Today Reminder - 24 September 2012 (A new beginning)

A new beginning
“Remember as you go about your day that you may be the only Jesus some of your friends, neighbors, and family will ever see.” ― Wanda E. Brunstetter

Searching for Jesus
My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20)

If you are to look for Jesus today, where will you find Him? I have so often wondered how many times I miss the opportunity to show Jesus to people by not living according to His principles. How often do we follow our own mind and reject the direction God places on our hearts. How many times have we allowed worries and troubles to steel Jesus from us? My dear friend, when you gave your life to Jesus, you became a new you. You are a disciple, an ambassador of the living God and a representative of the kingdom of God here on earth. People must be able to find Jesus when they look at you.

So let us take this great responsibility and change our focus from ourselves to Jesus so that we can be true representatives of His love.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder - 21 September 2012 (Finding myself)

Finding myself

“You weren't an accident. You weren't mass produced. You aren't an assembly-line product. You were deliberately planned, specifically gifted, and lovingly positioned on the earth by the Master Craftsman.”
― Max Lucado

Looking inside
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17)

My dear friend, what is controlling your heart? Is it personal desire or is it the love of God? When we finally made up our minds who we are in the mirror and we see ourselves through the glass and we forget the past and stop worrying about tomorrow, what is it that lies within ourselves? The centre of our existence should be God. He that dwells within us should have the freedom of our devotion and not the leftovers of what we don’t use ourselves. When we give our lives for Jesus, we need to make a 360 degree transformation. We need to move away from who we were and desire a new “me” in Jesus Christ. “God loves you just the way you are, but He refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus. ” ― Max Lucado

Therefore let us turn to Him and seek His presence in our lives as we slowly transform our inner self to mirror Him so that when someone looks through our window they will see God and then understand why we don’t look back and never fear what lies ahead. “Feed your fears and your faith will starve. Feed your faith, and your fears will.” ― Max Lucado

“Allow God to be as creative with you as He is with each of us.” ― Francis Chan

Today Reminder - 20 September 2012 (Finding myself)

Finding myself

“It's hard to beat a person who never gives up.” ― Babe Ruth

Looking ahead
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the LORD your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)

My dear friend, looking ahead can sometimes be a dreadful thing. What lies ahead is unknown and what will happen next cannot be predicted, but how you handle it can make or break it. "So don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today's trouble is enough for today.” (Matthew 6:34) Let us not dwell in the past or seek a tomorrow, but instead let us live for now. Now is what matters! What is done is done and what lies ahead is in God’s hands. To trust God and have faith means that we do not worry about tomorrow but instead we live today. Do not let the dark clouds of tomorrow take away you joy of today. Come with me today dear friend as we place our trust in God completely and lift up His name for the glory of our victory is His glory and the fear of tomorrow is in His hands.

“You say I started out with practically nothing, but that isn't correct. We all start with all there is, it's how we use it that makes things possible.” ― Henry Ford

Today Reminder - 19 September 2012 (Finding myself)

Finding myself

“What's meant to be will always find a way” ― Trisha Yearwood

Looking back
The LORD is my light and my salvation — so why should I be afraid? The LORD is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble? (Psalm 27:1)

My dear friend, do you sometimes look back into your life in shame of the mistakes you have made? Do you look back at better times? Do you long for things lost? We are so quick to bring ourselves down when our current situation is not to our liking. When things go wrong we can so easily sit down and calculate the outcomes of the situation if you have done it differently. We can get stuck in the past when the lesson lies in front of us. Life is all about learning, exploring and improving. God takes us on a path to prepare us for what lies ahead. Even in the bad times we are going through a character development stage as God wants us to trust and depend on Him.

The key is in overcoming and succeeding and forgiving and forgetting. We cannot change the past, but we can surely do better the next time round. The secret lies in standing up and trying again and again.

Today Reminder - 18 September 2012 (Finding myself)

Finding myself

“Sometimes people are beautiful. Not in looks. Not in what they say. Just in what they are.”  ― Markus Zusak

Looking through the glass
But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. (Isaiah 40:31)

My dear friend, I have often found myself looking through a window at the world outside. It can seem so perfect at times and yet it can be so incredibly confusing at other times. Do you look at your life through a window searching for meaning and wondering where you will find stability in all the confusion? God made a perfect world and the enemy came and turned it upside down. This happens in our lives also. God brings comfort and peace, but the minute we place God in the background and allow the enemy in, our world and our perspectives change. No matter how weird, confusing and troublesome your life looks through your window, God is the rock and stability that will bring meaning back into it. He is the anchor we need to find our place in the ocean of life. He is the freedom we need from an ever changing world.

In Jesus we will find our true purpose and the real meaning to life. Seek Him always.

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.” (Matthew 6:33)

“Life isn't about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.” ― George Bernard Shaw
