Today Reminder – 25 April 2017

A reminder for today
So do not throw away this confident trust in the Lord. Remember the great reward it brings you! Patient endurance is what you need now, so that you will continue to do God's will. Then you will receive all that he has promised. (Hebrews 10:35-36)

Endurance is the ability to endure an unpleasant or difficult process or situation without giving way. Yes, life for a Christian is not easy and I know that sometimes you feel you just cannot go on anymore. Those storms and those challenges can surely be overwhelming. Today the Lord wants me to remind you to endure. The promise for us that endures to the end is much greater than all that we could ever lose. For in just a little while, the Coming One will come and not delay. (Verse 37)

It is in these moments when we feel so vulnerable and unable to stand that the Lord hold us in His hands. Therefore, do not look at the storm around you but see the hands that holds you. We draw our strength from our Lord and there is no better time, than this time in the storm to fall back and open your Bible and receive strength from His Words.

The enemy will fill your head with lies like you are not worthy or you are not able to or even that you are weak. Listen to my words! You are not weak and you are surely able. You are the very image of God and with Him, you are a beacon of hope and a castle of salvation. You are a diamond and you should shine like one. Nothing is greater than the great I am. So let us endure all suffering, all our challenges, and all our storms. Let us rise as one man and unite in prayer. It is time to stand. It is time to fight. It is time to believe. It is time, because we walk by faith.

Lord, I pray that you fill us with your Spirit and stand with us as we chase the enemy from our lands and from our homes. Let us unite in our prayers and let us stand with you fearless as we endure to the end. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 24 April 2017

A reminder for today
And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God's house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ's blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. (Hebrews 10:21-22)

Whom do you trust? Where do you place your trust? It is funny, but circumstances can destroy trust and trust is something that is in some instances very hard to earn. Crime and corruption in our country has merely destroyed trust in our fellow citizens. We close up and we just stop trusting people. However, what about your trust in tomorrow? What do you trust that tomorrow will be ok? Some people have a large savings account that they believe will help them, other people trust their possessions and think that wealth will take them through tomorrow. So many people think that their future is safe in their own hands, yet we know that anything can happen and we do not have control over all. So why would you trust your worldly possessions to keep you from despair. Where did those things that we value so much come from? You see, God gave us life. Then He blessed us with talents and gifts like sight and intelligence so that we are able to get a job. Then He blessed us with an income so that we can live. Nothing that we are is because we are so cool. We did not make ourselves, and we surely did not buy our talents. So all that we are is because God gave it to us. Therefore, if God gave us so much, why do we need to place our trust in anything other than Him? Why do we think we alone can foresee all that awaits us in the future?

I have said it before and I do not care to say it again. My trust is in Jesus Christ. He is, He was, and He will always be. If He has taken care of me for so long therefore, He will surely do it forever. So, in other words nothing that I have is in fact mine, because I received it out of His gracious hand. Then why am I so reluctant to help other? It is, because my trust is not in the right place. Now, come with me and let us place our trust completely in the Lord and let us help those in need. Do not let the enemy confuse you and keep you from the blessing of blessing someone else. This world is temporary and soon it will all be gone. What then? Will you stand before God in fear of a life wasted or will you stand in amazement with a life lived for His glory and enter into heaven? Where is your trust? Mine is in Jesus Christ and I will not waste another moment listening to the lies of a fallen enemy.

Lord, in you I place all my trust and all my fears and I pray that you will heal our lands and show your glory as we unite in prayer. To you we give all the praise and all the glory. Let us live for you alone. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Today Reminder – 21 April 2017

A reminder for today
And just as each person is destined to die once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died once for all time as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. He will come again, not to deal with our sins, but to bring salvation to all who are eagerly waiting for him. (Hebrews 9:27-28)

It is Friday and it is a beautiful day. My day started with work, work and more work and work. We are finalizing our skills build and time is running out. Anyway, we visited my brother in law yesterday and when we said goodbye it was dark already. They live a little outside of the city and the night sky was just amazing as it was filled with stars. They were so beautiful that I stood for a moment amazed at the sight. It reminded me that the heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Day after day they continue to speak; night after night they make him known. And I felt the Lord.

My dear friend, we have a destiny, and it is to be with our Lord in heaven for eternity and we eagerly await Him. Therefore, I will glorify His name and I will let the world see His glory. It is Friday and you must have an awesome weekend. Take a moment this weekend and look up at the skies. Hear the voice of the Lord and feel His presence. You are a child of God and you are a most precious gem. You are free from sin and the boundaries of this world, because with our awesome God we can walk on water.

Lord, you are my life and the very breath I breathe. Holy is your name and all the glory is for you. Let us soar today and through this weekend as we bring you more glory. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.
