Today Reminder – 21 October 2014 (Day 15 – Faith)

A reminder for today
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God's command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. (Hebrews 11:3)

My dear friend, when we say that God made the universe and all in it, we declare it by faith. We understand that God did this out of our faith and we believe because of this faith. We know that it is not by sight that we follow Him, but it is by faith as we journey towards our destination in eternity.

Now, take that same faith and believe that God is able to change anything and do anything that you ask in prayer. Think about that for a moment, my friend. We forget how powerful prayer truly is and how much we are able to achieve by prayer through faith.

Therefore I lift you up today in my prayers as I ask God to hear our prayers and come to our rescue. I pray that the God who made heaven and earth will bless you and protect you through all that awaits you. I pray that He will take away all that troubles you and change your life. I pray that the obstacles in life will seem like tiny bumps as you journey past them safely in His hands. I pray that He will give you strength and change your circumstances so that you will see His glory in your life and that all who see you will know that He is your God and you are His child. I pray for repair in broken relationships and healing where there is pain. I pray for release where there is burden and blessings where there is hardship. I pray for wisdom and guidance and the strength to follow His way as we walk on fearless and filled with hope. I pray that the enemy will flee when they see you and that you will be a light for many. I pray that your faith will move mountains, yours and those in your life.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 20 October 2014 (Day 14 – Faith)

A reminder for today

But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. Fight the good fight for the true faith. (1 Timothy 6:11-12)

The evil in this world is there to rob us of our faith. The enemy’s sole purpose is to make you fear and lose faith so that you can become and easy target. Those who are lost is not on his list. He seeks to bring the righteous to the knees and to destroy those who follow Jesus and His teachings. He wants to darken your way and lead you to your destruction. The way to this is not in this world or in this time. No he seeks your downfall in eternity.

Our faith is our light and the beacon of our hope. You, my friend, are a son and daughter of the living God. Run from all these evil things and pursue righteousness and a godly life of faith, love and gentleness. Let Jesus be the calm in your voice as the Holy Spirt guides your words. Look up as you walk and let the knowledge of your freedom in Jesus destroy fear and fill you with renewed hope.

Persevere in your faith and in your life towards the new life in Jesus and the new home in heaven and an eternity of happiness. Fight the good fight for true faith and let us break the hold of the enemy as we journey onwards to our goal.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 17 October 2014 (Day 13 – Faith)

A reminder for today

But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do. (James 1:6-8)

I believe that faith and stability is uniquely interwoven into each other. Faith creates stability and faith brings calmness. It is with undivided faith that we should walk on our journey and face each challenge that awaits us. James talks about faith in God alone and that we should not waver. Waver means to hesitate or to be indecisive. To trust God with faith means to make your choice and to trust God for the outcome. God is not in the same time as we are. He is now, yesterday and forever. He sees and knows what was and what is and what is to come. Why would you doubt when He knows what is coming and surly He will shelter you and protect you.

My friend, we fear too much. The world and comfort has made us fearful. Be bold, stand up and follow His voice. He will never lead you on the wrong path or give you something you cannot handle. He knows that He can do anything. It is time we remember that.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 16 October 2014 (Day 12 – Faith)

A reminder for today

Jesus told her, "I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. Everyone who lives in me and believes in me will never ever die. Do you believe this, Martha?" (John 11:25-26)

Yesterday I left you with the question “How can we have that faith?” I thought about it for a while and naturally I looked at myself and my own life. For a moment I was concerned, because I realise that I still lack that faith. I realised that I needed to think again what is faith and what does it mean to me. So I asked my friend what she thought faith is and how do we achieve Daniel-like faith.

She said that to her faith is knowing and living beyond our worldly fears. Faith is allowing the Holy Spirit to lead us in truth and to know that Jesus will always be there to catch us when we fall no matter what the circumstance is. Faith is believing without if’s and but’s. Faith is the knowledge that you are able to do anything through Jesus that strengthens you. To achieve Daniel-like faith you need to get to a point where God is all you can experience and all that you desire. To know that life is not in your hands and to lose the worldly life and focus on the Spiritual life.  To give all to God and to give up on all your worldly desires so that you can live completely in His grace. To listen to His voice and to follow His plan and finally to realise that it is all about God.

My dear friend, Jesus is the life. He is all I am and all I want. If I can achieve this each day I will achieve the impossible.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 15 October 2014 (Day 11 – Faith)

A reminder for today

The Bible, in Daniel 3, records the story of the burning fiery furnace:

The three young men stood looking at the very site where they were to be put to death. The edict had gone out—they were to be thrown, alive and bound, into a furnace heated to seven times its usual fervor. Everyone watching understood: This was an execution. This was what happened when you disobeyed the king.

Just moments ago, the three men had been given the chance to circumvent this ugly fate. With little more than a few motions on their part, they could have saved their own lives. But they refused. Why?

The king had previously set up a 90-foot-high golden statue. At various times throughout the day, which were to be prompted by music, he commanded that his people fall down and worship this statue. Out of the entire nation, we are given the names of only three men who had the courage to stand against this royal decree. And for that courage, Shadrach, Meshach and Abed-Nego were going to die.

When King Nebuchadnezzar became aware of their insubordination, he summoned the rebels and gave them an ultimatum: Worship the statue or be thrown into a fiery furnace. Their response is preserved for us in Daniel 3:16-18. "Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, 'O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.'"

The faith of these three men in God allowed them to stand up to the world's most powerful man and refuse to follow his blasphemous orders. They were then thrown into the furnace and miraculously delivered unharmed by God. But perhaps the most amazing thing about their story is their unwavering dedication to God in the face of an unknown outcome. Their faith was strong enough to accept giving their lives!

How can we have that faith?
