Today Reminder – 14 October 2014 (Day 10 – Faith)

A reminder for today

Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. (1 Corinthians 16:13)

Two farmers prayed to God for rain, but only one went and prepared his fields. Which one had faith and trust in God? How often do we ask God for help and we lack the faith to carry on and prepare for rain. This verse is so powerful – Come my friend, be on your guard. Stand firm in the faith and be courageous and strong. We are about to see the rain as God will pour it over us. God made a promise that He will reward those who stand firm in their faith. Stand up with me as we go out today and prepare our fields for the rain. God can open doors and He can shut doors. He is about to open doors in our lives that will make us realise even more how great His love for us is.

Nothing is impossible for God so do not underestimate His ability to change your life.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 13 October 2014 (Day 9 – Faith)

A reminder for today

In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. (Ephesians 6:16)

Our faith is the one thing that will keep us standing when the war rages on around us. The Roman military had an inventive and very effective tactic that made use of their large shields. When enemies would begin firing arrows and other projectiles at the army, the soldiers would close ranks into a rectangular array—called the testudo, or "tortoise," formation—and those on the outside would use their shields to create a wall around the perimeter. Then those in the middle would raise their shields over their heads to protect everyone from airborne missiles. The result was a formidable human tank that could be stopped only through a tremendous effort.

When the Roman army joined its shields together, it became an almost unstoppable force. And if we in God's Church join our shields—that is, strengthen each other with our faith, building up and serving within the Body as we are able—we will become an unstoppable force able to take on any challenge.

We must remember as we fight that this is not simply our battle. This is the battle of all our brethren, both near and around the world. And if we are to win, it will only be once we put our faith in God and stand side by side, contending earnestly and as one for "our common salvation...the faith which was once for all delivered to the saints" (Jude 1:3).

Have faith and stand with me as we fight forgetting what lies behind us and focussing on what lies ahead of us.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 10 October 2014 (Day 8 – Faith)

A reminder for today

I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your heart as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen. (Ephesians 3:14-21)

I pray this over you my friend so that your store houses of faith will overflow today as you walk in His infinite love and accomplish the impossible with His unlimited power and grace. May your day be one filled with amazement at the way your faith will astound those around you.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 09 October 2014 (Day 7 – Faith)

A reminder for today

But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. "Save me, Lord!" he shouted. Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. "You have so little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt me?" (Matthew 14:30-31)

Our faith is constantly under fire and with that we are continuously bombarded with insecurities and feelings of failure. We see our mistakes and we are reminded by the enemy that we are not worthy or that we are living a lie. I guess if you were living with me you would ask the same questions, because just like you I fall and make mistakes. I get angry and irritated and lately I would question my role as God’s ambassador in a world that can’t wait to see me fall. I write to you about living a life that reflects Jesus, yet I struggle to live that life. So the next thing is that I would question my way of life and my life as a follower of Jesus Christ when I feel He is not so clearly visible in the way I live. And that is exactly where I found myself this morning. Am I good enough?

Peter looked at the waves and he was terrified. We look at our mistakes and we are terrified. We struggle with our thoughts and our purpose and we call out “Save me Lord!” My dear friend, Jesus is looking at us today as He stretched out His hand to lift us up out of our pit of despair. “You have so little faith," Jesus said. "Why did you doubt me?"

Stop doubting my friend and let us trust Him. Our ways are imperfect, but His ways is perfect. Our imperfections are already forgiven and our mistakes died on that cross. Do not let your fear steal your reward in Jesus. I look up at Him as He pulls me out of the water and I realise that it is not me writing to you, but His Holy Spirit. I may be imperfect, but He is perfect and it is not my words but the words of the Holy Spirit. And most importantly; I write as much for me as I am writing for you. You are loved beyond understanding and no mistake you make will steal you from His forgiveness. Stand up in faith and trust Him, for He knows better than we do.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 08 October 2014 (Day 6 – Faith)

A reminder for today

And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him. (Hebrews 11:6)

Faith is more than just believing. Faith to me is that “I am all in, over the moon, jump without fear, leap to the impossible and world cup fever” type of feeling. God wants us to believe without fear or restrictions. He wants us to see the world as it is and to stretch our imagination to heaven as the result of our faith. God wants us to seek Him and desire time with Him. He wants us to trust Him and to trust His guidance. He wants us to take that leap and jump to a new level of faith in Him.

Come my friend and let us live a life that reflects God exists and not a life that hides Him from other. It is by our faith that we are different and by our faith that we walk. It is within our faith that we see the light and in our faith we will show that light to those who does not see. Come and let us sincerely seek God, for He will reward us for our faith.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
