Today Reminder - 24 October 2012 (Listen)

A reminder for today
So Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded him. (Genesis 6:22)

Listen – hear my voice and follow my directions says the Lord.

I love this scripture that: “Noah did everything exactly as God had commanded”. There is a huge lesson in this for us. Had Noah not listened to God he would have been in serious trouble. There would not have been a safe place for him and his family if he did not build the ark. Funny thing is that the people of that time laughed at Noah when he began construction on this huge project and I guess even when it started to rain, the people must’ve still laughed at him. Things changed a bit when the water started to rise and floods came in.

In our lives we are often frowned upon and even mocked for being Christ followers, yet in the end I imagine it will be much like in Noah’s day. People will still mock and laugh and as the end of time comes they will realize how wrong they have been, but then it will be too late.

My dear friend, to follow God and to listen to Him is so important. I cannot emphasize this anymore than this: Listen to God, it will save your life!

My prayer for you for today is that you will continue on your journey even when you are mocked and laughed at with determination and your eyes fixed on the prize of eternity, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 23 October 2012 (Destiny)

A reminder for today
"Build a large boat from cypress wood and waterproof it with tar, inside and out. Then construct decks and stalls throughout its interior. (Genesis 6:14)

Destiny – God has a plan for you: I guess each one of us finds ourselves in a place where we start to wonder about where we are heading and what we are supposed to do. There is that inner feeling that you belong but you are not quite sure where. Through our lives we make decisions and plan our lives and work our way to where we think we should be.

God made you with a specific goal and He will place you strategically in places throughout your live to achieve that goal. You see, as long as you follow you own direction you will always have that feeling that you belong somewhere else, but the minute you submit to God’s will and follow His direction, you will feel different.

One day Noah was an average man living an average life, and the next day he and his family were the only survivors left on earth with a massive responsibility. God can take your life and really turn it upside down in moments.

With destiny comes patience. Be patient with God, He knows the right time and the right moment. Spend time with God and asking Him where you are needed. Even if you feel that you are not where you must be, God placed you there for a reason. Each day of our lives builds on to the next day, and as we listen and learn we are slowly prepared for the greater things that God will need us to do.

My dear friend, I pray that you will be patient and that God will guide you in your journey towards your destiny, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder - 22 October 2012 (Fellowship)

A reminder for today
Noah was a righteous man, the only blameless person living on earth at the time, and he walked in close fellowship with God. (Genesis 6:9)

Fellowship – Walking with God: There are three things about Noah that stands out. He was righteous, blameless and he walked in fellowship with God.

These are key ingredients to a successful life with eternity as your destination. Righteous means to be virtuous, moral and honourable living a life that glorified God in it very essence. This is something that we find difficult living in a corrupt and broken world, but allowing God to steer and guide you will overcome your own inadequacies and allow you to grow in your relationship with Him. With God anything is possible.

Noah was blameless. In this context Noah was not a wicked man like the people on the earth at that time, so he was not to blame for all the pain and destruction that people allowed. You should stand for what is right and not allow yourself to be corrupted by society.

Noah walked with God. It is so important that we start our day with God and then walk the remainder of our day with Him. Spend time with God in prayer. Talk to God about the things that bother you and glorify Him for your successes. Place your worries in His hands and spend time reading His word. For in His word you will find strength, direction and wisdom.

My dear friend, I pray that you will be blameless and righteous as you walk with God on your journey to His kingdom, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Holy Alphabet

 Although things are not perfect
 Because of trial or pain
 Continue in thanksgiving
 Do not begin to blame
Even when the times are hard
Fierce winds are bound to blow
 God is forever able
Hold on to what you know
 Imagine life without His love
 Joy would cease to be
Keep thanking Him for all the things
 Love imparts to thee
 Move out of "Camp Complaining"
 No weapon that is known
On earth can yield the power
 Praise can do alone
 Quit looking at the future
 Redeem the time at hand
 Start every day with worship
 To "thank" is a command
 Until we see Him coming
 Victorious in the sky
We'll run the race with gratitude
 X-alting God most high
Yes, there'll be good times and yes some will be bad, but...
Zion waits in glory...where none are ever sad!

Today Reminder - 19 October 2012 (Evil)

A reminder for today
The LORD observed the extent of human wickedness on the earth, and he saw that everything they thought or imagined was consistently and totally evil. (Genesis 6:5)

Evil – Human Wickedness: “Let no man pull you so low as to hate him.” ― Martin Luther King Jr

There are so much evil in this world and so many live and thrive by it. But let us not look at the world out there, instead let us turn to our own area where we live. To see wrong and not speak up about it must be wrong.

The Lord saw the evil in the world, but He also saw the good in Noah. So instead of destroying everything, He saved Noah and his family. But Noah found favour with the LORD – (Genesis 6:8). You see in all the evil that happens around us we are able to show God’s grace and mercy. We can show His light in the way we deal with the wrongs and bad things that happens. It is important that we strive and live to find favour with the Lord.

Let us unite against evil in prayer as we ask the Lord to bring freedom to those oppressed and to those in the grip of evil. Let us show His light through our lives and bring His Word to the needy. Jesus came for all and all can be saved.

Let us find favour with God in listening when He needs to talk about Him, show Him through our way of life, give to help someone, share to bring hope to someone, laugh and smile to break evil’s grip on other, live by faith, live and trust Him and stand up against evil.

My dear friend, the enemy should not see you as an easy target, instead the enemy should fear your next move. Be bold, because we do not worship a mediocre God. We worship the God of Noah, the creator of heaven and earth – He has no limits, He is everlasting and all powerful. Look out devil, here we come.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
