Today Reminder (Pray) – 5 December 2018

A reminder for today
But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly. (Matthew 6:6)

I woke up this morning with that deep grateful feeling. I had a great workout and I got to spend time with my kids plus my friend visited. So, I had a great day yesterday and a lot to be thankful for. My business is really blessed, and I must say God is really amazing in my life at the moment. Although I still have those hurtful and painfilled moments for my loss I am so amazed at how God works to comfort me and carry me through this. I still have a long way ahead, but I am patient because I know who my God is, and I trust Him completely.

Jesus spoke here in Matthew 6 about giving and praying and He goes on and teaches the Lord’s Prayer. He is specific in His message that when we give, we must do so in secret, because then we cannot boast about it and God who sees all will bless us in return. Jesus also says that we should pray in secret and not stand outside like those hypocrites. To me, prayer is a very personal thing and I will go onto my knees at my bed and just talk to the Lord.

I love to thank Him for His grace and blessings in my life and I love to pray for you all. In my prayers I pray for everyone from the government to my enemies and those that I do not like very much at this moment, so yes, I pray for my ex-wife and I pray for Malema. One thing I love is the presence of the Lord when I pray. I feel Him so close all the time and that feeling remains with me as the night unfolds and turns into day. My first thoughts in my morning is of my God and I will read my verse and always reflect on it.

My point is this. In the past few years I have made it my priority to pray every night regardless of my mood or my emotions or whatever I experienced, and I must say that it did not only make me stronger, but it changed my life. It changed how I look at things and it changed how I experience my God and how I hear His voice. The Holy Spirit is so much clearer in my daily life and in all that I do and say. For example: I will get really upset at my ex-wife when she has her moments, but then the Lord will speak to me so clearly and I will call her back and apologise. I will drive by someone begging and I will feel the Lord telling me to help. So, prayer changed my relationship with the Lord and it changed my perspective, because when I look at my challenges, I see them from His perspective and then they are much smaller.

I also trust God in my business, so I will always give from my income and I am amazed at how He blessed me in return, because I pray for my clients and I pray for my business, but most of all I place my trust in Him.

Therefore, I challenge you to pray more and to trust God completely. You will see His hand at work in your life. Be patient and be courageous.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Today Reminder (When I am weak) – 4 December 2018

A reminder for today
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong. (2 Corinthians 12:9-10)

My weakness is my irritation and my anger at the moment. The whole situation with my kids now in two houses plus my ex wife that is to selfish to realise what she did all fills up one huge cauldron of anger and irritation that can drive me crazy. It is as if I just can’t move forward and, in my weakness, I am so irritated at the whole thing. It is hard, and I can tell you in all honesty it is not easy for me to not have my kids around all the time. This is probably the hardest part of it all and the part that is killing me.

So, why did I choose these verses today? At the moment I feel weak almost all the time and when I read that God’s grace is enough, I am humbled again. His strength is made perfect in my weakness. He is all I need and all I will ever need. He will take my weakness and turn it into strength and He will take that which hurts so much at the moment and turn it into victory for His glory.

The enemy thinks he won, but unfortunately when I am weak I am strong and I must change my mind so that I will find pleasure in my infirmities, my persecutions and my distresses because when I rise out of this God will get all the glory and everyone will know that He is God and God over my life.

Therefore, what remains for me to do? I will continue to battle on my knees and pray from my kids and my ex and all the people in my life including all of you that have become my friends on my blog. I will not let my pain become my measure of my worth, but I will let my victory over my pain become the purpose of my life. In my victories I will show my God and I will show His love and all that will see will realise that He is the only God.

There are still much to do, and the fight is far from over. We must stay the course and keep our focus on the prize at the end of this race. It is not about us nor is about this life, it is all about God and all for Him. I can only ask that He will turn my situation around and let my kids be with me. I can only ask that He will continue to bless me and continue to strengthen me and prepare me for what awaits me, because I know great things are still to come.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Today Reminder (God is good) – 3 December 2018

A reminder for today
The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him. (Nahum 1:7)

It was a good weekend. My kids were with me and then I am calm and relaxed. We had lots of fun and I soaked up every moment, because when they are not with me, I am miserable. Maybe one day, if it is God’s will they will stay with me every day. That would be a good day.

How was you weekend? I helped my church on Friday with a software issue they had, and I am again amazed at how God just fills me with wisdom and guidance so that I can do things that may seem difficult to some. It is in these moments when I am just amazed that I feel His presence so much closer. Every day I work to get closer to Him and every day He pulls me closer.

The barriers of this world that used to keep me from His blessings are now broken and I spend more time in His presence daily. I am so blessed, and I must say the way God has blessed me and helped me in the last weeks is amazing.

God is good, all the time and all the time God is good. He is my strong hold in my day of trouble. He is the rock that keeps me steady in the winds and the waves when my kids are not with me. He knows me, because I completely trust in Him and in Him alone. He is my fortress when the enemy is trying to pull me under and He is my shield against the arrows that is coming my way.

He is my strength and my stability. He is my Father and my saviour. He is the reason I am here and the reason I am alive. He is my God and the only God I worship. He is good, and, in His goodness, I am released from this world and pulled into His world. I am not of this world, but I am a child of God and a citizen of heaven.

God is your strong hold, my friend. A place of comfort and peace. He is my calm, my strength, my hope and my joy. I am in awe of His love and mercy in my life. His goodness and His blessings. Be strong, my friend. Be courageous, be righteous and be fearless.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.
