Today's thought - 04 October 2025

 

In us lives the Holy Spirit. He is a kind and loving God that literally walks every step of the way with us. He is a Spirit of resurrection and restoration. 

He takes that which was damaged by the world and transforms it into a strong and courageous person. He renews and heals. He teaches and guides. 

He reveals and shows. He is a living person dwelling in you with feelings and emotions and thoughts. He shares and reveals God’s plan and He protects by warning us. He is a wonderful and amazing God. 

My dear friend, I cannot emphasise it more how important it is that you get to know the Holy Spirit. Seek Him and spend time with Him. He so desires to spend time with you. Be part of your day to day work and thoughts. 

You are His priority, so please also make Him yours.

Today's thought - 03 October 2025

 

The passion translation just opens Romans 8 so nicely. I just want to put this in your thoughts today: if God is for us, who can be against us. I think in this lies so much power. 

Consider for a moment you have the Holy Spirit living in you. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in you. 

Now put this together - God dwells in me and if He is for me what can possibly get me down, hurt me, take from me, curse me, damage me, joke about me, gossip, lie or even destroy. 

If God was willing to give His only Son for your salvation, how much more will He not give that which is truly in your best interest. My dear friend, God is for you in every way and you are a son/daughter of the most high. Take on today knowing this and meditating on this every moment.

Today's thought - 02 October 2025

 

Our path is set and determined by God. In essence the cloud of witnesses is not primarily given for support or moral encouragement but also serves like witnesses  in courtroom for God’s redemptive purposes. 

Lay aside the sins that beset us especially unbelief and apostasy. Then we run the race. So, basically we should change or allow the Holy Spirit to change the way we think and walk by faith knowing God’s intensions and purpose is for good. 

God states it clearly in Jeremiah: For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 

My dear friend, come with me as we run the race set before us in faith knowing we already have the victory in Jesus and the authority to step on the attacks of the enemy as we push on with endurance and courage. 

Look up at the mountain. Where does your strength comes from? Your strength is from God who made heaven and earth.

Today's thought - 01 October 2025

 

Jeremiah gives us a beautiful picture here of conversion. In the mercy and grace of our Lord God, He brings about true contrition in the hearts of His people. 

They weep over their sins and return not only to their land but also to God. Conversion is not a movement of the body but a motion of the heart, turning away from sin in humility, brokenness, and grief and turning to the Lord in desire and hope. 

It is in that humble conviction that we find true forgiveness and salvation. When we help others in their conversions we should be careful that our intentions are for God’s glory and not our own. Nobody is too lost to be saved. 

It is so important that we love unconditionally and seek God’s will in everything. Sometimes the only Jesus people will see before conversion, is you. 

Be humble and kind and allow God to move in His time.

Today's thought - 30 September 2025

 

God is a mountain moving, chain breaking, forgiving and merciful God. When God moves the earth shakes. The enemy tremble and people are set free. 

I urge you again that we put God first in all we do. It is so important that we know who He is. Solomon wrote the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. Fear here is being humble and to respect. God can break any chains of those who are willing but those who are arrogant and rebellious (unwilling) will dwell in a dry land never understanding why they never have peace. 

Anyone can be saved and anyone can be set free from worldly bondage. My friend, let us love others and show God to a world hardened by circumstances. 

Be kindhearted and guided by the Holy Spirit as we walk out into our day. If you for some reason are still bound by old wounds or current misfortune, I pray that you will be set free today and renewed in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. 

No mountain is too high and no valley to deep for God to change anyone and anything.

Today's thought - 29 September 2025

 

This verse in the King James states “exceeding abundantly above all”. The passion puts it so nicely. Firstly I have to say that prayer works and to intercede has a greater effect than you can ever imagine. 

In my lowest I get energised to do more give more and continue longer and that is not because I am fit but purely because you interceded for me. Truly I say to you that we should really take a moment and just let the Holy Spirit open this scripture in your heart. Do not doubt God’s power and never minimise Him. 

He will do and accomplish far more in your life than you can possibly imagine. His power surely works in us in ways I cannot explain, but believe me it is amazing. My dear friend, today I pray God’s grace and power over you. 

I pray that you will be renewed and strengthened and that you will walk into this day with Godly courage and persevere in your race to be victorious. Again I ask love everyone unconditionally and seek God more. For it is by love that we are different to a lost world and by love we can truly show the heart of Jesus.

