Today Reminder - 06 July 2012 (Remember)

For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in His steps.
He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when He was insulted, nor threaten revenge when He suffered. He left His case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly. He personally carried our sins in His body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By His wounds you are healed.  Once you were like sheep who wandered away. But now you have turned to your Shepherd, the Guardian of your souls. (1 Peter 2:21-25)
I just felt today that we should bring glory to God. He is always there, always with us and loves us so dearly. Today I want to remind you of a man, a God who became a man. A man who lived a perfect live and a live that was seen as a threat and a threat that was captured and a captured that was crucified.

He walked our journey and did it with so much compassion. We are so blessed by the fact that we know Him and so much more blessed that we can journey with Him. Peter briefly summarises Jesus here in chapter two, but I can just see this “Rock” of the church with tears in his eyes as he writes about the death of His God and close friend, but I see how those tears turn into joy on a hard face as he remembers the resurrection, as he remember how they found the empty grave and how Jesus appeared to them confirming His resurrection.

My dear friend, Jesus wants us to remember His victory on the cross. He wants you to remember it when life is difficult and when life is good. He wants us to remember that He carried our sins and that we should be dead to sin. He wants us to remember that we must not retaliate nor threaten but instead leave the judgment to God. He wants you to remember that He is the good shepherd and that you can always follow His voice. He will lead you from the pit to a life to live for.

My dear friend, I pray that today you will find His love and grace again and that you will be dead to sin. I pray that all your questions and worries will have answers and that you will break free from whatever it is that holds you back. I pray for victory in your life and I pray that you will live more each day, and in living more you will become more.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
