Today's thought - 11 December 2025

 

I am taking two verses from this chapter in Ezekiel because in essence I want to point out how careful we must be against idolatry. It can be very subtle and although idolatry revolves around objects and images, it is rooted in the human heart. 

Therefore it is in not enough to get rid of the physical thing we have made into an idol, although this must often be done. John Calvin wrote that the human heart is an idol factory. To put idolatry to death we must deal with fears and desires that have grown far larger than any created thing. 

Whenever we love something or someone in a way that is not dominated by the love for God, that love has degenerated into a proud and idolatrous lust. At the heart of the gospel is the call to turn away from such idols and give our obedience to God. That is why it is so important that we always seek the kingdom of God above all else and His Word above the world. 

When we give our lives to Jesus we die from that world and step into a new world above the idols and desires of this world. You are a new creation in Jesus Christ. God should always be first.

So many times people are deceived by the enemy. People turn to evil for their own need and sometimes they do not care who they destroy in the path. The enemy makes people believe that they can get away with lies and deceit and yet they forget God sees it all. This scripture is so for me today. With lies the enemy has brought great sadness and empowered the wicked scheme of man by promising them what is not theirs. God says that because of this they will not see visions (hope or prosperity) for God will rescue His people from their grasp and they will know He is God.

God is truly amazing. As I continue in this battle and we face the next phase God just gives me this Word. My dear friend, God says that He has given us victory. He is our strength and our song. No matter your battle whether it is sickness, sorrow, deceit against you, marriage or financial. 

God gives us victory. We stand in the authority that is given to our Lord Jesus Christ and in His victory over satan lies our victory over satan. Yes satan comes to steal, kill and destroy but his fight is powerless because in the end God has already defeated him and even if he brings the worst trials over you, you will be victorious because by our faith and our trust in God we will overcome and we will triumph at the end of it bringing glory to God. 

In the end all I have is my faith and my trust in God. I cannot change people’s minds or hearts. I can only tell the truth and share God’s Word. God directs the path of man and He will destroy the wicked and the righteous, the meek will inherit the land in other words be victorious by God’s grace. 

No one is above God and no one will be pardoned in His judgement when your heart is evil. Be good and do what is right, my friend even when it is hard. Love people even those who hurt you.

Today's thought - 08 December 2025

My dear friend, what a wonderful and amazing God we worship. His love extends the universe and His power lives within each one of us. Some days will be beautiful and sunny and others will be dark with storms. God is always there and as we walk every day facing trials and battle against the evil schemes of the enemy. We can walk with no fear. 

God will destroy the plans of the wicked and turn it against them. We will see them rise and see them fall. But for those of us who desire and delight in God and seek His Word and His guidance. Who live by His laws and give to those seeking. We will see God’s blessings in our lives and His wrath on those who do bad things. 

He will make a way in our troubles and fill our live with blessings. We will always have more than we need and we will always have God with us. What an amazing thing it is to know that God will move all things in place and carry you through all your battles. Always keep your eyes on the Lord and wait patiently for His guidance and for Him to change your battles. 

He will always help you. Deliver you. Save you. Just trust Him.

Jesus says here that we can ask Him anything in His name and He will do it. I do not think He meant a Ferrari or anything extravagant that will be our downfall but instead what we truly need and in this need the Father will be glorified through our faith. 

It is not what we ask but how we ask. You cannot trust God for something and you have your own backup plan incase God takes too long. My friend, faith without works is dead so is faith without trust meaningless. When God puts something in your heart, trust Him and follow Him. Nothing that God says can be stopped by man or anyone for that matter. 

All I ask is that you trust Him completely and you will se His hand at work in your life. Speak life over yourself and everyone else and you will see people grow where you speak over them.

Today's thought - 06 December 2025

 

Many times we forget that God sees everything. He does not look at your good deeds or the outward appearance, but God sees the heart of man. God knows your thoughts and how you see and think of others. We can deceive the world, but we will never deceive God. 

When we give our lives to Jesus, God changes our stone hearts into hearts of flesh so that we can unite with Him and live out His Word. If we choose to ignore the Word of God and continue with “detestable things and their abominations”. Then God will turn that against them in not a good way. Jesus showed us how we must live out our lives. 

We must live in kindness, forgiveness and hope by showing the world around us the truth of the gospel and the life we have in Jesus. We are in the time of the year where people give us the opportunity to speak about Jesus and the power that is in His resurrection. My dear friend, God sees your heart, your struggles, your need and your pain and joy. 

He will surely change it all. Just trust Him and do not sin out of anger or distress but instead love and trust God. He will hear your prayer and move in your midst.