Today's thought - 28 September 2025

 

How are you, my friend? God is good - all the time. There is nothing you did or can do that is too much for God’s forgiveness and His mercy. It is the enemy that tries so hard to deceive us to think we are beyond forgiveness. 

I love this Psalm. Be merciful O Lord - how many times do we slip or make a mistake or say or think something wrong. 

You O Lord lift up my soul - how many times are we tired and broken from the burdens we take. You are abundant in mercy - all through His life on earth Jesus loved and served and despite the pain and suffering He still took all our sins to the cross. We will never be able to fully comprehend God’s mercy and grace. 

Give ear O Lord to my prayer - my dear friend. God listens all the time. He sees all, knows all and hears all of our prayers. 

Paul writes: Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.

I think the Holy Spirit brought me to Ephesians 3 today for encouragement. I do not know what your week was like but mine was tough. I don’t know if you ever reached that place where there is nowhere else but God to go to. 

You finally come to the end of yourself and you stand humbly before God and there are for a moment no words but just His presence. I love how Paul writes we have boldness and access with confidence. And then he says do not lose heart in tribulations (his and yours). 

He goes on saying that God will grant you to be strengthened by the Holy Spirit in the inner man (woman). The Spirit strengthens faith by which Jesus is present in the heart of the inner man. This will make us believers strong and stable in our assurance of God’s love. 

My friend, my prayer is simple today: May God grant you all the grace and strength you need to pass all tribulations. In the mighty name of Jesus.

I just want to share this with you today. We are all one in Jesus Christ and we all stand in this on the promise that was given to Abraham. In the baptism where we put away our old self (ways) and put on a new person transformed through Jesus Christ we inherit the promise given to Abraham. Thus you are by right blessed by God and free from judgement. 

There are nothing that separates or split us from this. Not race or gender or position or group that separates us but we are all one in Jesus Christ. My dear friend, show God’s love to everyone you meet and love unconditionally. 

Without love we are nothing because God is love. You cannot love God but hate your neighbour. Come with me today and let us love one another and defeat the lies of the enemy by helping others carry their burdens. Your battles may seem unbearable today but know this. I stand in prayer behind you fighting for you. 

I love you my friend. You are wonderfully and fearfully made.

Some days it feels as if I am my own greatest enemy. Paul writes it so nicely in Galatians  5: So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 

For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. 

As we continue in our walk we will face days where we are in conflict with our old or rather default self. My dear friend as you battle with this seek God more and rely on His divine interaction. David writes bend down oh Lord and hear me. 

I am going to change it slightly. Father hear our plea and our need as we are challenged. Hear our cry for help and save us from falling as we desire to serve you and trust you. You are our God and nothing is impossible for you. 

Rescue your children and realign us with your will.

Every day we are tormented by a relentless foe who so desperately seeks our demise. The battle is in our minds as the enemy tries everything to mislead us and fill our heads with lies. 

He is relentless and cunning and it is so important that we are vigilant. Today my prayer for you is that God will teach us His ways so that we can walk in truth and glorify His name. 

I pray God’s anointing over your life and that He will rescue you from darkness and deliver you from the enemy. To set your feet upon His rock and steady you on your path. 

I pray His mercy and strength over you today and that you will succeed in every challenge that lies ahead.

I always come back to Ephesians 4 or rather the Holy Spirit brings me back here many times. Paul starts by saying he is a prisoner to the Lord and then continues to say you must walk worthy of your calling. When he says prisoner he is exclaiming his bond to Jesus. 

Once you are in prison you are confined to the role and regulations of a prisoner. You are bound by the laws and regulations of that institution. 

Paul explains his statement by saying you must walk worthy of the calling and to love with humility, patience and enduring all with self-control. This is a guideline on how to live your life and living it in relationships in your daily walk and then he adds in love. In essence we must live a life worthy of God’s calling in humility and love for others. 

It is important that we die to our old self and embrace our new life in Jesus Christ. 

Give God the right place in your life, then all else will fall into place.

It is interesting how God shows grace to Elam and Egypt but not to Damascus and Edom. God showed grace to Jacob but not to Esau. 

God reminds me today to never take His grace for granted. It is important that not all who calls themselves Christian will be saved. 

Jesus made it clear that he who saves his life will lose it and he who loses his life will save it. You cannot worship two gods. It is important that we understand God’s grace and that we always earnestly seek His grace trusting in His promise that all who come to Him will be saved. 

Come with me today, my friend as we take up our cross and dedicate our lives to our Lord. I pray that God will give you the strength and desire to do what pleases Him. Be humble in your journey and seek His amazing presence.

