A reminder
for today
But
my servant Caleb has a different attitude than the others have. He has remained
loyal to me, so I will bring him into the land he explored. His descendants
will possess their full share of that land. (Numbers 14:24)
Different, don’t you want to be different? Once again the
Israelites have turned away from God and in this they angered God. So instead
of entering the Promised Land, God punishes their faithlessness by letting them
wonder in the wilderness for forty years. You see God wanted to destroy them
there and then, but Moses interceded for them and pleaded with the Lord to
spare them, yet the Lord was tired of their ways. God said that none of them
will enter the Promised Land. Only their children will see it and with the
exception of Caleb and Joshua who did not turn their backs against the Lord but
remained faithful.
My dear friend, instead of fearing the giants and losing
faith, Joshua and Caleb stood up and argued with the Israelite leaders. They
were different. They did not follow the direction of those with little faith,
but instead they knew who God is and trusted Him like they should, knowing God
will come through for them as He promised.
God will not leave you or forget you. He is and will
always deliver you from whatever it is you may face. Come with me today as we
will be different and not follow the direction of the lost, but instead follow the
direction of God. Let’s stand out and be different as we live our lives
trusting our Lord with unbroken faith and diligence.
