Today Reminder – 12 June 2015 (Day 10 – Break the walls)

A reminder for today
I look up to the mountains—does my help come from there? My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth! (Psalm 121:1-2)

Oh how I need your help today Lord. My burdens weight heavily upon my shoulders and I can feel my challenges pulling me down and the waves of troubles smashing against me as I battle to keep my head above water.

I look up at those mountains of problems and I search endlessly for my help. I stare at these huge boulders as they fill my path and leave me panting with fear. How am I ever going to be able to do it all and how will I ever make it in the time I have left?

My worries consume me and I feel my world crumble for a moment. I am lost in my own worries and fears as I struggle to understand the extra burdens that are now added to my already heavy load.

Where does my help come from? Where does my help come from?

My help is from the Lord who made the heavens and the earth. If He speaks life is created and how much more will I be able to do with Him that constantly breaths life over me.

My friend, we keep looking at this world through human eyes when we should look at it through Holy Spirit eyes. With God all is possible and when I make my deadlines and bring the world to a stop with what we are about to do, then all will see God in me and they will stand in fear of what God is going to do through me next.

Stand up! You are in God’s army now. We never lose.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
