A reminder
for today
"From the whole community of Israel, record the
names of all the warriors by their clans and families.” (Numbers 1:2)
My dear friend, the war is not against people that we can
see. The war is against the unseen forces of the devil. God is calling you to
be a warrior for Him, to arm yourself in His armour so that you can defeat the
enemy as they launch their attacks on us.
Come with me today as we stand firm on our beliefs as we
face the enemy to defeat them at each chance. Let us unite in celebrating the
birth of our Lord Jesus Christ as we resist all that the enemy has to try and
destroy this special time of the year.
Let joy and happiness be our weapons so that we will
destroy the evil in our world.
Therefore,
put on every piece of God's armour so you will be able to resist the enemy in
the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand
your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armour of God's
righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so
that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the
shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as
your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray
in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent
in your prayers for all believers everywhere. (Ephesians 6:13-18)
