A reminder for
today
When I think of all
this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything
in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources
he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ
will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow
down into God's love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to
understand, as all God's people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how
deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too
great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness
of life and power that comes from God.(Ephesians 3:14-19)
You must admit that when you read these verses you are
stunned. How amazing is our God and how great is His love. How deep does that
love go and how does it feel to live in fullness of life and power as it flows
from God through all of us.
This weekend was our little one’s fifth birthday and believe
it is something that was in much anticipation. And when the day finally arrived
I have never seen that little face smile so much. It is so amazing to see how
so little can make such a huge effect on a little life. He was just all smiles
all day and every time we see family there is a present and this just brought
that beautiful little smile back.
Watching him made me realize how it should be when God enters
our lives and how each day from there should be. I couldn’t help to think that
Paul said he found joy in his troubles and challenges for he knew that when we
are in the midst of our storms God is with us and what we do is for Him. I
can’t help to think that we have no way of comprehending God’s love. We can
never fully see how great He is not while we are limited by our earthly
existence, but we can get a very good idea when we see God move and how He make
us complete in Him.
So today I want to say happy birthday so that you can smile
as my little boy did for you are a child of God and saved by His grace. You are
in the process of being made complete so that you can live in fullness.
Lord, I pray that you will bless us with your love today and
lead us on this path so that we will be able to live in fullness of life. Fill us
with your power and light our way as we follow your voice. In Jesus name.
