Today's thought - 19 February 2026

I took this scripture from the Passion translation which sometimes just has an awesome way to bring life into the Word. Read it, maybe read it again. The Bible says in Psalm 139 “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!” 

I know your challenges are bigger than what I can understand and that you battle with them daily. You may think that God is not listening or He is not interested in your problems. You condemn yourself thinking that maybe you are not that important and that your life is not worth saving. You may even consider that there is no hope and that you are worthless. Sometimes in your car or wherever you find yourself alone you break into pieces and you are angry. You feel your questions seem to have no answers and above all those close to you feels so far. 

You begin to question. Is this season or this wilderness ever going to stop. Did God abandon me. And you begin to stand in agreement that just maybe you are not good enough or loved enough or even important enough and that the words you read are for other people. My friend, this morning the God who gave His only Son for you so that your past, your mistakes, you faults and your hurt can be removed, is calling you by your name. He is saying to you that His love is deeper and more far reaching than we can comprehend. 

Endless and beyond measurement that surpasses our own understanding. This morning, I pray that this amazing and extravagant love will pour into you and overflow in you with the fullness of God. So, that the peace of our Lord Jesus will remove all fear, all pain, all worry, all guilt, all lies, all mistakes and all that burdens you. 

As you seek more of our Lord, I pray that He will reveal to you the plans He has for you and that you will be reminded that this life is just a moment. It is the life after this that we so desire and even if it means going through unthinkable pain, that you will remain strong and courageous seeking Him above all else. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
