How are you my friend. We live to fight another day. Not by power nor by might, but by the power of the Holy Spirit. Yesterday I wrote to you about tribulations and battles and all the stuff we face in our daily lives and how they basically impact the world around us. We are in essence nothing without our Lord Jesus Christ and as we abide in Him and He in us, we overcome and become stronger and our fruit increases.
In John 9
we read that Jesus made clay and anointed the blind man’s eyes with it and when
he went and washed it, he received sight. In other words, he received the
blessing of sight.
My friend, I
am going to reveal something to you today that has been a hidden secret in the
old writings of days gone by. Yes, this is so deep and has been kept so secret
that world organizations will topple and break down if it becomes known. This is
the most and best kept secret and even secret organizations are not that
secret.
Once it is
revealed you might just not be the same anymore so I urge you to consider the
effects that it will have on your life.
It is, and I
am going to say this very softly. Like in almost whisper soft. It is and I am
just pausing for effect…. You are blessed.
I know who
knew. Haha, no but truthfully, we are all blessed. You see when God made Adam
and Eve we read in Genesis 1:28. Then God blessed them, and God said to
them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion
over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living
thing that moves on the earth.”
The blessing was removed by mans fall but with Abraham that
changed. God says to Abraham in Genesis 12, “I will make you a great nation; I
will bless you and make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will
bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all
the families of the earth shall be blessed.”
Through his lineage, all the families of the earth would
receive God's grace and goodness. Now, and this is very important. When Jesus came,
He restored the original blessing that was lost with Adam. So, by receiving our
Lord Jesus Christ as your saviour you inherit these blessings.
Now it gets better. Through faith in Jesus Christ, the
spiritual blessing and justification (being made right with God) extend to all
people of all nations, making believers the spiritual "descendants"
of Abraham. Now let is look at 1 Chronicles 4:10, And Jabez called on the
God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my
territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from
evil, that I may not cause pain!” So, God granted him what he requested.
Firstly, what is blessing. Blessing is empowering. To bless
someone with something is to empower them. If I bless the guys on the street
with a pair of shoes, I empower them to walk without hurt or shame. When God
blesses us, He empowers us. More so Jabez said God must enlarge his territory. God
will enlarge your sphere of influence. Your area of impact. He will expand your
borders. Then He said that God must place His hand on Him. This is God’s divine
protection, wisdom and strength. This means God is actively involved in your
life with His power, presence, and favour. And finally, to keep evil from us.
To give us victory over our battles and our challenges.
So, today I
am asking and I am urging you to understand that you are blessed but blessed to
be a blessing. God does not bless us in all areas of our lives for our own
selfish needs or gain. He blesses us so that we can bless others. Take this prayer
of Jabez and pray it over your life each day and believe God for your dreams
and your vision and your hope.
God can do
anything and nothing is impossible with Him.
