Today's thought - 21 February 2026

I woke up this morning, and my mind is running with questions and ideas and I guess answers. I have written to you a few times about the fear of the Lord and the reverence with which we should approach Him. I know there will always be that moment of “why” and “how” that slips into our minds and we are confronted with doubts.

Maybe doubts in the systems or people or ourselves or even in God. I guess frustration and irritation sets in and we are easily offended or annoyed. On the one side I am reading Ezekiel 24 where Tyre is destroyed due to their pride and on the other hand God reminds me in Proverbs 5 that He sees and knows everything we do and think. “God sees everything you do and His eyes are wide open as He observes every single habit you have”.

I think what He wants me to see is that pride is often the downfall of man and in our pride, we think God does not see our thoughts an even our actions derived by our thoughts. Wickedness robs us of our destiny and honestly, I do not want to miss the mark and not finish the race. Yes, we will fall, fail, lose, win, lose, suffer, defeat, lose, win, cry out, be confused, want to quit, try again, fail again, question… and so on it will go. In the end Paul writes in 2 Timothy 4 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful.

And now the prize awaits me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give me on the day of his return. And the prize is not just for me but for all who eagerly look forward to his appearing.” So, in the end the race (journey) will be hard and at times you would want to give up, but please, my dear friend. Please keep fighting.

Have an awesome day.
