Today Reminder - 24 January 2013 (Bread of life)

A reminder for today

Remember how the LORD your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey His commands. Yes, He humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8:2-3)

Bread of life:

Are you in a wilderness in your life at the moment? Do you feel that your character is being tested as you are burdened with trials? Remember that God does not leave you. He stands by your side through every moment of every day. We sometimes need to go through character tests to build us and to prepare us for what lies ahead. God put the Israelite people through a forty year character test and although your trails could feel like a forty year wilderness test it is important that you remain humble and faithful.

The greatest lesson that God needs us to learn is being humbly dependent on Him and that we will learn that we do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD. The word of God is our true food and powers our Spirit so that we can face these trials and succeed showing God that we are more than capable to face whatever lies ahead.

My dear friend, here is your salvation. Jesus replied, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry again. Whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.” (John 6:35) Jesus is the way, the true life force that will carry you through. Stand tall and let the storms come. You are an indestructible force with an unlimited supply of strength from an all-powerful God.

I pray that your strength will be renewed and that your character will stand through the trials that lie ahead and that you will humbly live on the bread of live, the Word of God, in Jesus name.

Today Reminder - 23 January 2013 (Special treasure)

A reminder for today

For you are a holy people, who belong to the LORD your God. Of all the people on earth, the LORD your God has chosen you to be His own special treasure. (Deuteronomy 7:6)

Special treasure:

My dear friend, it is time that I remind you of how special you are to God and important you are to Him. You are more than meets the eye. You are a child of God. You are beautifully created in His image and you are a powerful fortress of hope with His Holy Spirit that dwells in you. You are unstoppable and unbreakable with the strength of the Lord that surrounds you. You are destined for greatness for His name and you are made to live triumphantly.

You are a vessel of honour and light in the darkness. You are a friend, a brother or a sister. You are a valuable employee, a great leader and an awesome mother or father. You come from a bloodline of soldiers and you are a warrior of hope.

In your heart lives a king and that makes you a prince or princess. So rise up and do not let the enemy make you think that you are not enough. You are a special treasure for God and you are so valuable to Him. Stand up all princes and princesses. Stand up with me as we glorify an amazing God with all that we are. Come and live, because you are made to live free and live in victory. 

Thank you for being my friend. You are also a special treasure in my life.

I pray that you will become the mighty warrior for God that you are destined to be and that you will be an unmovable force of light that breaks all darkness around you and that all your burdens will suddenly seem so small and comparison, in Jesus name.

Today Reminder - 22 January 2013 (Childlike faith)

A reminder for today

Stay on the path that the LORD your God has commanded you to follow. Then you will live long and prosperous lives in the land you are about to enter and occupy. (Deuteronomy 5:33)

Childlike faith:

I am often left in wonder when I see how my son believes. When he says that Jesus is in his heart and how he would ask the Lord for help with the smallest of things, it leaves me without words. His faith seems so pure and undivided. I can’t help to think of what the Lord Jesus taught us in Mark 10:15 – “I tell you the truth, anyone who doesn't receive the Kingdom of God like a child will never enter it." Then He took the children in His arms and placed His hands on their heads and blessed them.

My dear friend, as we journey along on this path that the Lord wants us to follow we must renew our faith and be more like children. Trust the Lord like a child without any restrictions and conditions. Just trust Him as you follow your path to the land that lies ahead. To the destination that the Lord needs you to reach where you will prosper and live in His glory.

I pray that your faith will be like a child and that your journey will be a journey of trust as you follow the Lord’s voice and commands to reach your destination, in Jesus name.

Today Reminder - 21 January 2013 (The Lord is God)

A reminder for today

"He showed you these things so you would know that the LORD is God and there is no other. So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The LORD is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. (Deuteronomy 4:35 and 39)

The Lord is God:

These two verses are just awesome. The Lord is God and there is no other.  It is important that we make a note of remembering this each and every day. The Lord will sometimes bring things into our lives to show us that He is God or to make us remember. 

My dear friend, whatever it is that you are facing or going through whether it is good or bad, God is there and He wants you to place Him first and to trust Him with all of your heart. There is no other like Him and He, the creator of heaven and earth, He calls us friend. 

He is the one friend that will never leave your side nor will He let you stand alone while the winds of life rushes by and leaves you cold. He stands beside you keeping you firmly in His hands and shielding you from the worst. He is the warm blood that rushes through our veins and the constant beat or our hearts. He is God and He is the only one.

I pray that you will be a great friend for God and that His presence in your life will shine like the morning star, in Jesus name.

Today Reminder - 18 January 2013 (God alone)

A reminder for today

So be careful not to break the covenant the LORD your God has made with you. Do not make idols of any shape or form, for the LORD your God has forbidden this. The LORD your God is a devouring fire; He is a jealous God. (Deuteronomy 4:23-24)

God and God alone:

There should be only one God in your life. Only one God that you worship and that owns your heart, and this must be God our Father and creator. We should be very careful about this, since God takes His place in your life very seriously.

I have written to you before about putting God aside and letting worldly influences misdirect you. God loves you more than we can understand. To give His only son out of love for our sins is a love that rises far above our own ability to comprehend. Therefore God is very serious about who you place first in your life and where His position is.

My dear friend, let us take this day and just worship an amazing and awesome God and make a point to let God know that He is and will always be our first love. He takes the primary position in our lives and He gets all the glory for all that we do and all that we are. 

Come let us celebrate His mercy by sharing His love with those around us. Be more, because He that lives in you is unlimited.

I pray that you will always put God first in your live and that you will not slip away but remain on this path as you look towards God for direction and comfort, in Jesus name.
