Today Reminder – 9 June 2016

 A reminder for today
Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. So letting your sinful nature control your mind leads to death. But letting the Spirit control your mind leads to life and peace. For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God's laws, and it never will. (Romans 8:5-7)

We are always in conflict. Our sinful nature rebels against the guidance of the Holy Spirit and often our judgement is clouded by our own desires. We walk into our journey with the best of intentions and as soon as we are confronted by sin we fall. Why do we fall, my friend? Is it because we are allowing our sinful nature to dictate who we are or is it that we place our own needs above the plan that God has for us. Paul says that if we allow our sinful nature to control us it will lead to death. Do you not desire life and peace over death and turmoil?

So today we are going to be more attentive on the directions and guidance we receive from the Holy Spirit. So where we would judge let us speak life. Were we find ourselves tangled into gossip, turn away from it. Where we are tested with unnecessary desires let us stand firm and turn from them. Where we are angered let us turn our anger into love. Where we are irritated let us turn irritation into understanding and where we are weak let us turn weakness into strength. Let us not complain but let us do our work diligently and with eager hearts. Let us be kind and understanding to other and let us live.

Lord today we ask that your Holy Spirit fills our human bodies and lead us on through all our challenges today. Let us hear your voice clearly and let us do your will. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