Today's thought - 05 December 2025

 

My dear friend, I write from my own experience and circumstances and how I perceive what God says to me today. God knows the storms we face and our Lord Jesus completely understands what we are going through. 

Today He is telling me that we should enter into His rest. God's rest is a state of spiritual peace and security found in trusting and ceasing from one's own efforts, rather than a rest from all activity. It involves relying on God's finished work, particularly through faith in Jesus Christ, and letting go of anxiety and self-reliance. 

Entering God's rest means to cease from self-focused labor and instead partner with God, trusting him to provide and work through you. Thus submitting to Him completely and to trust Him throughout your battle. It is in this place where we fully and completely rely on God so that we find the peace of God. 

And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Today's thought - 04 December 2025

 

The Lord is my shepherd. He is the very breath in my lungs. The light that shines in the darkness and His Word is a lamp to my feet. How wonderful is His promises and how amazing is His grace. As I read this Psalm, God just fills me with peace. 

Before me lies a mountain, but God is busy moving this mountain and He is opening doors. Even as I walk through this valley, He is with me and the world will see His power at work as He is with me and His rod and staff gives me comfort. 

As the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy, God is preparing a table of victory in their presence and He anoints my head. My cup surely runs over. Only goodness and mercy will follow us all the days of our lives, because God will help us in a time of trouble and He will deliver us from evil. 

Trust God and commit your life to Him and He will make it come to pass.

How wonderful and amazing is the grace and mercy of our Lord God. How great is His love and how amazing is His Word. Jesus said you cannot live by bread alone, but by every Word that is from God. 

Paul writes that through Jesus we can enter boldly into the throne of our loving and gracious God where we will find the grace we need in our battles. I can only speak of His amazing grace and tell you that our God is a God who keeps His promises and He will move your mountains. He will lift you up and He will give you strength. He will heal you and protect you. 

He is unbelievable. My dear friend, nothing is impossible for God. Speak your victory out and trust Him for He will deliver the righteous and destroy evil.

This morning I write to you with this amazing Word. God says no eye has seen, no ear has heard and no mind has imagined the things God has already prepared for those who love Him.

 As I continue with my battles God brings this amazing peace over me confirming again today that He has already gone before us and He has already prepared something far greater than we could ever imagine. 

I love the Lord with everything in me and I stand on His Word trusting Him that this fight is alreay won. My dear friend, stand with me in faith as we trust God completely with all our hearts and delight ourselves in His Word and His ways and we will see His mighty hand at work.

This is an amazing scripture and in it lies a great promise. The Lord continues with me as He is my strength through my battle. Today God is going to shatter the strength of the wicked as He lovingly takes care of the godly. 

He will help us and deliver us from the wicked and He will save us, because we trust in Him. Your inheritance is in the kingdom of heaven and it is forever. My dear friend, God says that the wicked will fall by their own devices and He will destroy their evil schemes. Trust in God and do good and He will make all come to pass and the meek shall inherit the earth.

This scripture is for me and I gladly share it with you, my friend. James writes that faith without works is dead. Now I know it is impossible to help every poor person and giving is not always possible, but the Holy Spirit will guide you in this because He is love and He will put on your heart where God needs you. 

Yes, giving in every sense is what God wants, but He also loves to take you out of your comfort. He put it in my heart to give sandwiches to the homeless close to my work. So every Wednesday I take a cold drink and sandwiches to these four guys and every time the Holy Spirit tells me to pray for them and give from my abundance. 

Now out of this God touches not only the lives of these four guys but also the people walking by in such a way that my HR manager who is not a Christian now wants to go to Church. It is amazing how God blesses me because of my faith and how my faith grows because of my obedience. My dear friend, we worship an amazing all powerful loving God who will never leave you nor forsake you. 

Like Peter kept his eyes on Jesus in the storm, keep your eyes on Him and you will never sink.

Today's thought - 29 November 2025

 

John said here in Luke 3, that someone much greater than he is coming. One who baptises in the Holy Spirit and with fire. Now baptism as we know is leaving the old behind in the water and emerging a new and clean person. It publicly symbolizes a commitment to Jesus and signifies the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection, representing a death to sin and a new life in Christ. 

Equally important is being baptised by in the Holy Spirit. It is after this that believers start speaking in tongues and a spiritual communion is established with the Holy Spirit but it is important that we also ask God to baptise us with fire. God is a consuming fire and as the Holy Spirit baptises you with fire it cleanses your body and God purifies you and basically sets you on fire for His gospel. 

To get baptised with the Holy Spirit and with fire is simply asking God and He will.  My friend, again I state that a intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is vital to your day to day walk with Jesus. Seek Him and talk to Him every chance you get and the issues of life will disappear.

