Today Reminder – 07 September 2015 (Day 5 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today

Dear Lord, It was only yesterday I held a new life in my arms. I thank you for my wonderful sons, they are so precious to me. And each year that passes I grow more amazed at who they are becoming. I ask that you continue to protect them and keep them each day in the year ahead. 

Help me to be a good parent. As I dwell in your love, may I give my own sons an ocean of love to abide in and as I receive your forgiveness, may I always be ready to forgive my own sons and offer them a new day. As I hope in you, and look forward to the future knowing your guidance. May I gently protect and lead my own beloved sons into a place of hope and vision for their future.

I cannot always be with my precious sons, yet I trust in you and know you are beside them each day. Walk close to them at school, Lord. Help them to laugh, play, learn, have fun and make friends. I trust in you. 

1. Create in my son a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10).

2. May my son walk after You, God, and fear You and keep Your commandments and obey Your voice. May he serve You and hold fast to You (Deuteronomy 13:4).

3. May my son be strong and courageous and not fear or be in dread, for it is You, Lord, our God, who goes with him. You will never leave him or forsake him (Deuteronomy 31:6).

4. May my son walk before You, God, as King David walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that You have commanded him, and keeping Your statutes and rules (1 Kings 9:4).

5. Like Timothy, may my son be an example to believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity (1 Timothy 4:12).

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving us the tools of Your Word and prayer to fight the battle for our sons’ hearts. Help me see who our real enemy is when we are in a conflict. May You be glorified in all I do. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today Reminder – 04 September 2015 (Day 4 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today

Our enemy rushes down on us like storm clouds! His chariots are like whirlwinds. His horses are swifter than eagles. How terrible it will be, for we are doomed! (Jeremiah 4:13)

Dear Lord, I woke today and I felt a deep need for you. I look at the mountains that lie ahead of me and I know the only way for me to cross them of move them is with you. I am too small to succeed on my own and I so desperately need you in my life. Lord I am sorry for all the wrongs I have done and all the pain I have caused. I am sorry for doubting you and I am sorry for following my own way. Renew me today and reconcile me with your will and let me follow your path with your voice in my heart.

The enemy rushes down on me today like a storm as I am burdened with guilt and sorrow. He seeks to destroy me but I know that you will save me. For the first time in a long time my soul is peaceful. My heart is quiet and my pain seems acceptable. 

I felt doomed by the fate that awaits me but you have reminded me of your love for me and the wonder of your cross and feel free for the first time in a while. 

In your hands I place me and I ask that you show me the way so that I will do your will and not my own anymore. Oh Lord, I pray for each and every one that reads your blog today. I pray that you will hold them safely in your hands and that you will restore their faith and strengthen them against the enemy that storms us each day. I pray that you will be a shelter where we will feel safe and warm and a rock that we can stand on. I pray that you will bless each one of us so that we will live fearless and free.

Today Reminder – 03 September 2015 (Day 3 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today

"My wayward children," says the LORD, "come back to me, and I will heal your wayward hearts." "Yes, we're coming," the people reply, "for you are the LORD our God. (Jeremiah 3:22)

Dear Lord, be our light today as we follow our dark roads on our journey that lies ahead of us. Be the stars that guide us at night and the sun that shines and warm us in the day. Be our morning star so that our first thoughts will be of you and be our moon so that we will constantly seek you in our darkness.

Open our minds and hearts and fill us with your warm breath so that we can be renewed and redirected so that we will do your will in every moment today. Be our eyes so that we can see what you see and be our hearts so that we can feel what you feel. Let us be patient and kind and let us change the hearts of even the coldest person with the warmth that flows through us.

Be our coffee, Lord, and let our bodies feel your presence as you touch our lives. You are our God and we should need nothing more than you, Lord. 

Give us hope and fill us with new determination as we tackle our challenges and defeat the enemy every time they seek to pull us down. Make us strong so that we will not be pushed aside, but that we will be a wall that stands for you.

Let us make you proud today, Lord. Let us become less and you become more in our lives.

Today Reminder – 02 September 2015 (Day 2 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today

"For my people have done two evil things: They have abandoned me—the fountain of living water. And they have dug for themselves cracked cisterns that can hold no water at all!” (Jeremiah 2:13)

Dear Lord, you are our fountain of living water and in you we find life and life to its fullest. I pray that you guide us today in our work and in our relationships and that you will give us wisdom to make the right choices and do all that we can to praise you in all that we do.

I pray that you fil us once more with strength and guide us as we walk on our journey. I fear that the storms ahead might shake our boats but I ask that you calm our storms and quiet down the gashing winds to bring peace to our souls.

I pray that we never abandon you Lord but that we will always run to you and seek you. Pull us out of our cracked cisterns and bring us back to your fountain of life. 

I look up to the heavens and I seek your help and your guidance Lord. I need your input and your Word in my life. Fill me with your wisdom and let me find me again. Give me back my happiness and fill my emptiness with your joy and your Spirt. 

I am your servant, Lord, make me your soldier.

Today Reminder – 01 September 2015 (Day 1 – Dear Lord)

A reminder for today

For see, today I have made you strong like a fortified city that cannot be captured, like an iron pillar or a bronze wall. You will stand against the whole land—the kings, officials, priests, and people of Judah. They will fight you, but they will fail. For I am with you, and I will take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!" (Jeremiah 1:18-19)

Dear Lord, today I woke and needed so much for you to fill me and guide through this day. I have so much to do and so little time to do it. I need wisdom and strength as my days grow darker and my time shorter. I seek your advice with my personal life as much as I need you to intervene in the troubles that lay in my journey.

I am so needy of you today and I feel so lost in all my issues. I pray that you be with my friends and family. I pray that you are there with every friend that I have wherever they find themselves and especially my friends from all over the world that read your blog each day. I pray that you fill them with strength and guide them through their storms. I pray that you will fill them with your Spirit and bless them with your love so that they will shine in every situation. I pray that you lead them through their troubles and free them from hurt and pain.

I pray that will be with my family today as they need you so much in all their heartache and problems. I pray that you are their eyes and their hands as they seek you and stretch out towards you. I pray for my two boys and I ask that you will bless them and protect them and fill their lives with joy and happiness and that they will see you in me every day.

I pray for the lost and the poor so that the lost will find you and the poor will see you. I pray for the heart that reads this port today so that you will fill this heart with love and passion that will drive them to overcome all their obstacles and see your hands at work in their lives.
