Today Reminder – 23 September 2014 (Day 17 – My friend)

A reminder for today

When Job prayed for his friends, the LORD restored his fortunes. In fact, the LORD gave him twice as much as before! (Job 42:10)

Friendship carries us through so many moments in our lives. Sometimes these are happy moments and sometimes we share in each other’s sad moments. Friendship is all about listening and understanding and most of all it is about praying. When we unite in our prayers we will see things that we can barely imagine. When we pray God moves and when He moves you better get ready for it is going to be a rollercoaster ride. We should carry each other in our prayers and we should take our friendship to God in prayer. We must pray more and spend more time with God. God wants you to have fellowship with Him and He so desires time with you. Prayer is powerful and our only tool against the powers of darkness. Dr. Andrew Murray said: “I am convinced that we will never fully appreciate what the great significance of prayer is as long as we only regard it as a way to sustain our own spiritual life. But if we learn to view it as the most important work entrusted to us, the basis and strength of all our work, then we will realise that there is nothing we should study and practice as the art of praying correctly.” You are in my prayers my friend and I pray that God carries you through all that awaits you. I pray that I will be there to be your friend and carry you in my prayers as we ride the waves of life into the shores of tomorrow.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 22 September 2014 (Day 16 – My friend)

A reminder for today
But Jesus said, "Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to those who are like these children." (Matthew 19:14)

We are not only a friend to God, but His children. These verses are so well known where Jesus called the children back as He explains that the kingdom of heaven is for those who are like children. Sometimes I think I am just a child in an adult body. I love being with my boys and to watch them play as their little imaginations have no boundaries. I want to turn these verses upside down a bit and show you the picture I have in my head. You see friends can do funny things together. Sometimes people will frown at you and think you are weird, but you and your friend understand it. It is that “only we get it” moments that best friends have. Now when Jesus calls back the children think of it like this: Jesus is your friend and as we turn to Him and follow Him faithfully, the Father turns to us and says “Do not stop my children, for my Kingdom are for those who follows my Son, for He is the way and the truth”. Being a friend of Jesus means that our friendship will soar and we will reach heights that other would think impossible. I tell you this from what I experience in my own life. I see Jesus as my best friend, and together we have done some pretty impossible things. He gives me wings so that I can soar high above all the worries of this life. He gives me strength so that I will never stop and He gives me wisdom so that I can do my work better than ever. And you know, He is your best friend too. Even if you do not think so, He surely does.  This means that you will see His glory in your life in all that you do and it will leave you stunned, just like it does to me. Come my friend, for our friendship in Jesus makes us limitless people with unlimited strength. Let us fly together, because when you are friends with Jesus, walking is so yesterday.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 19 September 2014 (Day 15 – My friend)

A reminder for today
The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense. (Proverbs 17:9)

How are you my friend? Friendship is a gift from God and a powerful tool in our fight against the powers of darkness. Friendship builds and uplifts us when we need it so much. Friendship can carry us through pain and help us with those heavy burdens. Being your friend is not just a blessing but a huge responsibility, for two is better than one. I decided to break down friendship for you as follows:

F – Friend
R – Reliable
I – Impressed
E – Enough
N – Needed
D – Depend
S – Soul
H – Hope
I – Increase
P – Power

You are my Friend and we Rely on our bond. Our strength comes from Jesus and this Impress other. Your friendship is Enough and so Needed. You can Depend on me as I Depend on you. Our friendship comes from the soul for we are friends in Jesus and this brings Hope and an Increase in Power.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 18 September 2014 (Day 14 – My friend)

A reminder for today

A 5 year old girl asked her friend "What is Friendship???"
He replied "Friendship is when you take my Chocolates every day from my bag and I still keep it in the same place...."

To be honest with you, I don't have the words to make you feel better, but I do have the arms to give you a hug, ears to listen to whatever you want to talk about, and I have a heart; a heart that's aching to see you smile again.

If there's tomorrow when we're not together, there's something you must always remember. You are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. But the most important thing is, even if we're apart... I'll always be with you.

When three of Job's friends heard of the tragedy he had suffered, they got together and travelled from their homes to comfort and console him. (Job 2:11)

Friendship is that invisible bond that only we can see that makes us seem funny and weird to other but it makes perfect sense when we see it. Friendship is an unlimited amount of try and try again, stand and stand together, laugh and laugh till you cry, cry and cry together, walk and walk in the same direction, shine and shine for His glory, live and live as if there is no tomorrow.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 17 September 2014 (Day 13 – My friend)

A reminder for today
And Jonathan made a solemn pact with David, because he loved him as he loved himself. Jonathan sealed the pact by taking off his robe and giving it to David, together with his tunic, sword, bow, and belt. (1 Samuel 18:3-4)

My dear friend, what a blessing it is to have a friendship that is sealed and protected. Jesus gave us the way and He showed us true friendship with a humble heart. He lifted the burdens that we carry and opened life for us so that we can love freely and truly. What an awesome blessing it is to have your friendship. I just love the boundless and limitless friendship we see in David and Jonathan. Their unselfish way of being friends and their loyalty to each other is so remarkable. I believe that our friendship is also sealed with a pact that we share in Jesus Christ and this pact makes our friendship lasting. Our tunic is the Holy Spirit and our sword the Word of God. Our bow is the gospel that has no boundaries and our belt is the foundation of our friendship in Jesus Christ.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