My dear friend, I am here to remind you today that fear is a liar. Darkness can never defeat the light and the light seperates us from a world that is broken. 

The shepherd calls His sheep and they know His voice. The Holy Spirit speaks into our hearts and we know His voice. The still small voice that brings wisdom and guidance into our daily walk. 

Be not afraid, my friend, for the Lord our God is the very light of our salvation. A fortress protecting us from all evil. D

o not let pride mislead you but remain humble before the Lord our God. He will move your mountains and uplift you in the midst of your battle.

Today's thought - 20 September 2025

 

It is amazing how the enemy comes to steal from us. This morning, I completely overslept and for a moment I could feel the enemy encamp against me as he expected me to lay down in defeat. Instead, I submitted to God, and I got up in confidence. 

I can pray for my list all the way to work. The Lord lifted me up above my enemies and I rejoiced in His mercy for blessing me with a little more sleep after a week of many battles. Today, my friend, let us ignore the attacks of the enemy. 

Let’s seek God’s face as I pray that He will not hide His face from us but instead show Himself and not turn away from us. I pray that we will see His mighty hand at work all through this day as our joy comes in the morning and strengthens us. 

God is the God of our salvation and the rock on whom we stand. Nothing can pull us out of His love nor is anything impossible for our God.

Today's thought - 19 September 2025

 

As my storms rise and my challenges increase, I will extol the Lord my God for He is lifting me up from my pit and as the enemy attacks they will not defeat me. 

I may stand in the midst of one battle after the next, yet I will rejoice in my God for I called out to Him and He is healing me. We are all facing challenges and battles. Some is visible and some not so much. My friend, you are not fighting alone. 

Paul wrote in Galatians 6: “Share each other’s burdens, and in this way obey the law of Christ. If you think you are too important to help someone, you are only fooling yourself. You are not that important”. 

You are not alone in your fight today. I pray that God places some of your burden on me as I will help you fight. Stand firm in your faith because we can do all things through Jesus Christ. Be strong, my friend, God is with us, and He will help us overcome all.

I still make mistakes. I get upset and impatient and I say the wrong thing or do the wrong thing. It is important that we stay humble before God and in our daily lives. 

God can teach and guide a humble heart in His ways. God’s ways are mercy and truth, and we must strive to live as Jesus did. He is the blueprint for a humble and grace filled life. 

David writes here “For Your name’s sake pardon my iniquities”. God forgives us our sins not for who we are or what we do, but because of who He is. He is our creator and the Lord of hosts. And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. 

Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

It is weird how our emotions and carnal needs can alter our minds and set us flying down the wrong path. 

This weekend our Pastor said “Put your faith in action”. I love that and that is why we walk by faith and not by sight because faith is the evidence of things not seen. 

So, today let us trust in God and ask Him to lead us in His truth and teach us His paths and show us His ways. He is our salvation and let’s seek Him in everything we do. 

How God moves and works in my life is beyond amazing and how He guides, restores and protect me is beyond my own understanding. Love Him with all your heart, my friend. He will never let you be ashamed and your enemies will never triumph over you.

The enemy hasn’t stopped his continious afflictions on me. My battle rages on. Each one of us are fighting a battle. Just as I am bombarded with memories and negative thoughts the enemy knows your weaknesses also and will continue to press on them to bring you down. 

His main goal is to steer us into sin and pull us away from God. He wants to create doubt in our minds and an unworthy mindset. He wants to give dispair and depression a grip in your day then he will control your emotions. I love this Psalm. 

My enemies are many and they hate me. I am afflicted and desolate and God can see my affliction and my pain. The result in all this is simply: My eyes are toward the Lord. 

He will keep my soul and deliver me for I will not be ashamed because my trust is in the Lord God and His integrity and uprightness will perserve me as I wait patiently on the Lord. Be strong, my friend. The enemy already lost.

What is time?

Time is consistent.

Time is ever present and always there.

Time is powerless and also powerful.

Time can be chased, and time can be lost.

Time can be wasted, and time can be saved.

Time is always moving and it never stops.

Sometimes we have a lot of time and sometimes we do not have enough.

Time can rescue you and time can destroy you.

Time is running out and how do you spend your time. 

Do you cherish your time with people or do you wish the time to go by. 

Do you invest your time or do you waste it. 

When you are at the end of your time how would you look at the time you were graciously blessed with or do wish you had more.

