Today Reminder – 12 June 2015 (Day 10 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! (Psalm 121:1-2)

Oh how I need your help today Lord. My burdens weight heavily upon my shoulders and I can feel my challenges pulling me down and the waves of troubles smashing against me as I battle to keep my head above water.

I look up at those mountains of problems and I search endlessly for my help. I stare at these huge boulders as they fill my path and leave me panting with fear. How am I ever going to be able to do it all and how will I ever make it in the time I have left?

My worries consume me and I feel my world crumble for a moment. I am lost in my own worries and fears as I struggle to understand the extra burdens that are now added to my already heavy load.

Where does my help come from? Where does my help come from?

My help is from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. If He speaks life is created and how much more will I be able to do with Him that constantly breaths life over me.

My friend, we keep looking at this world through human eyes when we should look at it through Holy Spirit eyes. With God all is possible and when I make my deadlines and bring the world to a stop with what we are about to do, then all will see God in me and they will stand in fear of what God is going to do through me next.

Stand up! You are in God’s army now. We never lose.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 11 June 2015 (Day 9 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. (Matthew 5:14-16)

Everywhere you go and in everything you do people see you and they see what you do and how you do it. I love the words: “In darkness your light will be revealed”. Every day leaves us with challenges and temptations and some days we win and some days we lose. Some days we are just so tired of all the politics and negativity that it changes our normal behaviour. We get upset and angry especially at people because people can disappoint us and hurt us the most.

Jesus makes it clear here that our light should shine and it should not be hidden. We should live out who we are and who we trust and follow. You see how the world is and you get negative and people hurt us and they can even try and break us. People get influenced by darkness because the allow darkness to enter into their lives.

If you had the cure for cancer, would you keep it a secret? If you had a solution to change every person’s life, would you hide it? If you were given the opportunity to improve an area in your life would you say no?

You have the greatest gift of all gifts and you trust the only living God, the creator of heaven and earth, the God that gave His Son so that you can be free. You have this knowledge and this is your light. Do not hide it, my friend, let it be seen. You are that city on a hilltop. Yes many will try and destroy you, but who can destroy a city that is protected by God?

What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us? Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won't he also give us everything else? Who dares accuse us whom God has chosen for his own? No one—for God himself has given us right standing with himself. Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honour at God's right hand, pleading for us. (Romans 8:31-34)

Come and let us break another wall and let our light shine in the darkness. Let us change this world one smile at a time.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 10 June 2015 (Day 8 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
Do not gloat over me, my enemies! For though I fall, I will rise again. Though I sit in darkness, the LORD will be my light. (Micah 7:8)

It is funny how the Lord works. We often think we know what is to follow but God can change any path and any course. One moment we might be heading north and the next moment we are facing south. The past few months has been tough on me but it also opened my eyes to so many things. I saw again how important family is and quickly they unite to help us and keep us up in our storms. I saw how friends open the hearts and how people you do not even know reach out and help. Then I saw how friends become enemies and how suddenly people can turn their backs on you. I saw good people suddenly turning against you and how people will judge. Some of them have made similar mistakes or even worse ones and how they suddenly look down on you.

I saw how the enemy can influence people and make them cold and hard. But I also saw the light of love in those who has always been there for me and has never judged me regardless of my mistakes. I heard the gossips and saw the starring and judging eyes. I watched as people look on as my world collapses and my storms nearly destroy me.

My friend, you know how that feels, because regardless of who you are or where you are in this beautiful world, you have seen the good and the bad in people. The hard part is forgiving and accepting. We too have been good and bad and we must also be forgiven.

God reminds me today that we must forgive as we wish to be forgiven or how we have been forgiven. Jesus gave His life for our sins regardless of what they were and who we are. He loves us no matter what we did or what we have done.

God says that our enemies should not gloat over the fact that we have fallen. We will rise again. We might sit in darkness now, but the Lord is our light and His light is unbreakable. When God moves in us the world around us will end up in a whirlpool of change. So I look at my enemies and I forgive them, because I am busy rising.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 09 June 2015 (Day 7 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them. For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron. (Psalm 107:15-16)

How are you my friend? I do hope you are well and that you are managing the storms that life so easily bring upon us. You are in my thoughts today as I stand before my own walls. It is funny how some days I seem fine and on other I just want to scream with frustration.

Sometimes life can feel like a dream, a nightmare that tortures our deepest inner self. We live in conflict and regret and we create walls and storage containers in our minds where we store our pain and our hate so that we can find it again when we need to. We live with knowledge yet we seem to ignore it at times. We bump our heads making the same mistakes over and over again.

We allow ourselves to be captured by our own insecurities and imperfections so that we can get chained by selfishness and jealousy. We seek God yet we continue to push Him away so that we can live onwards with our own faults. We call ourselves only human to mask our mistakes and transfer the guild of our inabilities to open ourselves and allow the Holy Spirit to fully find His place in our way of life.

Why do we want to show God to a world when we struggle to find Him in ourselves.

Today I want to remind you that God will and God can. In His plan lies an unbelievable future for each one of us. Let us praise Him for His great love and the gift we have in Jesus Christ. Let us remember all the wonderful things He has done and then let us position God in the centre of who we are and who we are meant to be.

Watch as He breaks down the walls and the prison gates we created for ourselves. Let us renew and reconcile ourselves with Him as He cuts away the iron bars that bound us to this world.

Let’s stand up again and live to show who He really is in our lives. Let us live a Christ centred life and destroy all that holds us back and creates fear within us. Let the Holy Spirit guide us and steer us in our storms.

Let the world stand amazed at His wonder.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 08 June 2015 (Day 6 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
I long for the Lord more than sentries long for the dawn, yes, more than sentries long for the dawn. (Psalm 130:6)

I find myself awake at night thinking about what is done and what might lie ahead. My mind is sometimes in turmoil with thoughts as I struggle to get through some days and some nights. We live our lives so easily affected by other and our circumstances that we forget to focus our minds on the only stability we need.

Yes I long for so many things and yet I know that now is not the right time. I have often written to you that God’s timing is perfect and we should not forget that. God has a plan with everything and in everything He wants us to show His glory.

So today as we stand together to break the walls and lift our heads out of the sorrow that we have or the pain we live with or even the worries we have of what lies ahead, let us long for Him. In the end it is all about Jesus and all that we are and all that we do should be for Him. We should take ourselves out of the picture and fill our picture with Him so that He consumes our very being.

Today I long for you Lord, as the sentries long for the dawn. I seek you and need you for alone I am nothing and alone I have fallen and will fall more. With you I find peace and hope and with you I can look forward to tomorrow for today your glory will shine in and through me.

I long for you and I live for you, Lord. You are my new dawn and in your hands I place all my worries and my concerns. I you I have a new life.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus
