Today’s journal (Fruit) – 14 November 2019

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down. (Luke 13:9)

Jesus tells the parable of a fig tree where the landlord tells his worker to dig it up if it does not bear fruit. Many of us knows the saying that we must bear fruit. What kind of fruit do you bear?
As a Christian or rather a follower of Jesus we need to remember that to bear fruit does not mean carrying your bible with you, it means living out your bible. Paul gave us a summary of the fruit of the spirit. Once you give your life to Jesus and the Holy Spirit is your guide you should have the following fruits of the spirit: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. (Galatians 5)

The worldly side to it is described by Paul as: Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness (looseness; irregular indulgence of animal desires), Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

So, what this means is that a life for Jesus is so far removed from the worlds expectations that we will stand out. It is with love, peace and gentleness that we will defeat the enemy, because he is all for hate and anger and lust and destruction. You can see it in the world around you. Where people will rather listen to their worldly desires and not to God. just take the divorce rate or look at people in traffic or see how people behave when things are not going their way. You can see the lack of spiritual fruit so quickly and the worst part is most of those people go to church every Sunday.

Are you a Monday morning atheist or are you a Paul, that will praise, and worship God chained and beaten in a cold and terrible jail? The difference is not the circumstances but the perspective. You see when I look at this world through the lens the world created, then I will have a destructive reaction. But the moment my perspective change and I see the world looking from God’s perspective I will soon realise that all this anger and hate is not helping. In fact, it makes me a bad person and it pulls me away from my purpose.

So, come with me as we take every challenge and react with love, peace and gentleness while we are generous towards other with love and understanding. Giving, glorifying and living a spirit filled life.
Have an awesome day.

I love you, my friend in Jesus.

Cheers

Today’s journal (Giving up) – 13 November 2019

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. (John 14:6)

It is that time of the year where we are tired and irritated, and we need a break. It is also the time of year where the challenges of a past year has build up to a place where we just want to give up. It is hard in some examples as giving up can lead to depression and suicide. Where are you in this example? How do you feel and is it just too much at the moment?

Jesus said that He is the way and the only way, but He also said don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today. Jesus made the comparison about the birds and how God looks after them and that you are far more valuable to Him. Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Matthew 6)

Worry is a tool used by the enemy to create distance between us and God and make holes in our faith. Jesus is the way and His way is above worries and above stress and above the burdens that is hammering you down. Take a moment and just give it all to Him and ask Him to renew your strength in whatever is lying ahead.

God will never forsake you nor leave you. He loves you and you need to trust His timing and His will. Come with me as we give all those worries to the Lord and let us look at the birds and remember we are far more valuable to our Father. You are never alone and there is no measure of darkness that God cannot reach and pull you out from.

Have an awesome day.

I love you, my friend in Jesus.

Today’s journal (Winning) – 12 November 2019

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. (John 16:33)

I think we forget about this verse often. I saw the doctor again today and just to catch you up. I had a pain in my knees for a long time and this year I manage to hurt my knee a lot and in the following examinations and hospital procedures it was clear that I have huge damage in my knees and I was basically told my training legs days are over and so is my fighting. But God has a different plan.

You see God can take anything the enemy tries to use to destroy us and turn it into something that will glorify God. My knee is much better today, but it is still a long process, and nothing this far was purely medical. All thus far and to come is a miracle. For one I did not know how I am going to afford it, but God has shoved me a plan. Two I did not think it will get better and I am already on my way to recovering.

God is using this to teach me a few things and one of them is that He has overcome the world. I need to trust and have faith. Winning is not a one-time thing, it is an all-time thing. We need to know that living in Jesus is winning all the time, even when this world is way to hard to take, we are still victorious, because we worship and loving and all-powerful God. The same power that rose Jesus from the dead in in us and knowing this puts us ahead of the enemy.

He wants to destroy us, but he can’t because we belong to God. We are His children and that makes us victorious. Life is not going to be easy, but with God we can do anything. Remember that, because the lies of the enemy should have no impact on us. The truth we have in Jesus is the only thing that should impact us and the world around us.

Have an awesome day.

I love you, my friend in Jesus.
