A
reminder for today
Many
sorrows come to the wicked, but unfailing love surrounds those who trust the
LORD. (Psalm 32:10)
Love
is forever… Prophecy and speaking in unknown languages and special
knowledge will become useless. But love will last forever!
Have you ever taken a moment and just thought about what
Paul says about love when he says it will last forever. He specifically
compares it to prophecy and knowledge and he then goes on to say that prophecy
and speaking in unknown languages and special knowledge will become useless.
In the end all we have and all we know and all that we
so specifically pride ourselves on will be useless, but love will still remain.
How important is love then? Paul says that love will last forever and in a way
you can say that He compares love to God, because God is love and God is
forever.
So the love that we have now is love that will remain with
us forever. The way we love, how we love and when we love should not be a
moment but an eternal bond. Love should mend us together and establish within
us a bond that will take us to the end and beyond. My kids love the Toy Story
movies and I can’t help to quote Buzz in this moment – “To infinity and beyond”.
Our love should grow and grow and continue to grow. Love
was never designed to be a onetime thing. Love is an all-time thing. Love is
every breath we take given to us by a loving God out of mercy and grace and
love. Love is the blessings we have in our lives given out of love from a
loving God. Love is the people that walk past you every day, because they were
designed and created by God with love no matter what the circumstances. No person
was ever made without purpose and love.
Inside us exist this amazing God of love. Many sorrows
may come our way, but God’s unfailing love surrounds us and His love is forever
meaning that His love will never ever leave us. His love surrounds us which
means it is not just in us but all that we are. Every little bit that is us, is
His love.
Love to love forever…
