Today Reminder – 21 November 2014 (Day 15 – Moments)

A reminder for today
I will wait for the LORD, who has turned away from the descendants of Jacob. I will put my hope in him. (Isaiah 8:17)

The silent storm is the one that rages on inside of us. Each one of us at some point has a silent storm in us that no one knows about or sees. We walk into each day fighting to survive in this onslaught of emotions that dwells within us. It can become very emotional and it will start to drain our strength as we continue to fight at it. Sometimes it is something that we need to change or that we want to get away from. Sometimes it could be people in our lives or people that we work with. Sometimes it could be our own misdirection or misconceptions that create this storm within us and sometimes it is purely irritation that builds us. In the end we battle silently with something that we are trying to fight on our own.

Today my moment is purely my way I am going to handle my silent storms. I will wait for the Lord and I will put my hope in Him. I will seek His truth and His grace so that I can live free. I stand before Him and I lift my hands. Here I am with arms wide open. Let His presence fill me and set me free.

Look to God's instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark. They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness (Isaiah 8:20-22)

The Light came to the world to break the darkness that fills us and brighten up our lives with a hope that is unbreakable as we walk in His light and follow His voice.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 20 November 2014 (Day 14 – Moments)

A reminder for today
Make the LORD of Heaven's Armies holy in your life. He is the one you should fear. He is the one who should make you tremble. He will keep you safe. (Isaiah 8:13-14)

I am troubled in my moment today as I think about these verses. Do we fear God or do we like to think we do? I think I do not fear Him the way one should fear His judgement. When we are afraid of something it consumes you and you are reluctant to encounter those fear, because of the way it makes you feel. In contradiction to fear God the Bible also mentions 365 times that you should not be afraid. So why should we fear God or do we understand it correct?

To fear God is to fear His judgement. When we live a life that glorifies His name and honour His ways we will never need to fear anything and least of all His judgement. When we live against His ways and guidance we are headed for destruction.

So today I am humbled again when I look at the way Jesus lived. He said that He is the way and His way is the only way. Come with me today my friend as we realign our lives with Him and reconcile our ways with His ways. Let us follow the Master and live to be like Him. Let us go down on our knees and allow Him to change us so that we will be the friends that He so need. Let us forget about ourselves and focus on Him so that we will have nothing that comes between us and His grace. Let us be more, because with Him we are without limits.

In the end, all we have is Him.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Today Reminder – 19 November 2014 (Day 13 – Moments)

A reminder for today
All right then, the Lord himself will give you the sign. Look! The virgin will conceive a child! She will give birth to a son and will call him Immanuel (which means 'God is with us') (Isaiah 7:14)

I am at the foot of the Cross looking up at my saviour as His blood drips washing away my dark and breaking open my shell to show a new light to the world. I feel His pain as I see the wounds and the anguish on His face. I see His loving eyes smile on me through the suffering and the blood running out of the holes made by a crown of thorns. I hear His voice tremble when He calls out “It is done”.

My friend, you have been saved by Jesus Christ who became a man (God is with us) and lived a humble life with nothing but the clothes on His body. He stood up and gave the message as God wanted it to be heard and finally He was captured, tortured and crucified. He died a terrible death to bring you out of your brokenness and into a healed and repaired Spirit.

The crimson lines that covered His body as He hung from the cross paved a new life for us so that we may journey as foreigners in this world travelling through it on our way to Him.  Just as He did, we require no greatness nor do we need riches and fame to survive. All we need is Him and in Him we will conquer all that this world is and enter the new world that He prepared for us.

He is with us. Look up, my friend, see the cross and know that there is nothing that can take you from Him – ever.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 18 November 2014 (Day 12 – Moments)

A reminder for today
"Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of Heaven's Armies! The whole earth is filled with his glory!" (Isaiah 6:1)

I stand before the Lord today and I am in awe as I see the wonder of His hands over all the earth. I look at all around me and I am once again stunned at His perfection and His wonderful grace. I am filled with emotion as I am filled with His love and strength. My moment is a moment filled with His presence and the wonder of His blessings.

Here I am Lord as I stand on the rooftops and I am shouting out your name. I am yours and all that I am I place into your hands. I lift up my hands as I proclaim that I am yours and I live for you.

Come my friend and stand with me in this moment with hands wide open as we embrace His presence in our lives – the everlasting God. And let us shout out and proclaim that we belong to Him and that all we are is His and belongs to Him. Let us stand and watch as He breaks the chains that keep us bondage and lift us up so that we will fly like eagles and soar on the winds of our storms, free and fearless.

Let us draw near to Him and surrender our hearts to Him. He lives and lives in us.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Today Reminder – 17 November 2014 (Day 11 – Moments)

A reminder for today
Tell the godly that all will be well for them. They will enjoy the rich reward they have earned! (Isaiah 3:10)

The last couple of days in this month have been difficult. The enemy have tried almost every possible thing to break my will and make me fall. I guess there are good days and bad days - days when all goes well and days when all falls apart. So today I stand on a mountain and I am looking out over the valley that lies ahead. The mountain is where I am currently in my journey and the valley that lies ahead of me is the times that still await me. Each one of us has to cross our valley (or valleys) and come up on the other side. When I look down into this valley it looks like a maze with many little roads and walk ways that winds and curls into each other. From where I stand it is difficult to trace the correct path that leads to the other side. Besides the maze of roads there are huge rocks and rivers that you must cross. There are wild animals and dangerous snakes.

For a moment it feels just fine to stay where I am and not to enter this valley. But when I look at the other side where I am supposed to be, it is rich with water and food. There are so much more there than here where I am now.
As I stand here contemplating my options I hear a voice - “Tell the godly that all will be well for them.”

Come my friend and let us take the first step towards tomorrow. This journey is going to be tough and dreadful at every corner and the roads are a maze filled with danger everywhere we are headed. But it is like that for those who do not believe, because for us it is all just a moment and we have a guide.

Run wild, live free and love strong.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus
