Today's thought - 24 February 2026

 

The yoke of sin consumes the world around us. How many of our fellow colleagues or friends are trapped in sin and we can see the devastating effect it has on their lives and their outlook on the world. We have spoken before on the images we as people have. The perceived image as how the world sees us, the projected image as how we want the world to see us and then there is the actual image, and this is the very one that will stand before God on judgement.

 Many will be professing Christians but, in their hearts, they lived a selfish, vindictive and even abusive life and as God said before. Everything will be revealed on that day, and we will basically stand exposed as Adam and Eve was when they ate the forbidden fruit. It is interesting to think that they (Adam and Eve) literally walked in the presence of God and still was deceived by the serpent. How many people today are still deceived by the same serpent living a life that they argue as acceptable to the word, yet it completely contradicts that what Jesus taught. I guess that is why God places this scripture in my heart to tell me not to fear man (afraid you will offend someone) but to fear God. 

So, if we wish to boast then let us boast as Paul did in everything we do we live as followers of Jesus not as knowables (my word for today) of Jesus. To know that God demonstrated unfailing love and brings justice and righteousness to the world. Some will see God’s judgement on their lives here on earth and some will see it on the day Jesus returns. So, do not be afraid to stand for what is right as God puts it in your heart but out of love fight for those around you so that their judgement will not be when it is too late. 

Speak truth and life over other and remind people of the things they do wrong and if you offend someone, well Jesus said if your eye makes you sin, then remove it for it is better to go through life with one eye then to end op in the pit of fire for eternity.
