Today Reminder – 12 May 2017

A reminder for today
If you claim to be religious but don't control your tongue, you are fooling yourself, and your religion is worthless. Pure and genuine religion in the sight of God the Father means caring for orphans and widows in their distress and refusing to let the world corrupt you. (James 1:26-27)

It is Friday and what a week. This week has been one of those that I do not want to remember. We are moving our product into a new environment and it is a little stressful. I must admit it keeps me awake at night. I love the song ”Oceans” from Hillsong and in the midst of our storms it so important that we remember “Your grace abounds in deepest waters, Your sovereign hand Will be my guide, Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me, You've never failed and You won't start now”

What is religion other than how we live. It is the faith that we have and the love we have for other. I love these verses in James 1 where he says that we must control our tongues. It is easy to fix something you broke, but words cannot be reversed. Words can cut deeper than any sword and the scars of words can take a long time to heal. There is power in what we say and what we pray. If you speak life over other they will prosper. Negative thoughts impact us and the people around us. So, James reminds us that we must be pure and genuine, caring for other and refusing to let this world corrupt us. It is unbelievable how people are corrupted by their worldly desires.

Therefore, come with me today and through this weekend as we celebrate our mothers on mother’s day, but mostly let us celebrate the grace of God and live genuine religious lives. Let our lives impact on our communities and let us bring hope and a positive vibe wherever we go. Jesus lives and in Him we have life. Now that is reason to be joyful.

Lord, please place a guard in front of our mouths so that we will only speak what is positive and uplifting to other. Let us be pure in our religion and save us from the corruption of this world so that we will desire you and more of you. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 11 May 2017

A reminder for today
So don't be misled, my dear brothers and sisters. Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow. (James 1:16-17)

There are many pitfalls in today’s world and as a Christian we face many challenges. We live in a world where the obvious is questioned and people want to be gods. This is an age-old sin that destroys good people. People will do anything to mislead us and pull us down. Those that are lost will find anything that they can use to discredit our faith and make a mockery of our God. God never changes, it is man that tries and change God. If we are not happy with what God wants we turn against Him. So many have fallen for the enemy’s lies and turned away from God, because of their worldly desires. Everything comes from God. God created the heavens and the earth and He created you and me in His image. That is why everything in you points to an intelligent designer. Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. (Psalm 139.14)

Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see (Hebrews 11:1). Faith is what separates us from the unbelievers. Faith is what we have in what the lost cannot see. I know that God exists, I see it in my life and in the world that He created. I have no doubt and I believe in Jesus more and more each day. The very story of Jesus resurrection started mere days after His death and that is impossible to be a legend. Legends take years to formulate. The disciples and hundreds of other people were eye witnesses to the resurrection of Jesus. These were fear filled men that suddenly turned into fearless men that died without denying the resurrection of Jesus. What makes a man believe so badly if he did not see it with his own eyes? The fact that historical documents tells of the death of Jesus and that His enemies did not look for His body, they made up stories points clearly to His resurrection.

Do not be misled by people who seek only their own glory. Do not allow the enemy for hamper your faith. Stand firm in our faith and trust God. He has a plan with all and with your faith you can change the hearts of those that seek your destruction. Jesus gave His life for me, so I gladly give my life for Him and for you, my friend.

Lord, do not led the enemy bring doubt into our lives. Fill us once more with your Holy Spirit and give us the wisdom and strength we need to face the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 10 May 2017

A reminder for today
Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. (James 1:2-4)

James certainly have a way of making you feel better. It is only Wednesday and I can feel how the enemy is using everything in his power to bring me down. In the midst of all of this I can feel my faith is getting stronger. I feel that I am moving closer to God, because He is the strength in my weakness and I will rejoice in my challenges for in them I will glorify Jesus. My race is still a long race and I know I am not even close to where I will be fully developed, but I will remain determined to succeed.

When you are faced with troubles and I assume that is more often now, especially when you are a Christian. You can just look at the news and see how we are persecuted and hated all over the world. Do not let the world bring fear into your heart and do not allow these bad people to create distance between you and the Lord. Jesus was persecuted and killed, why will they leave us alone. The enemy is relentless and he will not stop. The only problem with his tactics is that he is trying to fight a battle he already lost. That is why I will stand amidst all the turmoil and hatred and I will rejoice, for I know Jesus died for my sins and He defeated death. I know that you and I will be with Him in eternity and that is something to be very joyful about.

My dear friend, do not worry about the world and the troubles we face each day. Keep your eyes on Jesus and stay the course. When our faith is tested, we grow in faith, so let it grow.

Lord, I long for your return and I pray that you strengthen us against all the attacks of the enemy and lead us safely through this day. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers
