Today Reminder – 11 July 2016

 A reminder for today
If you think you are standing strong, be careful not to fall. The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure. (1 Corinthians 10:12-13)

This weekend I took the boys to go and watch the new Ice Age movie. We decided to watch it in IMAX and what an experience. The boys loved it, but what made me wonder a bit was how they made up the creation of the universe and it brought me back to life and the temptations we face each day. I must admit that I have fallen many times and each time it is hard to get up again, but luckily the Lord was there each time to pick me up and clean me and bring me back to my journey.

These verses are so awesome and it made me wonder why I allowed temptations to make me fall in the past. Every day we face a number of obstacles and each one is designed by the enemy to make us stumble and fall. But God is faithful and He will not allow the temptations in our lives to be more than what we can stand. When you are confronted with temptation listen to the Lord and let Him show you a way out so that you can endure.

So today I want you to stand firm against all temptations and allow the Lord to lead you away from them.

Lord, stand with us as we go into another day filled with challenges. Give us the strength to endure and the courage to stand against all that will bring us down. Lead us away from temptation and fill us with your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 08 July 2016

 A reminder for today
Don't you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win! All athletes are disciplined in their training. They do it to win a prize that will fade away, but we do it for an eternal prize. (1 Corinthians 9:24-25)

We are going to a funeral today and it made me think once again about life and how short it is. I realised again that time goes by so quickly and before you know it your life has passed. Therefore, I believe that we should treasure every moment and every relationship and every friendship. We should take more time to spend with God and in His presence and we should live with joy and freedom just like the Lord wants us to be. We should understand and give more and we should take time and listen to other. Spend more time with friends and family and seek the Lord every day.

It is a race as Paul describes it here and we should run the race of life with determination and focus to win the prize and spend eternity with the Lord. We should open our hearts and minds to His Word and meditate more on the wisdom of the Word of God.

So today I want you to listen and give more of your time to God. Call your friends and family and see them more often. Social media has stolen our intimate relationships and we should protest against that and defeat the enemy in his mission to make us stand alone. We should be with the people in our lives and we should stand by them through every challenge motivating and helping.

Lord, today I pray for all the people in our lives. I pray that you will forge new friendships and mend broken ones. I pray that you will bless current relationships and fill our hearts with your love towards those that loves us so much. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 07 July 2016

 A reminder for today
Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn't really know very much. But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes. (1 Corinthians 8:2-3)

There are always that one guy that knows everything and has an opinion on every possible thing. To themselves they do not see their ignorance and self-idolizing. Who can know everything and who has all the answers? There is no one on this earth that has all the answers and anyone that claims they do is misguided by their own egos.

Only God knows past and present and future. God exists in realm outside the one we live in and He is confined by our time limitations. So God knows all and everything and He is the only one that can guide us in the correct direction and lead us onto the path we are destined to be on.

So do not listen to the wise crack in the office, but let your ears follow God’s voice and seek Him in all you are doing. He will show you the way towards His light and towards your destiny. Each one of us has a purpose and each purpose is specifically designed for that individual. To reach your full potential in God’s kingdom you need to follow Him carefully. Use His Word as a reference and often God uses people to that have gotten a Word from Him to lead us onto our next challenge. God will always find a way to communicate His plans to you. You must just be open to Him.

Lord, I pray that we will hear your voice clearly today and follow your guidance. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