Do you value and use every second gratefully knowing it is a gift, or do you spend it hoping it will last you longer. 

When you look at the time you had today, how much did you waste being angry and upset. 

How much did you waste worrying. 

How much did you waste doing what you were not supposed to do. 

How much did you lose because you could not get out of bed.

How much of your time today was spent wisely and invested in your life that is waiting after this life, when your time here runs out. 

Do you have a treasure in heaven or are you still in debt. 

The minute you realize that every minute wasted is a minute closer to the end, what would you have done differently? 

Then start doing that. 

Invest your time in the Kingdom of God and you will have time in abundance. 

Time is precious and unfortunately most of us only realize this when your time has run out.

Today's thought - 15 September 2025

 

Some days I find myself dwelling in the past looking back at what I went through and the sorrow that lies in that. You get this heavy feeling and you feel sadness enter in your morning. It is mornings like this that you just want to stay in bed and forget the things that fills you mind. 

My dear friend, the enemy is cunning. He knows how to take circumstances and bring back memories by putting thoughts in your head. It can be past experiences or current challenges. He will try to grip your morning in depression and steer you away from God. 

God says here in Jeremiah to get your armour and prepare for war. In verse 27 God says fear not nor be dismayed for He will save us from afar. When we step into God presence and call His name, the enemy will flee for they fear God. 

He will step into your dispair and your pain and steer you to still waters. He will restore your soul and lead you to paths of righteousness. Do not give satan place in your day but stand firm on Jesus. Your joy comes in the morning.

Today's thought - 14 September 2025

 

This is one of my favourite things in the time Jesus was here teaching people. Many came to believe in Him even this centurion. I love his child like faith and his amazing humility. How often do we see the arrogance and pride of people. 

Yesterday I asked what kind of a tree are you and today and want to ask you: How do you stand before God? Are you telling God how to do things? Are you giving God advice? Are you impatient with Him? Do you see His Word as a guideline but your way seems better? My dear friend, look at what this centurion says. 

He did not see himself worthy to come before Jesus nor his home worthy of God’s presence. We have to right size God and understand who He is. How small are we in the universe and how great is God in His creation. 

God created it all by speaking a word and He holds us in His hand each day. When you start to understand your dependance on God and His place in your life, an entire new perspective is formed and we think different, react different, love different and even walk different. 

I pray that God will become more evident in your life and that all your challenges will be like fog before the sun.

Today's thought - 13 September 2025

Personally to me these verses goes hand in hand with identity and authority. A good tree bears good fruit when rooted into good soil and is well watered. In the same we bear fruit if we are rooted in Jesus Christ. 

This means that the old is dead and we are a new creation. Our identity shifted from a worldly one to Jesus Christ. When this happens it means that we now stand in His authority because that is what He gave us due to His resurrection. 

We have a higher authority and we have unlimited power. When you give your life to Jesus you become an ambassador of heaven. It is so important that we think before we talk. We have to glorify God in our thoughts, words and actions. What kind of a tree are you going to be today?  Yes I know your first thoughts was thorn tree. 

My dear friend, let the Holy Spirit give you the right words. Act out of love not anger and bless instead to curse. Be kind and mindful of other but most of all, seek God and His glory every moment.

Today's thought - 12 September 2025

 

In this chapter in Jeremiah Baruch seems to have the wrong idea of God’s prophecy and his worldly things mattered more. What I want to focus your attention on is simply this. God says “What I have built, I will break down”. 

In some cases like myself God needs to break me down until there was nothing left of the person I was. I had to lose everything twice until all that was left is a broken vesel. Then God could rebuild that vesel into a vesel of honor. 

He needed to fully destroy all resistance so that I had nothing left except Him and to Him I had to turn and submit completely. Then God was able to change my entire perspective and changed my direction and finally alligning me with His plans. 

Sometimes we need to humble ourselves before God and block out all the noise of the world and just seek Him. I find so much strength and direction when I am in His presence. So, do not look at your challenges as a problem but change your perspective so that your challenges grows your faith. 

When we are weak, we are strong and I will rejoice in my problems, because it increases my faith.

Today's thought - 11 September 2025

 

There is only one God and Jesus said that the first and most important commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart. What is striking me here today is here Paul writes that God is above all, through all and in all. I make this mistake plenty. 

I miss that fact He is in all and sometimes we get upset or irritated or impatient and we forget that in us dwells the Holy Spirit and we should not grieve Him. How easy it is to pollute our minds and our thoughts and steer us well away on the wrong path. 

