Today Reminder – 19 July 2016

 A reminder for today
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. And do everything with love. (1 Corinthians 16:13-14)

Pauls words are so powerful, yet so difficult for us to do. When the waves of our storms hit we fail to be courageous and we become weak. We then turn from love and treat people different. We become the failure instead of defeating it. We fall back into depression and we allow darkness into our lives. How easy is it for the enemy to bring us down and destroy us?

Paul says: “Be on guard”. To be on guard is to be vigilant and focussed and identify possible problems that could bring us down and handle it before it becomes your downfall.

Then he says that you must stand firm in the faith. Faith is what separate us from the norm. it is what makes us not average and defines us as we travel our journey. Faith is what we believe and how we believe. Faith is to trust the Lord and follow His voice regardless. Faith makes us stronger.

Be courageous. To be courageous is to be not deterred by danger or pain. To be brave. We must not allow the enemy to get to us instead we should be brave against his attacks and stand our ground. We must face the storm and walk by faith.

Be strong. To be strong is to be able to things that other might fond difficult. God says that with Him in us all things are possible and the impossible will look easy when you see it. Strong makes you unmovable like a tree planted in solid ground. Your foundation is God and your strength is His strength that flows through you. You are a super hero.

And do everything with love. Well what can we say more. Love defeats all the power of the enemy. Love overcomes all and love understands all. Love sees clearly and love fills all emptiness. Love is the most powerful of all and without love we have nothing.

Lord, let us stand firm today in our faith. Help us to be on guard and makes us strong and courageous. Fill us with your love and lead us away from temptation. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 18 July 2016

 A reminder for today
But whatever I am now, it is all because God poured out his special favour on me—and not without results. For I have worked harder than any of the other apostles; yet it was not I but God who was working through me by his grace. So it makes no difference whether I preach or they preach, for we all preach the same message you have already believed. (1 Corinthians 15:10-11)

How are you, my friend? I do hope you had a blessed weekend and that you are well rested for the week ahead. Rest is very important for your body and you should take good care of your temple. To get some rest is a good thing. It revitalises you and helps to fight those unwanted colds.

One of the greatest lies the enemy wants you to believe is that you are not worthy. You are not good enough and you are not a good follower of Jesus Christ so you are not worthy to spread the gospel. This is nonsense. Paul says that he is what he is because of God’s special favour. He was able to do what he did by grace. This is the same grace that we live by and the same favour God will show all of us. It makes no difference whether you have made every mistake in the book or if you lived a perfect life. The message we preach is the same. It is all about the love God has for us and miracle that Jesus did on the cross when He defeated death and took with Him all our sins. So there is no reason why you should ever feel unworthy to tell other about Jesus and the wonder of His love. The freedom that we have in Him and the gift of life that we get from Him.

So today I want you to put aside your fears and spread the Gospel with every chance you get. Even if you give a smile to someone or help a poor person or whether you do something for someone. Do it with Jesus on your lips and the Holy Spirit in your heart. Let us lead the sheep to the shepherd and break the chains of the enemy on other. Life free, my friend.

Lord, let us spread your Word today and help other to come back to you and break with their worldly habits. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 15 July 2016

 A reminder for today
But one who prophesies strengthens others, encourages them, and comforts them. A person who speaks in tongues is strengthened personally, but one who speaks a word of prophecy strengthens the entire church. (1 Corinthians 14:3-4)

It is Friday, again. Wow time is really flying at the moment. I am prepping to compete and suddenly there is only two weeks left before our competition. As we practised yesterday I realised again that the Spirit of God that dwells in us empowers us with special abilities. Each one of us is created uniquely, but in us dwell the same God and the same Spirit. Just as the Spirit encourages us we should encourage other. When I was at my coach last night I could see that encouragement makes a huge difference in life. I felt that I am not ready for this completion but a good remark and encouragement placed me back into the race and more determined to be better.

Paul compares the ability to speak in tongues against the ability to prophesise. Paul says here that we should all desire the ability to speak a word of prophecy, because it encourages and comforts. The ability to prophesise will strengthen more people at once and keep their hearts aligned with God.

So today we must desire the ability to prophesise and use it to help other. You are not alone my friend and therefore your fight is not a weak one, but one strengthened by all our prayers. Let us encourage other by listening to God and seeking the ability to prophesise. I feel that the Lord wants me to say to you that you should not quit the fight and give up. God says that we are able to do anything when He is with us. So your challenges will look small when God is with you, because in comparison to Him any problem is tiny. So keep your eyes on Him and walk with confidence, because you are stronger with Him and nothing will bring you down. God will catch you when you fall so do not be afraid to leap.

Lord, we pray that you will bless us with the ability to prophesise so that we will be an encouragement to other. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
