A
reminder for today
The
LORD of Heaven's Armies has sworn this oath: "It will all happen as I have
planned. It will be as I have decided.” (Isaiah 14:24)
December – can you believe it? This year has gone by so
quickly. Every year seems faster than the next and every week seem to fly past
us in the blink of an eye. I always say that there is one thing you can say for
certain and that is that time never stops, never takes a break and definitely
never gives you a second chance.
Well as you know, this month is the month we celebrate
the birth of Jesus and the wonder of His mercy and love. When I read this verse
I could not help but to think of this:
"Father,
if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want
your will to be done, not mine." (Luke 22:42)
This is the one single moment before His death where
Jesus just leaves me in awe. This shows us the way we should live towards God
and how we should understand Him. It is never about us. It is always about Him
and for His glory. So no matter what we desire or need, in the end it is His
will and how He planned it. God can take any “bad” and turn it into “good”. But
no matter the circumstances, it is His will that we should follow and live by.
No matter how difficult it seems, following God’s will,
will change your life. So today let us allow His will to be done as we pray. Father let your will be done also in the earth, just as it is in Heaven.