The battle field is in the mind, my friend. Therefore it is so important that we take captive our thoughts and allign our thoughts with God’s Word. Steer away from things and people that hampers your faith and keep you from God. Do not let circumstances become your identity. Take a step back and look to the Father. 

Let Him be your starting point and let Him guide you. You are not your weaknesses, mistakes or imperfections the world sees, but you are made righteous by the blood of Jesus and you are a son/daugter of God. That is who you are. Be more than average.

Today's thought - 10 September 2025

 

The psalmist writes here that he became envious of the wicked when he saw their prosperity. For a moment he was taken by the world and its desires. It was too much for him until he enterred into God’s sanctuary. 

Then he realised how the sinners will end and the gift he has in God. Sometimes we are distracted by the success of another and their lifestyle. They seem to have everything and no troubles. So often the appearance of someone does not reflect the emptiness of their hearts. They look nice and happy but deep inside they are lost and broken people. 

They care not for God but only for their own need. My dear friend, the world and those in it may offen look desirable but the result of their way of life is eternal death. Yes, we are battling daily and yes somedays it can overwhelm you. 

God has you in His right hand and He will guide you every day. My body may fail and grow weak but God is the strength of my heart and spirit and my inheritance as a son of God is far more than all the riches of this world. I will draw near to Him and trust Him as I praise Him all the time and I will not be moved by the world but I will stand firm on Jesus my rock.

The people did not listen to Jeremiah as he told them what God commanded them to do. So, they refused to listen to God despite the many warnings and God punished them for their hardenned hearts. 

It is important to understand that the thoughts God has for you are thoughts of good and not evil. Sometimes we are reluctant or disobedient to do the right thing because we are comfortable or just arrogant knowing we are in the wrong. 

God will always direct us or guide us in the way we should go. In the end the descision is yours but so is the consequences of that choice. Luckly God is gracious and will always save us, but it is so important that we follow God’s direction to live righteous and obedient to our Lord, because in this lies a great reward. 

Seek God’s will in everything and in everything you will prosper.

Today's thought - 08 September 2025

 

Jesus said that you must do unto other that which you would want done to you. The way we treat other or talk to or about them reveals what our hearts look like. 

Paul refers here in Epehsians 5 to the new person you become that is no more filled with darkness but is now of light. Light overcomes darkness so in here lies great victory. In essence I want to emphasize two things. 

One be kind to other and treat other with respect and love, no matter who they are and what they did. 

Two, be grateful in all things and for all things. If we cannot be grateful for the small blessings in our lives, how can we receive the big ones. 

Love will always prevail and without love we are nothing. Therefore we should love with no conditions and give without expectation and receive with a grateful heart.

Today's thought - 07 September 2025

 

My dear friend. There is a very hard lesson in this chapter in Jeremiah. God told the people not to go to Egypt, yet their fear of man overwhelmed their obedience to the voice of God and they sufferred the consequences terribly. The safest place to be is in the will of God. 

The last two months I can fully testify to that. Following God’s voice and doing His will has been an unbelievable blessing in my life. My every day is based on the principle of the fish and loaves that fed the many as God blesses my obedience ten fold. 

Do not be afraid to step out of your boat today and walk through the storms in your day and the unstable world to Jesus - the rock. He is your refuge, your tower of strength, your fortress of safety and your hope. We walk by faith and in our hope of the impossible lies great faith and victory. 

I believe that God will move your mountains and open the doors that has been shut to you. Take it all to Him in prayer and listen to His voice. The cross stands as your victory already given. Have faith, be bold and go.

Today's thought - 06 September 2025

 

My dear friend, Paul writes something really important here. He says be angry and do not sin. Now anger can be a massive challenge. I find it really difficult sometimes but it is amazing how the Holy Spirit brings peace even in anger. 

There are many mornings on my way to work where I just want to walk up to a driver and tell him God’s grace is a little more today and he should be really grateful. People can be one of my greatest battles in anger since I work hard and a person who feels the opposite seem to bring up feelings that imitates anger. 

Jesus said you must love your neighbour as yourself. This has been life changing. I still get upset but instead of wording my grievance to the person in question, I talk to the Holy Spirit and that is just amazing. Paul continuous to say nor give place to the devil. When we get angry we tend to say things that we should not or we judge. 

Be careful for that trap my friend. Instead take your issue to God in prayer and let Him deal with it. It really works.

