A reminder for
today
Your love has
given me much joy and comfort, my brother, for your kindness has often
refreshed the hearts of God's people. (Philemon 1:7)
Kindness is the language of love that we display in a
visible form. To be kind to another is to show God’s love in one of its most
beautiful forms. My dear friend, your love and your passion for our Lord gives
me much joy and comfort. Your kindness refreshes the hearts of people around
you and your love for other is a blessing in a very dark world. Everyone desires
compassion and love and everyone needs someone. We were not designed to be
alone, that is why God created Eve as a companion and friend to Adam. Unfortunately,
she also made a mistake, but mistakes can be forgiven and mistakes can be fixed
by kindness. Adam did not reject Eve for her mistake, instead he remained by
her side. Do not let anger control your thoughts, but let love overcome anger
in kindness. A kind word can destroy evil and send the enemy on his way.
So today we should try and refresh the hearts of God’s
people with kindness. Let your heart be the heart of Jesus and let your words
be the words of Jesus as we use love and kindness to transform darkness to
light. Be the light, my friend, because you have more light in you than what
this world can come up with.
Our God is an awesome God and He is our strength and our
hope. He is the light that we follow and the joy that keeps us praising Him. Our
God is greater.
Lord, let your light be visible in the kindness we show and
let your love flow through us as we bring hope and comfort. Let us wear your
armour and defend your people against the enemy. In Jesus name.