The day you gave your life to Jesus, the enemy put a target on your back. To be a follower of Jesus is not an easy path. Here Jesus clearly says that the gateway to life is narrow and difficult and only few ever find it. Life can be hard and unfair and somedays we feel overwhelmed by the things that happens. 

As we step into this day there might be a difficult task awaiting you, work might be too much, it can be sickness or even loss. Jesus said His yoke is light and His burden is easy to bear. When we give our lives to Jesus, yes we enter a war zone but there are over seventy scriptures where God says to not be afraid. 

Life may seem hard but in this all you have the helper, the Holy Spirit and He is vital in my daily walk. If it was not for His comfort and guidance and help, I would have been lost. God chose you, my friend. You are His child and you are not of this world anymore. Your victory is already given, trust God and commit to His Word and He will make it pass. 

Be kind, love and do to other what you want then to do to you. Your inheritance is beyond this world and your battle is already won.

Today's thought - 27 November 2025

 

We all have our battles. I stand in a massive fight and God is doing the most amazing miracles around me. I am so so grateful for His love and His mercy and His grace that abounds me. As I face this week God so lovingly tells us today that we should be satisfied and content with what we have. 

We are stuarts of what is in fact God’s possessions and God’s money. If we can fully understand that we will never be poor. Now what is very important and I emphasise this because in our struggles we face people good or bad but sometimes the enemy deceives good people to do bad things. So, God says this so clearly “I will never leave you nor forsake you” so that you can say boldly: 

The Lord is my helper and I will not fear what man shall do unto me. Paul wrote this knowing the wickedness of man when he himself face many terrible beatings. That is why God says if He is for us, who can be against us. My friend you already have the victory and the authority because of the works of the cross. Take up your authority and speak life over your challenges and God will answer and He will move your mountains.

Yesterday we spoke about this. I had coffee with an amazing friend and as we discussed people and their actions, the question came up why do Christians do evil things. The Holy Spirit reminded me of this scripture and how Jesus said there will be false prophets. 

He actually said they come in sheep’s clothing but inside they are wolves. If you do not have an intimate relationship with Holy Spirt the Word of God will be just another book on your shelf. The Holy Spirit wrote the Bible and He brings the Bible to life as your relationship with Him increases. Anyone can call themselves a Christian but a follower of Jesus Christ is a complete surrender to the Holy Spirit and the death of your worldly self. 

That is where the fruits of the Spirit comes in as Paul describes it so well in Galatians 5 “The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.”

The Holy Spirit reminds me of this scripture today. No weapon formed against you will prosper and every tongue that rise against you in judgement you shall condemn. My dear friend, as the battle rage on and this world tries to deceive you and break you, you must stand strong. You know satan is the master of lies and his mastered this over thousands of years. 

He will try anything to bring you down and get you off your path. The minute you become a thread to his plans he will come to destroy you. Jesus said the enemy comes to steal, kill and destroy but He (Jesus) came to give life. God said do not be afraid or discouraged for He will personally go ahead of you (Det 31:8). 

Be strong and courageous and trust God in and through everything. He will save you from the enemy and He will set you free.

Today's thought - 24 November 2025

 

This verse is on my heart as the storm rages on. It is amazing that sometimes we get a Word from God and we kinda misunderstand it trying to make worldly sense of it. Then as time progress God adds to it through His scriptures and we end standing in this massive battles and it all makes sense. 

The Holy Spirit reminds me that Jesus said if this world hates you do not be surprises, because it hated Him first. Then He added this “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you. Remember what I told you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master. If they persecuted me, they will persecute you also. If they obeyed my teaching, they will obey yours also. They will treat you this way because of my name, for they do not know the one who sent me.”  

My dear friend, God is very straight forward here in Psalm 37. He will help us and He will deliver us from evil.

I want to share this with you as I stand in the midst of what is probably one of my greatest battles yet. I have been writing to you about persistence for example keep asking and keep knocking. Here in Matthew 15 we read about this woman’s persistence to get Jesus to hear her and finally she kneeled before Him in worship and was willing to take even a little of His grace. 

Therefore Jesus said that her faith has lead to her daughter’s healing. We all have battles and we all face difficulties. The Lord reminds me that we will have tribulation but not to fear for He has overcome all. This is His Word for you: “He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun.”

Today's thought - 22 November 2025

 

People have a way to challenge us. There is always one or two that you feel somedays you just want to shake them a bit. This scripture is one of my biggest challenges. I get upset at people for their lack or arrogance or even entitlement they have and I always have to ask the Holy Spirit for a clean and open heart towards them. 

Funny thing is that though we make it through today that same pre-conceived assumptions are back tomorrow. Jesus goes on here in Matthew 7 and says ““And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own?” This is so important. There are two things Jesus said that we should keep in our minds. 