Today's thought - 05 September 2025

 

I love this and it is so for me today. We must never forget or neglect the fact that we are children of God. When I was in school people would often refer to us as the Ruthven’s or Hannes Ruthven’s son. My identity in our community was linked to my father. 

In the same way our identity is linked to God our Father. This scripture says it so nice - be imitators of God. In this we will be identified as children of God and in the same way Jesus showed love we should also show love and kindness to everyone. 

Jesus says in Luke 6 that you must love your enemy. Give to other not expecting anything in return then your reward will be great. This simple thing can be so hard for some. When Jesus sets you free this world will have no value and you will think different about life and material things. Be a sweet healing fragrance to everyone you meet today and see how God works. 

Be strong my friend and remember we worship the creator of heaven and earth. Not a mickey mouse god but the Lord of hosts. Have an awesome day.

Today's thought - 04 September 2025

 

I wrote to you before of the importance of prayer and worship. Here Jesus went up into the mountain and prayed. He prayed all night. 

Now personally I am humbled by this verse. The rest of Luke 6 makes you more humble, but what I wish to highlight to you is that Jesus (the Son of God) did not just pray a quick thank you and bless me prayer. He spend all night in prayer and we see this on more than one occasion that Jesus spend a lot of time in prayer. 

The Holy Spirit simply puts it like this: If you commit your life to God and seek the kingdom of God you will find it on your knees before His throne. This is where you fight your battles, gain your strength and find your answers. It is by humbling yourself before God and seeking His will in prayer. 

My dear friend, I can not emphazise enough how prayer has changed my life thus I urge you to spend more time with God. Then all will fall into place.

Today's thought - 03 September 2025

 

Are you tired today? Do you feel the weight of this world crush you as the sun rises over another day? Does it feel as if you have no strength and life is drained out of you? 

The battles we face are as real as the air we breathe and the enemy is relentless and always on the lookout for a gap or a place where he can get to you. Today the promise that lies so well hidden yet so obvious in scripture is that through Jesus each one of us has been given a measure of supernatural grace according to our circumstances and our calling. 

Now in us lives our perfect Father that combined with His grace gives us more power than we can comprehend. The Word here in the passion translation uses the word generously. This means God did not give you just enough to make it through the day, no He gave in abundance so that you can be stronger and victorious in your struggles. 

Do not allow the enemy to steal your grace with lies but let him shiver at the might of our Father as we step into this promise and stand on the foundation of Jesus Christ. Be strong and courageous, my dear friend. 

God is with you - ALWAYS.

Today's thought - 02 September 2025

 

Today I am writing to a friend of mine. We spoke over the weekend and I realised that she is still missing the point and that God is not as much a reality as a guideline currently in her life. It seems as if many of us do the same. 

We give our lives to Christ but with a little bit of false ideas from the enemy we fall back into our old self and we desire or need what we should not. We fall back into an idea that is not from God. The Holy Spirit reminds me of this today. 

To be carnally minded is death. To desire the needs and pleasures of the world is against God and leads to death - eternal death. Aligning our life and thoughts and desires with the Word is life and life in abundance. My life is not mine anymore but belongs to Jesus. 

He paid a massive price for my salvation and freedom. I am a son of God and this world has nothing I need nor desire. My dear friend it is so important that we desire and live a life aligned with God. Store your treasures in heaven and seek God in every moment. It is so worth it.

Obedience to God’s Word is not a guideline but a non negotiable requirement. This chapter in Jeremiah is very intresting as the people went to him to ask what is God’s will and even after hearing it they continued on with their own plans, hence the final verse stating that they will surly die. 

Intresting fact is that so many Christians does exactly that. In need they seek God’s will and when all is well they return to their own Egypt. Paul says it so well in Romans 8 that to live in your own(carnal) needs is death and against God’s will for you. 

So, do not choose your own ideas over God’s plan because there lies a great reward in living a life of obedience to God. Yes, I know it is not easy and requires faith, hope and patience. But trust me as I say this. It is worth every second you wait on God and trust His plans and His will even if it feels so right for you, stay the coarse and follow God’s direction. 

It will save you much pain and time.

Today's thought - 31 August 2025

 

Today I want to remind us that there is no more condemnation against us because Jesus came to set the captives free. So the whole first transgression of Adam that brougth God’s judgement on us is broken through Jesus that bought both justification and sanctification by His sacrifice.

Now the Holy Spirit brings an entire new spiritual vitality that delivers us from the principle if sin. The law exposed sin but could not deliver us from it due to man’s sinful  nature. Jesus became like us in all areas except for sin  to bear its guild as a sacrifice to God condeming sin and setting us free. 

