Today Reminder – 10 October 2016

A reminder for today
Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.(Ephesians 2:18)

Have you ever felt that you are just to tired and you have absolutely no will power left. You just want to sleep and sleep and sleep. This weekend was my turn. I just had no power left and I just felt that I needed rest. It felt as if this year is just too long. I woke this morning and although I felt that this tired feeling is still there the Holy Spirit prompted me to get up and face this day. I got op and went to the gym and I feel better.

It is simply because I want to do all on my own and with my own strength. Sometimes we should take a moment and just go to the father. We should use this enormous privilege we have to speak to Him and just tell Him what is getting us down. Jesus opened this door for us so that we may speak to the Father. Do not allow this world to get to you.

I watched the “Count of Monte Cristo” again this weekend and I must say it is one of my favorites. There is a moment in the movie where Edmond gave up on God and his friend the priest said the something that remained with me. Even though you have stopped believing, God will never stop believing in you.

So today I want you to remember that God will never give up on you.

Lord, hear our prayer as we bring all that hinders us to you. Break the chains of this world and renew our strength. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
