A
reminder for today
The
LORD merely spoke, and the heavens were created. He breathed the word, and all
the stars were born. (Psalm 33:6)
Love
is a story… But when the time of perfection comes, these partial things will
become useless.
Today, I am sharing a friend’s thoughts on love.
Love and life, my thoughts…
Love is everlasting making it a spiritual gift. Love is
an action not an emotion. God is Love, and we have to love like Jesus. This is
humanly impossible, it is a super natural ability but luckily we can
continuously pray for it. We need to become more spiritual and focus less on
this world.
When we accept this great gift and Jesus as our saviour,
our lives begin to change. Change begins with you. Our thoughts and actions
should display a live lived for Christ not man. We need to focus on Jesus and
less on man. When we can get to that point where our focus is firstly on Jesus,
we will learn how to act like Him and love like Him. The more time we spend
with Him the more our hearts will change.
When our eyes and hearts are set on Jesus, we will focus
more on our spiritual needs. We will change, our needs will change, we will
move away from earthly things and become more spiritual, we will love and act
in a loving way as it is supposed to be.
I think we will learn to love completely according to 1 Cor 13 with
time, but it will only be perfect after this life. For now we have to try every
day starting with the ones closest to us.
But this is a choice we make every day, how we live and
how we spend our time. A heart can only be changed by choice, it cannot be
forced. Free will. We can pray for them and teach them, the Holy Spirit will
guide us.
The constant battle between flesh and spirit will
continue till the end of time as we know it. The one we give in to is the one
that our actions will display. So when we give into our fleshly desires, we
will ignore our spiritual warnings, hopefully only for a moment. Then we will
fall, we will start to display negative actions such as self-pity, irritability
and anger toward our loved ones.
We should be careful not to be hypocrites not living what
we teach and not acting accordingly. People tend to learn from example not
opinions. So let’s show kindness and compassion to the person who needs it
most. We have to stop judging and start acting. Start living according to His
will and not ours.
Every day is a chance to start again and not making the
same bad choice as yesterday. I can only give account for my own life, the
choices I make, the life I lived. I will not be compared with anyone else, I
will not be weighed or excused. No one will be able to stand up for me. I have
to take responsibility for my own life.
So I think it all comes down to the choices we make. We
choose to love God, choose to spend time with Him and learning from His Word.
Choose between good and evil, right and wrong, choose to be difficult and
choose to let go of things we cannot change. Choose to live according to His
will and following His example to our best ability. Our actions and the way we
live depend upon the choices we make.
If we choose to live for Him, everything else will fall
in place. Our thoughts, our actions, our needs and what we reflect. We will be
more spiritual and become more like Him. I think we will lose ourselves as we
are known as dying human beings. Our focus will be on eternity with God and His
will. But, it is a daily choice to make, and to guard your heart and keep your
focus.
