Today's thought - 18 June 2026 (In it with you)

 

I want to add on what we were talking about yesterday. We know that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were thrown into the fire and God did not extinguish the fire. We know that when they came out, they did not even smell of fire. There are three important things we need to remember, and I think we need to make it part of our daily walk.

1) God did not stop the fire. So, sometimes we must go through the fire.

2) Three were thrown into the fire, but four walked in the fire. God will be with you through whatever you face. He is in it with you.

3) When they came out the fire it had no effect on them, but it affected the viewpoint of Nebuchadnezzar because he said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here”. His entire view changed and that means that our fires (battles) will affect other even while we are going through them.

That is why our scripture is so important today and I know God is speaking to me just as much to you that you hear it and remember it - When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

We read in Isaiah 43:1, “But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine”.

Not only does He call you by your name, He declares that you are His. Jesus did not just go through the pain and the suffering and the cross. He defeated death, satan and sin. He took all your sin on Him, but He also stands daily and intercedes for you. The Bible says in Romans 8:34, “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us”.

My dear friend I am trying to make a very important point here. Jesus will be in the fire with you. No weapon will prosper and the fire will not scorch you. He walks and carries you when you can’t go on and above all that He calls you His own and He stands at the right hand of God the Father and He prays for you. 

This is absolutely mind blowing. What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8).

My dear friend, I love you very much, but it is a drop in the ocean compared to the love of God. What He did and what He continuous to do every day. He is for you and you are His and this means that nothing and I say nothing can separate us from the love of God and nothing can take you from His hand. Be strong and courageous because He is already in the fight for you. Come and let us battle on our knees and let God fight the actual battle. Just as God is putting things in place in my court case and fighting for me, He is also fighting for you and preparing things for you. Be patient in the fire, that is why they walked around in the fire. They did not lie down and felt sorry for themselves, they walked around free giving glory to God and in the end the fire they were thrown in became the fire that changed their lives and the lives of other.