One, change starts with you, so look at your own faults first before you look at others. Two, Jesus said you must even love your enemy and do good towards them. Love is the answer to all our issues with one another. 

When you correct someone out of love and concern for their wellbeing, then you display the love Jesus modelled. My dear friend, always try to see the good in other and strive to be better and guide them with respect and love. Sometimes that love is hard to hear but if you follow the Holy Spirit in it, it will have the effect needed.

It is so important that we fully understand what Jesus is saying here in Matthew 7. If we who are not good know to give good things to our children, then why do we doubt God. Jesus makes it clear that he who keeps on asking shall receive and he who knocks, for him the door will be opened. 

I am adding to what I wrote to you about yesterday. God is our Father and we are His sons/daughters, so how much more does He know to give us what we need. The only problem is we do not ask and when we ask we expect it to be like takealot. God is not takealot and His desires is not to see us fail or make wrong choices. 

He wants us to succeed and to prosper. The verse is clear “Keep on asking” and “Keep on knocking”. Not ask once and give up or knock once and leave, because everyone who seeks will find and everyone who knocks, the door will be opened for. My dear friend, trust God and commit your life to Him and all things will work out for good.

Faith is a small word but sometimes the hardest thing to do. How many times have we found ourselves before impossible odds and when it requires faith and patience we give up. We stand at the door and we knock and if Jesus does not open this door fast enough we give up and follow our own plans. How many times have we given up right before the change or breakthrough comes. 

Jesus said to His disciples “O ye of little faith”. He was upset because regardless of all He did, they still lacked faith. That is why Jesus said to the boy’s father “Anything is possible, if you believe”. Where are you today, my friend?  Are you about to give up? Is your challenges to much? Is your burden too heavy?  Are you losing hope and ready to give up?  Jesus is looking at you today and He is telling you that anything is possible. 

Have faith and be patient. Do not quit and do not give up nor stop asking God for what you need. Jesus spoke and the demons flees. He spoke and the universe was created. He is also speaking over your life. All His promises in His Word are for each of us. He will step in at the right time and He will give you the desires of your heart. Align yourself with His Word and His will and step into your inheritance. God will make all things turn out for good.

Ezekiel talks against idolatry here in chapter 6 and he tells Israel of God’s wrath against idol worship. By nature the human heart is idolatrous. It loves itself and the world instead of God and His will. Idolatry can take many forms and is often a secret sin. God is against idolatry and He deserves and demands our worship. We must guard ourselves against idolatry but also speak against it in the lives of others. The enemy has a way to sneak lies into our minds and to those around us. That is why it is again so important that we have and keep a close and intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit. He will always guide us in the right direction and steer us away from evil. My dear friend, we must remain humble in our journey and stand firm in our purpose. Always strive to be a light in darkness and give God His rightful place in your life.

I think that in everything we do we should seek to bring glory to God. As our holiday comes to an end I remind myself that we should delight ourselves in God and commit our ways unto Him. I guess an easier life would be great but that would not require a close relationship with God, but instead it would hinder our growth. It is not this life that we labour for but the life eternal with our Lord God. The life beyond this one. This life is the practise ground for the life that truly awaits us. If we strive to life in the kingdom of God already now we will see a glims of what awaits us in eternity. My dear friend, take time today and just be in God’s presence and wait patiently for Him to move in your life. Do not worry about tomorrow or desire that of the wicked, but seek God in everything, then He will bless you in everything.

Today's thought - 17 November 2025

Sometimes we all need to be a little readjusted. You know, reminded of where we should be instead of where we are headed. Sometimes we fail, we get angry and we kinda miss the plot. The enemy is cunning and patient and he will wait until you are comfortable and then they will set their trap. 

My dear friend, today the Holy Spirit reminds me that I am human and I have flaws but in the midst of my failures and when I am weak, God remains the strength of my heart and He is with me forever. It is important that we always seek God even when we made a mistake. It is important to be near Him and make Him your shelter when it is difficult. In the end you will rise and overcome and God will be glorified through your faithfulness. Be strong, my friend and do not allow the enemy to deceive you.

I can only proclaim the wonders and grace of God. His love and mercy lifts us up out of the pit and He sets our feet on a rock. He brings comfort when we are sad and joy when we are down. His blessings leaves me amazed and His grace surrounds me. He surely has put a new song in my heart and His joy is my strength. I continue to seek His will and walk in His path. As David wrote only goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life. Even in the midst of our battles when the storm rages on, we will find comfort in the Lord our God. He restores and He will lead us in the paths of righteousness. My cup truly runneth over.