You are free to live by the dynamic power of the Holy Spirit making you a new person in Jesus that is cleansed by His blood. The enemy has nothing on you and his power is detroyed. Come with me as we stand on the victory of Jesus over sin and satan and take on this day fearless and filled by the Holy Spirit. 

In you lives and all powerfull God who created all by speakig a Word. He will break all bondage and He will lift you up and He will give you ALL you need.

My dear friend. There is a lot in this scripture today but I wish to highlight three parts. One you are predestined to be conformed to the image of Jesus. 

This making Him the first and we follow in that lineage. This means that you are called, justified and glorified through Jesus. Second if God is for you, who can be against you. If it is God’s calling and His wil, who can stop it. 

And thirdly but surely will need time to process, but in essence God will with Jesus give you all things. Now in all things means in all things. God will give you the strength, abillity, wisdom, guidance, knowledge, help, faith, hope, desire, power and will to do and receive all things. 

Not material (yet He will give you what you need) but mainly spiritual so that you can become the person He saw when He created you. You are more than you see.

Salvation in the midst of battles

I am in total awe of the wonderful and amazing God we worship. Yes, I have many battles and challenges and yes, I make mistakes all the time, but the way the Holy Spirit comes into my life and how He works with me is just amazing.

We have a prayer group at work and God is working so amazingly in our lives as He touches people around us. It is in the small things that I see His majestic power moves and eventually those small things will become huge miracles.

It is a blessing and probably the thing I am most grateful for is to be used by God and that He trusts me with doing things for His kingdom.

I tell you that nothing we do for God is ever wasted, from a friendly smile to a prayer when needed, it is all so worth it.

I just love Romans 8 and here Paul writes – “ And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.”

All things work for good and I can testify to that, because I see it everyday as God continues to change my life and to draw me closer to Him.

Your prayer time every day is so vital to your growth, do not neglect that. God is amazing and I pray that He will do the same in your life.

Good day son and daughter of God the most high. Today God is with you and He knows your battles and He knows what you face. He sees all you go through.

God says that you must not be afraid nor be discouraged no matter the size of your storm, but He goes ahead of you and He will not fail you nor abandon you. He will fight for you and you will prevail. 

My prayer for you is simple this: I pray that in this day you will stand firm on Jesus your foundation and His love and strength will flow through you. He is for you and I pray that you will see how He goes ahead. You will be fine and you have already won. In Jesus name.

Yesterday the Holy Spirit reminded me that as Jesus became the first Son and in the cross He is joined with us all as we all have to die to the old life to step into the new life with Jesus as sons and daugters of God. 

This means that in repentance and salvation and through baptism we become sons and daugters of God our Father. This brings a new dimension in understanding our calling, because just as Jesus did we must take up our cross and step into our calling. 

We become one as we step into harmony becoming one body and one spirit in our destiny as sons and daughters of God.  Now with this we have a  numerous amount of promises in God’s Word. Today I pray that you will find refuge in the promise that you are a son/daughter of the most high God. 

That you will be filled with joy and peace knowing your new heritage and that the power of God will flow through your life. Have an awesome day, my friend.

I have this deep desire to draw nearer and closer to God. Deep in our hearts, our souls long and desire more of God. Living a life with an intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit is my ultimate goal, yet so many times I seem to miss the goal and slip into my default living. 

God says blessed are the man whose strenth is found in God and who knows how to draw nearer to God. I do not think we will truly comprehend the power that lies in a close intimate relationship with God. 

My dear friend, my prayer for you today is simply this: I pray that you will have a supernatural encounter with God today and that your strenth will be renewed and that you will run and not grow weary and walk and not be faint. I pray that you will be filled with His presence and that your day will be a day filled with success.

To be honest I have given God so much praise for the trials and challenges I have gone through the past few years. It has taken my faith to a comlete new level my relationship with the Holy Spirit has grown so much. By faith we walk daily knowing that God is a God who hears our prayers and answers in His time. 

I had and still have to go through many challenges as I need to grow more each day. I also know that there is still more and greater challenges that awaits me, but I have this incredible peace about it, because there is nothing this world has to offer me. All I want and need is in Jesus Christ. 

Without faith it is impossible to please God. For us that go before God it is imperrative that we believe He is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Therefore I commit my life fully to God and take up my cross with the Lord Jesus so that I can be molded into the man God saw when He created me. 

