Today Reminder – 31 January 2017

A reminder for today
All honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen. (1 Timothy 1:17)

This week is terrible and my workload seems to have doubled overnight. We talked about stress in the gym this morning and how stress can drain you. It is terrible how work stress and financial stress can burden us and weaken us to the extend where we can slip and fall. It is a massive grip the enemy can get on us when he convinces us that we are in trouble and stress moves in.

Jesus would simply ask “Why is your faith so small?”. Why do you still doubt and why do you forget who I am? Have I not shown you enough and does the night sky not exalt my power? Have you forgotten in whose image you are made and do you not remember how much I love you?

It is our worries and stress that we need to find a peaceful place and fall down on our knees and pray. We need to tell God about our concerns and we need to leave them there with Him. We must stop worrying and understand that He will take our worst moments and turn them into victories. He will step in and help you with your stress, all you need to do is trust Him, because when He changes you life it will be a massive moment and your faith will get a huge boost. This will glorify Him and change a few lost hearts in the process. We tend to forget that it is not about us. It is all about God and His glory.

So today we say all honor and glory to God forever and ever! He is the eternal King, the unseen one who never dies; he alone is God. Amen.

Lord, you are our God and we are nothing without you. Come and take our stress and challenges in your hands and give us strength and wisdom as we face today. Help us to carry your armour and fight the enemy without fear. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 30 January 2017

A reminder for today
This is a trustworthy saying, and everyone should accept it: "Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners"—and I am the worst of them all. (1 Timothy 1:15)

Oh my it is Monday and it started not so good. Impatience is one of the worst characteristics we can display and in most cases we end up hurting only ourselves. Traffic as usual was at its best this morning and watched how a lady impatiently just drove out of her turn right in front me as I drove into a turn. And yes I was upset just to think later that maybe she was waiting for a turn for a long time and no one thought of giving her one. So yes, the Holy Spirit worked with me giving me a better perspective. So my impatience and her impatience robbed me of a blessing. So much for shining the light and changing the world.

Have you ever felt the same way Paul describes himself. He says Jesus came to save the sinners and he was the worst of them all. Paul humbles himself and here and shows God’s grace in his humility. I have felt like that many times. I felt that compared to other sinners I am the worst of them all. But in fact God’s grace is so great and His forgiveness so powerful that we have no past to look back to nor do we have faults and mistakes that we need to remember and feel bad about. The enemy however loves to remind us of our faults in his attempts to change our humility into self pride and self pity.

Luckily God when God cleans up your life the is no past to remember nor do we need to feel guilty for it anymore. Our lives change from past dwellers to future movers. We become optimistic followers of God and eternity lovers for we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

So today I challenge you to break the past and see the future.

Lord, help us to understand your grace and know that the old self is no more and a new self exists in my place that lives by grace and flourishes by you love. Help us to wear your Armour and face our battles today. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 27 January 2017

A reminder for today
The purpose of my instruction is that all believers would be filled with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience, and genuine faith. (1 Timothy 1:5)

It is raining. It rained all night and it is still raining. It is so amazing. When it rains in Africa it is really beautiful here. Everywhere you go it is green almost as if the plants and trees are shouting out glory to God for the awesome blessing that rejuvenates all life. And finally it is Friday. This week was a hectic week and I am a little tired today. I can feel the work stress and the intensity of our workouts getting to me. My body aches and pains from a few very hard sessions this week. But let me rather ask how is things where you are? I guess for some of you it is winter while other are also enjoying the blessings of summer. My kids wants so much to see snow, so I guess one of these day we will have to make a plan and visit you guys in winter.

So today I want to know what is the purpose of life? Now there is a question that can ignite a nice debate. Well I am in now way looking for a debate nor am I about to tell you that your purpose lies in the stars and that you must dress like Elvis and join the circus. Nope I am just reminding you of a little verse that an awesome creator of heaven an earth left with us just as He went up to heaven.

Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age." (Matthew 28:18-20)

Now, think of it like this. You have purpose. There is a well planned reason for your existence and you are part of a massive kingdom of people that are all made with purpose. Each one uniquely crafted with a number of talents to fulfill that purpose. You are then strategically placed and guided to find that purpose in life and while becoming the person you are meant to be, you carry with you a gift. A message of life that changes hearts wherever you go. While traveling on this journey you can influence believers with love that comes from a pure heart, a clear conscience (because all your sin is forgiven), and a genuine faith.

So today I want you to remember again that you are special and prefect and amazing and wonderful and awesome and super and great and just very very cool. If you do not believe me, take a look in that mirror. Now that person starring back at you is in the image of God and He is perfect. So yes you are very cool.

Lord, I pray for each one reading your blog today and I ask that you bless them and keep them safe. Hold them and guide them and fill them with you Spirit so that they will burst with life. Put your armour on them and strengthen them. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