Today's thought - 15 November 2025

 

The minute Jesus was baptised by John, the enemy came to tempt Him. Now important to note is that Jesus fasted for forty days and then the enemy came. This is important to understand that satan is patient and he will wait until you are at your lowest of weakest moment, then he comes. When you are tired and weary then he will bring all kinds of trials and temptations across your path. 

Now there are two things you need to consider here. One man shall not live by bread alone but from every Word that comes from God. Two when we are weak, we are strong so that the glory of God can resonate in our victories. Every day I battle against the enemy and he comes mainly when the day is near its end. Again I emphasise on the importance of our walk with the Holy Spirit. 

If I do not seek His guidance and strength in my trials, I will surely fail every time, but because we stand in a close relationship I remain standing and I defeat the enemy through the authority I have in Jesus Christ. The minute you gave your life to Jesus is the minute you stepped into war. Remember always, He who is in you is far greater than he who is in the world.

God was showing His people here in Ezekiel the consequences of their sin. It emphasises God’s patience with sinners and again how great His love and grace is. Although He gave many signs the message they conveyed was the same. 

Israel’s sin was going to be followed by judgement. When God speaks we should listen. He never changed His message and it was still the same as the one given over 800 years earlier to Moses. My dear friend, the wrath of God is coming to sinners. 

Let no one deceive you with empty words but share the gospel with as many as you can and if there are any sin or unforgiven grudges you carry, repent and let the Holy Spirit set you free. The harvest is great and labourers are few. 

Do not miss the opportunity so save a life. Speak Jesus to the mountains and to the streets and carry His message with you always.

Today the Holy Spirit just confirms again that God is with you and with His help you will do mighty things. You will conquer the enemy and succeed where it seems impossible. You will defeat the enemy and stand in victory because Jesus has already defeated the enemy. 

Rise mighty warrior for the God of heavens armies are with you and nothing can pull you from His love. As Jesus said you will trample on snakes and adders and you will do greater things than He did. My dear friend, we do not worship a mediocre God. We worship the creator of heaven and earth who by a mere Word created all. 

How much more can you accomplish by the Word of God. Be strong and courageous for streams of living water will flow from you.

Today's thought - 12 November 2025

 

My dear friend as someone who exercise a lot I understand the importance of nutrients in food for your body. You cannot exercise and never nourish your body. It will grow weak and exercise will be futile. Just as God tells Ezekiel to fill his stomach with bread, we need to fill our lives with the bread of life, the Word of God. 

His Word is a living book that builds and transforms our lives but most important it nourishes our souls. That is why you should spend time in the Word of God and meditate on it daily. It is a life giving source of strength and the very sword in your armour. That is why God said to Ezekiel to allow God’s Words to sink deep into his heart, because we need to nourish ourselves first before we can be nourishment to others. 

Spend as much time as you can in God’s Word and in prayer for it is the essence of our victories.

Today's thought - 11 November 2025

 

I am coming back to this verse today. You know that some days we have questions. We wonder about the path before us and have doubt that we hear God’s voice correct. We face storms and some battles seem to be endless. It almost feels as if you have reached the very end of it and yet it still continuous. 

Today the Holy Spirit just reconfirms that no matter the size of the waves and the strength of the wind in your storm amidst your valley, God is there. He is with you. He is that still small voice and even if it seems that you are standing alone, He will rise in your life and slain the wicked. He will speak into your storm and rebuke the wind and calm the waters. 

He will be your fortress and the wicked will fail. Delight in Him and He will give you the desires of your heart. This is a promise from God. Seek His kingdom and fill your day with His Word. He will save you and shelter you and as you commit to this, He will make it all come to pass.

Today's thought - 10 November 2025

 

O how we love to hold on to our pain. We share our misfortunes and we cry out to God and we do not understand why we have to be burdened with this. 

My dear friend, funny enough most of our pain is due to choices we made outside God’s will and yes sometimes we are hurt by people close to us. A friend, a family member or a partner and this hurt can harden us to a world that could be helped. We can either learn from our mistakes and seek God’s wisdom or guidance or not. 

We can pass through our valleys and draw nearer to God and become a help to others or we can sit in self pity and cry. Jesus was mistreated, lied about, judged, abandoned, tortured and killed. Yes you will face many trials, but listen to God’s Word. I cry out to God and He restores my health. This means not only physical but emotional too. 

It is amazing how God heals my pain, my sorrow and my sickness. His grace is truly sufficient. The man I was a year ago and the man that writes to you are two complete different people. One was lost in his misery and the other is a son of God living in a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. 

The one was doomed and the other is a blessing to a broken world by the grace and mercy of a loving God. It is so true, weeping may last through the night but joy comes in the mourning. Step out of your pity and into your freedom through the love of Jesus Christ.

