Today's thought - 10 June 2026 (Protect)

 

Your prayer time (closet time) is for me one of the most important parts of my day. It is in this time that I seek my Father and I seek His Word. With my battles most mornings are me laying to my Father’s feet the desires of my heart and every morning the Holy Spirit just opens the Word and answers. I wrote to you yesterday about trust and waiting patiently for the Lord and how our faith grows in our surrender and trust in our Lord and His ways. Never ever compromise on your time in prayer with the Lord and never compromise your time in the Word of God. It is in these encounters that His fire fills me and I will go out boldly into this world and share His gospel. And never ever be ashamed or fear to share Jesus with someone. So let me paraphrase Psalm 27 a little and I pray that the Holy Spirit will bless you with this today. My dear friend, if God is for us, who can be against us.

The Lord is the very light that opens my path and directs my life. Every season He carries me so why would I fear. Even when evil people with dark hearts plan to destroy me, they will slip and fall and even when they come with lies and deceit, I will not fear and even when they seek new ways and new lawyers, I will remain confident.

There is only one thing my heart truly desires and that is to be with my Lord and walk with the Holy Spirit all the days of my life. To see His hand at work and to worship Him in church and every day for that matter.

When trouble comes, He protects me. He is my rock and my shelter and my rest. He will lift me up when my enemies surround me and, in their presence, He prepares a feast for me, and I will sing songs of victory for He is with me.

Even when the world turns its back on me, my Lord and God will never leave me, and I will continue to seek His face. He will never leave me nor forsake me. He is the great I am and I will trust Him through it all.

He will not turn me over to the malicious accusations and lies of my enemies. Instead, He will teach me His ways, and I will be confident for I will see His goodness in this season, and I will continue to serve and wait for my Lord and He will make me strong because I have the power of the Holy Spirit in me.

All things will work out for good for I know the thoughts my God has for me, and they are to give me a future and a hope. My hope remains confident in my Lord Jesus Christ, because with Him I can do all things.
