Today's thought - 28 February 2026

I am not much of a hunter and never really saw the hype in it, yet I am proficient with a rifle, and I would probably make a better sniper than a hunter because the poor animal did nothing wrong (unless for food) but humans do terrible and wicked things. Sin came into this world and took God’s perfect creation and destroyed it.

From then on man has done more and more terrible things and child trafficking is something that lies deep in my heart, hence the sniper comment. God shows me Israels torment in a foreign land here in Psalm 137, nut in essence reminds me that vengeance is His and Jesus made it clear that we should love those who persecute and hate us, but He also gave us wisdom and courage to stand up for what is right and to allow justice to prevail, but not to take matters in our own hands.

This has been a struggle in my heart as we continue to battle for my daughter and the arrogance that lies in the way the entire matter was and is handled by the other party. Finding peace and living in forgiveness is not always easy, but the peace that God gives me daily and I say daily because the enemy continues to taunt me, is amazing.

So, you might find yourself beside the rivers of Babylon today and you might have lost your song, but David writes in Psalm 40 “I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a new song in my mouth - Praise to our God; Many will see it and fear and will trust in the Lord.”

Have an awesome day, my friend.
