I want to remind you today that we can truly move mountains in faith. Paul writes in Hebrews 11 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Faith provides the substance (Greek: hupostasis - realism, essence, or assurance) to things that are currently only hoped for. It acts as the evidence (or proof) for things that are not visible in the natural world. Therefore, the emphasis lies in trust and trust in what we ask and pray for.
That is why Jesus simply said it is due to your lack (firmly relying on or trust) that they could not cast out the demon. It is as Jesus explained in Mark 11 “Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” It is in this childlike faith that we can possess the mountain and move the mountain. The enemy as we know walks around like a roaring lion ready to devour everything. He literally walks around looking and seeking ways to destroy your faith.
When there is but a mere crack in your defence, he will jump on it and take whatever he can. So, do not give him the opportunity but remind him that his place is under your feat as you are given the authority to trample snakes and scorpions. Jesus requires a mustard seed faith from us and in that all He needs is your trust and hope and faith in what He is doing and going to do. See it, believe it and let Him move your mountains. I pray that the Holy Spirit will fill you by “giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases God” and to stand firm in your faith.
Have an awesome day, my friend.