Today's thought - 09 November 2025

We all know that there is only one way into heaven. Jesus came to set all people free from sin and to open heavens doors to us. He is the spotless lamb of God who gave His life for us so that we can step into our Father’s presence without blemish. 

I always loved Pauls words “To live is Christ and to die is gain”. Yes the obvious is that one day we all die and we will dwell forever in the house of the Lord, but last night the Holy Spirit showed me something else. When we give our lives to Jesus we die. Yes, we die from the old and worldly self into gain and that is a life filled by the Holy Spirit and walking daily in God’s grace and love knowing we are saved from a certain death into an eternal life. We died to this world and we inherit an eternal world. 

This does not mean one day we will see the kingdom of God. No my dear friend.  Once you give your life to Jesus and you step into your purpose and you live your life according to the Word of God, you will come to experience the kingdom of heaven now. God said it simply and I have written it so many times. Seek first the kingdom of heaven and its righteousness and all shall be given to you. 

Stop living in a poor and broken mindset and live in a forgiven, restored, child of God mindset. God look at you and He sees good life of hope and prosperity.   That is why Jesus said, look at the birds and God takes care of them, how much more valuable are you because He gave is only Son to save you. Why do we live in a guild driven I am not worthy lifestyle, because the enemy keeps lying to you. 

God can bless the little and turn it into abundance. He did it with two fishes and five loafs of bread. He turned a fruitless day of fishing into a catch so great they needed more boats. How much more will He do for you when you wait patiently on Him and live a life dedicated to Him.

Today's thought - 08 November 2025

 

The age old battle in the mirror has left so many seeking the wrong acceptance. Who do you see when you look into the mirror? Do you see fault and a need to change what is staring back at you or do you see someone made in the perfect image of God. How we see ourselves has a direct link to where our identity lies. 

Paul writes that the created thing cannot say to the creator why did he make it like that. We so like to question God and when it comes to imperfections we supposedly see, we listen to the enemy and we eat the apple. My dear friend, a worldly mentally will always leave a void that is impossible to fill. It is like a bottomless well, the more you put in the deeper it goes. You will never fill it because there will always be something else. 

When we accept Jesus He fills that void with His unlimited presence in our lives. Now our identity shifts from a bottomless pit to the glory of a living God. Our perspective changed and so our desires. We stop the need to please a world and seek to please and glorify God. Now we see through the eyes of a perfect God who makes perfect creations. Thus we see ourselves as His children and no more orphans of a broken world. 

My friend you are wonderfully and fearfully made meaning you are created with awe-inspiring care, uniqueness, and intentionality. It suggests that "fearfully" implies a sense of reverence and respect for God's powerful creation, while "wonderfully" points to your unique and distinct design, which is set apart.

They say that your eyes are the window to your soul. Jesus also states that your eyes give light to your body and healthy eyes fills the body with light. In Proverbs we read “Don’t eat with people who are stingy; don’t desire their delicacies.They are always thinking about how much it costs.”Eat and drink,” they say, but they don’t mean it.You will throw up what little you’ve eaten,and your compliments will be wasted.” 

People with darkness are worldly people who models a giving heart but in reality are deep and dark and money is their master. That is why Jesus went on to say in Matthew 6 you cannot have two masters. My dear friend, when we are Holy Spirit filled and God becomes the centre of our lives we will shine a light that flows with waters of blessing. Do not fear what tomorrow brings but seek always the Kingdom of God. 

Let you light shine in this dark world and share the love of Jesus Christ wherever you go.

Today's thought - 06 November 2025

 

Are you tired, my friend? Are you at a place where you feel weary and overburdened. Does it feel that even though you sleep, it does not feel enough. The battles that we face emotionally can be ten times more exhausting than any physical one. 

Stress and anxiety can burden you into a place of depression. Sometimes it is personal and sometimes it is work related, but emotionally you are at your end. Days seem to be just another day as you continue to stay above the water. 

My dear friend, God knows where you are and He sees your fight. You belong to Him and He paid a very high price for you. This means that you are so valuable to God and He will not let you be overwhelmed by your circumstances. 

He will hold you up by His right hand and guide you with His council. Your health may fail and your spirit may be tired, but God will be the very strength that will pull you from the pit back into the palace. He is your God and your redeemer and your saviour forever. 

Step into His presence and let Him revive you and you will be a force to be feared by the enemy.

Today's thought - 05 November 2025

Do not fear. There are so many times in the Bible that God clearly says do not be afraid. Fear creeps into our lives to divide us and to bring distance between us and God. 