My dear friend, a life lived for God is the ultimate display of our faith and the reward is greater than what we expect. Do not always seek the reward here but wait for what lies in heaven with our amazing God. Be of good cheer for our God is a consuming fire and loving Father. Have an awesome day.

While as believers Jesus said we must be as harmless as doves but He also stated that we should be as wise as serpents. Many times people will enter into your lives under the guise of friendship, yet their hearts are dark and deceitful. 

Many times people will agree with you while being in your presence but when you are not they turn against you. It is so important that we have decernment in our dealings with others, especially with those in the world. 

My dear friend, guard your heart and listen to the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  Let only good and uplifting words come from you. Never give the enemy a doorway into your life but be mindful of all you see, hear and say. Have an awesome day.

My dear friend, better is one day in God’s presence than a thousand elsewhere. The best this world has to offer does not compare to a mere moment with God. 

He is brighter than the sunrise as He wraps around you shielding you from all evil. His generous gifts of grace and glory will fill your life and He will provide in all your needs so you will lack nothing. 

God is our provider and He knows what you need and He knows your burdens. Euphoria is a feeling or a state of intense excitement and happiness. Put your trust in God today and let the Holy Spirit fill you with His peace and wisdom. 

God will bring rain where there is a desert and He will make a way where there is none. He is the God of heavens armies and your place of refuge. No mountain is to high and no problem to great for His grace.

True content lies in Jesus Christ. He is the shepard and the sheep knows His voice. My dear friend, we serve an awesome and amazing God. 

This morning I pray over you my friend. I pray that Jesus will fill all areas of your life and bless you with miraculous life giving peace. I pray that you will be blessed with green pastures and still waters and that blessings will overflow in you as streams of life flows from you. 

I pray for full restoration and healing and that God will restore all that the devil stole from you. May your path be one of righteousness and may God be blessed through your life and everything you do. In the mighty name of Jesus.

Consider the amazing things done by God in creation. By a mere word the entire creation was formed in all its beauty. He preserves, govern and direct everything according to His will. Yet His greatest work is delivering those imprisoned by sin and misery to Himself. 

God’s amazing work of redemtion is not meant to be celebrated by a few but to be broadcasted among all nations so that all creation can be filled with His praise. My dear friend, do not skip your time with God nor the opportunity to share His gospel.

Even in their destruction God blessed the people with much fruit. God offered blessings to His people if they submitted to the Babylonians. 

Therefore in the midst of our battles God’s judgements are mingled with mercy calling sinners to submit to His discipline and instruction. My dear friend we serve a loving and gracefilled God that seeks no ones destruction but the salvation of all. 

How much longer do people live in rebellion against God? It is important that we understand that even trials and challenges are for our growth in our faith. No mountain is too high nor is any problem beyond God. 

What is important is how we face these challenges and how we seek God in all of our troubles so that we can hear His voice and follow His guiding hand. There are much fruit awaiting you in your struggles. Fruit that will uplift you as well as fruit that will uplift other. 

Be kind, patient and love one another. God will make a way where there is none. Have an awesome day.

Today's thought - 19 August 2025

 

I do not know how you experience your day to day life as we journey on. I have found that the minute I relax in my fight and in my walk with God, the enemy moves in and I always seem to make a mistake. Some days I just don’t get it. 

You know we work so hard to do everything right and in a simple scenario of watching the wrong program, saying the wrong word, listening to a bad conversation opens a doorway for the enemy and he slowly works his way up to the point where we fall. 

The Holy Spirit places Ephesians 4 on my heart again and as Paul says I beseech (urge) you to walk worthy of the vocation (suitability) by which we are called. Therefore throw away the old sinful nature and the former life and allow the Spirit to renew our thoughts and attitudes that we can truly be righteous and holy as He who dwells within us. 

Thus not grieving the Holy Spirit but living in full unity. My friend, let us humble ourselves before our God knowing we cannot do this on our own but that we need the guidance and grace of God. Submit fully to His voice and guidance, then things will change.

As the weeks pass and the year slowly creeps to an end we have more days of exhaustion and frustration. People get agitated and irritated easier. 

This morning we come before the amazing God. The Lord of hosts and we ask that He replaces our grief with gladness and delight as we seek Him. 

Let our children and those around us be amazed by God’s wonders as we work to bring glory to Him. I pray that God will bless your hands today so that you will have success in all you do. I pray His grace and power over you and I pray His blessings over you.
