Today Reminder - 19 March 2012 (Life)

My prayer for you for today is that your life will be a life for Christ and that you will continue to be bold for Him, in Jesus name.

Philippians 1:20-21
For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether I live or die. For to me, living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.

Life. How short is life? For life is but a vapour, here today and gone tomorrow. The question is “What will happen when my life ends? Will my life bring honour to Christ?”

We have the opportunity once more today to live for Christ and to be bold for Him. Death has no power over us anymore as we live a life for Christ. Death was defeated by Jesus as He gave up His life for us. We can live free from the fear of death, because death is just the final step. Paul says “Living means living for Christ, and dying is even better.”

Let us face this day and live a life that will bring honour to Jesus. In everything you do today or in everything that you are faced with, bring honour to Him. If you are working, work with a joyful heart, focussed and diligent as if you are working for God. Seek His presence in each moment and seek His guidance in each thought and in each word. Let God renew your strength and your faith as we embrace this day. Let’s take on our challenges fearlessly and forcefully for Him, so that His glory will shine every step of the way. I know you will bring honour to God with your life, as you live for Jesus. We live by faith and not by sight.

My dear friend, don’t give up and don’t let the enemy steal your joy for our joy comes from the Lord.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus as you live for Christ.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