Fear destroys faith and fear can be very overwhelming at times. Jesus said that in this world we will have tribulation but fear not for He already overcome this world. In essence fear is a liar and a tool the enemy uses to great effect, because we allow it into our lives. 

My dear friend, just as God told Ezekiel to not be afraid nor fear the words and threats this world bring, He is also telling you to not be afraid because you have been given  authority over the enemy. Jesus said look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.

Today's thought - 04 November 2025

It has been a few hard days. This time of year everybody is tired and it seems as though we are under siege from all sides. I am again in awe of how wonderful and amazing the Holy Spirit is. That soft small voice that guides me, reminds me, encourages me and just speaking into my heart is unbelievable. 

As we reach the end of this Psalm I have to admit, I love this one. My dear friend, what wonderful future awaits you. God will always step in and rescue you and He is your shelter against the attacks of the enemy. He is your fortress and He will bring you to still waters where you will find rest and peace. He will renew and restore you and He will comfort you. Trust in Him and wait patiently as we commit our lives to God and He will make it all work out for good.

Today's thought - 03 November 2025

 

I often read that scripture says we must wait patiently for the Lord. In this Psalm again God says wait patiently, but this verse begins with “Be still in God’s presence”. 

I do not think David meant be still by emptying your mind. I believe he meant to be still is to be in control of your thoughts and to calm down and be patient. That is why he continues and says to stop being angry. Now at some stage we all fell victim to the ways of the wicked. 

Maybe even now you face challenges because of the schemes of wickedness. David simply states that anger leads to harm and I think from his experience he knew what he was talking about. Then the Word says God will destroy the wicked and if you remain patient and wait on the Lord you will possess the land. In other words what was taken or lost will be returned. My dear friend, never underestimate the power of our God and the extend of His mercies and His wrath. 

He will move your mountain and He will restore you and heal you. Wait patiently for God and do not worry about evil.

We all find ourselves in valleys some days and we are burdened by the challenges and problems we face. I love this Psalm so that is why we are referring from it most of the week. 

I have written so many times that we are guided and directed by the Holy Spirit and again in this Psalm God clearly states that He directs our steps and very important is that He delights in every detail of our lives and finally He holds us by the hand. 

My dear friend, is this not just an amazing promise from our Father. Not only does He guides us but He loves and wants to be part of every detail of our lives. Just as I take my daughter’s hand down the escalator to keep her from falling, God also takes us by the hand to keep us from falling. God is good and His mercies and goodness will follow you all the days of your life.

I suppose content is one of the major battles so many face today. We see all the nice stuff and we desire. I love cars and a nice car always seems to have a bit of my attention. 

Sometimes our desires for more leads us into bad decisions and we end up in financial battle and then we seek God’s help but we got ourselves in this predicament. This is so powerful. The little that the righteous man has is better than the riches of many wicked. 

Ultimately this world is a mere moment before we enter into heaven. Nothing this world has is even close to what we will have in heaven. So, to be content with what you have will show God that He can trust you with little so He will trust you with more. Only desire the kingdom of God and all the rest will fall in place.

Today's thought - 31 October 2025

 

The meek will posses the land. There is a great promise in this. It is the humble and kind that will take back their land and bring glory to the Lord. The wicked may prosper but they will fade and finally be no more.  

The wicked will plot against the poor (followers of Jesus), yet they will fall by their own devices. My dear friend, what has the enemy stolen from you. As the thief comes to kill and destroy, he will fail because God laughs because He knows what satan’s end will look like. He already defeated this world and its ruler. 

So, stand up and take back what was stolen. Cast down the enemy and stand in your victory and authority that is in Jesus Christ. Jesus said “Look, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions and on the full force of the enemy, and nothing will hurt you.”  

My prayer is that you will be bold and that God will give you strength and confidence to withstand the enemy and take back what was lost and that you will stand strong and unwavering in your storms.

Today's thought - 30 October 2025

Somehow we fall short of the “delight in the Lord” part. Interesting thing and I guess obvious is that the closer we move towards our purpose the more intense the attack of the enemy. 

Guilt has always been a stumbling block in my life due to the life I lived in my youth. The same attacks are now popping up as I am getting closer to my purpose in Jesus Christ. The only problem is that as the psalm starts here the Holy Spirit has already put this in place. 

So in other words even though the attacks are more I do not worry about the wicked nor am I concerned about their plans for it will be like grass and soon fade because I am rooted into the main branch, Jesus Christ and my past is dead to me as it is to God. 

My future is what is important thus I will take delight in the Lord and He will give me the desires of my heart. My dear friend, do not let the lies and deceit of the enemy steal your purpose or your dreams. Dream big because we worship a big God.

Satan is the father of lies and it is interesting how lies have become so normal in our society. People even go as far as calling it a little white lie. When the reality is sin is sin and a lie is a lie na mater how we sugar coat it. 

David writes here that the godly will rejoice when they see injustice avenged and that there is a reward for those who live for God. In essence it is a simple choice but the result of our choices determine the commitment we have towards God. 

My dear friend, the Word of God cannot be amended to suit our requirements but we must adjust our lives to match the Word of God. There is no other Word and there are no middle way. Yes, God’s love and grace is infinite but His judgement is equally real. Be careful for the deceit of the enemy in the tongues of man. Live to please God and not to grief the Holy Spirit.

I think we all reach a point where we feel that our joy is lost and we struggle with decisions and the results of our choices. Where we once danced in joy we are now filled with regret and sorrow. Life has a way of pulling a curtain over our eyes and we miss the beauty of God’s love and grace. 

I do not know what your week so far looked like nor can I stand in your shoes. Are you at a crossroad staring at decisions that must be made or are you in the after effect of choices made. I love how this scripture says “give us back the joys we once had”. 

My friend, as this day opens up and we go about our ways my prayer is simply that God will show you His will and His way. I pray that you will be filled with overwhelming joy and that the clouds that hang over you will fade away and turn into dancing. 

I pray the release of your burdens and the renewal of your mind so that you will have a new drive in you today. May you find peace in your decisions and joy in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today's thought - 27 October 2025

 

This world and its ruler feeds on fear and anxiety. In every aspect of your life they seek a place to enter doubt and fear into our minds. Worries and being overwhelmed breeds more areas for the enemy to grip you into self destruction. 

There are constant suicides and people are gripped into the very lies the enemy builds to a point where they give up. My dear friend, this scripture is vital to your growth and sanity in a broken world. 

Paul makes it clear just as Jesus said. Do not worry about anything (meaning nothing). Instead pray about everything. Take it all to God and lay it at His feet. Tell Him what you need and thank Him for it. This is vital because faith moves mountains. 

Once you gave it to God and thanked Him for the outcome you will experience His peace that surpasses all understanding and this peace will guard your heart and mind so that the enemy cannot pollute it. I pray that you will put all your challenges before God and trust Him completely and that His peace will overflow in you.

Paul writes here that he is able to be content in everything life throws at him. When he is need or when he has abundance, he still has content for he said we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. 

My dear friend, we should not put aside that which we have in Jesus. There is power in prayer and there is power in praise. When the storms hit today, step back and worship the Lord. Resist the enemy and stand firm in your faith. May the Lord of hosts, the God who created heaven and earth, our God supply in all your need according to His riches in glory by Jesus Christ.

I am in essence just a man that faces similar battles as you do each day. Sometimes we follow our own heads and it ends up in disaster and sometimes we listen and things are ok. 

God says that He will make all things turn out for good. I guess I question this somedays when I look back at what happened and I am again troubled by these events. The Holy Spirit knowing me so well gave me this scripture today so I can tell you to have hope. 

Have hope because this world and the ruler of this world can never consume us because God’s compassions never fail and they are renewed every morning. So, today you are standing in new compassions and mercy that God pours out on us.  

Do not lose hope nor faith no matter how desolate you feel. As the year draws to an end we are all tired and probably frustrated but God is faithful and He will carry you through your storms.

John here referring to Jesus who will baptise us with the Holy Spirit and with fire. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is just as important as we transform from our old self into the new that God has designed us to be. 

John says here that one mightier than he is coming. Now very important is what Jesus said: “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.” 

My dear friend, remember that we stand in the authority and victory that lies in Jesus and that He who is in us is a powerful life breathing God. This is why faith is so important in our journey. Seek the Holy Spirit today and work to have a more intimate relationship with Him. 

Let His voice be your guide and His wisdom lead you.

We serve a great and merciful God. Full of love and compassion. Guilt is the driving force in so many of satan’s schemes and attacks. He wants you to feel unworthy of God and the purpose before you. So many have lost their fire because of guilt. 

If we did not fail at times and fall at times, how can God teach us anything? It is more pride that steals salvation than guilt. So many dreams shatter because we make a mistake or fail in some way and then the enemy steals your destiny. 

Today you can stand up and petition satan to return all he has stolen from you knowing you serve a big and powerful God that gave up His Son, Jesus Christ so you can be free from the yoke of sin. God promises here that He is ready to forgive and abundant in mercy. 

Bring all that hinders your growth before God and let Him cleanse you of all guilt and sin by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Then stand up, renew your mind through the Holy Spirit and take up the armour of God and step back into the fight. 

God will never leave you and He will protect you. Dream big dreams, because with God nothing is impossible.
