Today's thought - 28 July 2025

The people wanted to put Jeremiah to death for bringing God’s Word to them by saying they should repent of their evil ways and then God will not continue with the evil He pronounced against them. God calls all of us.

We are called to live a life committed to His ways and to carry His Word every where you go. The minute you start this you will be facing more and more trials. Believe me I am constantly under attack as the enemy fights to make me fall.

I have to take my thoughts captive every moment each day and resist the enemy. Some will embrace the gift of salvation and some will not. Where are you in your walk with Jesus? What does your time in the Word look like? A friend of mine said if your Bible falls apart from use your life will not. I urge you to seek God and spend time in His Word.

He will bless your life and you will have complete peace and share this gift.

Today's thought - 27 July 2025

Last night the Holy Spirit reminded me of James 1. We must never think with a wordly mindset rather think with God in the right place. God will make all things work out for good and even in our worst darkest place, He steps in and strengthen us. James says a crown of life awaits you when you endure temptation.

This is a promise by God. Jesus said He came so that you have life in abundance. This means free from fear and sin and truly living righteous because in this lies a great reward. My dear friend, why does the enemy work so hard to keep you from a life lived as God intended?

He knows the power that is in you and once you are aligned with the Holy Spirit and you walk in full obedience, then you are a mayor problem for satan. Then you will truly experience God in everything and you will impact the world around you and God will bless you in everything. Believe me, the journey is not easy but the reward is so worth it.

Come with me today as we fully dedicate our lives in obedience to God’s Word.

Today's thought - 26 July 2025

I think the very first line summarises it. Live carefully. Paul writes here in Ephesians that we should walk as children of the light because the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

To take full advantage of every day is living completely for God’s purpose. As we align ourselves more and more with God’s will and continually be filled by the Holy Spirit we grow in power and strength in God who works through us.

The more we seek Him, the more we become like Him. Ask for wisdom and listen to His voice. We live in evil times and the only way we can overcome all evil and all attacks is if we live close to God.

My dear friend, do not neglect your time with God and reading His Word. His Word is the very power that we have to resist the enemy when he comes with his lies and deceit. Let no man deceive you and steer clear of them.

Walk in the light and desire fellowship with God.

Today's thought - 25 July 2025

Today God places this on my heart. He is not a distant God nor is He a passive God. He is up close and with you at all times. He sees and knows all you do and all you face. He knows the inner most intimate thoughts of each of us. He shares in our joy and also in our pain.

He sees your hurt and your troubles. He clearly states that His Word is a fire and stone destroying hammer. There is so much power in God’a Word that is why we must spend time in it.

Paul wrote: For we have the living Word of God, which is full of energy, like a two-mouthed sword. It will even penetrate to the very core of our being where soul and spirit, bone and marrow meet! It interprets and reveals the true thoughts and secret motives of our hearts. There is not one person who can hide their thoughts from God, for nothing that we do remains a secret, and nothing created is concealed, but everything is exposed and defenseless before his eyes, to whom we must render an account.

He knows, just trust Him and seek Him.

Today's thought - 24 July 2025

When you give your life to Jesus and leave your former life behind, you step into a new way of thinking. I battled the last few days and my question to the Holy Spirit was simply where do we go from here.

He pointed me to Galatians 5 where Paul writes about the battle between your carnal self and the new life you accepted. He reminded me that if I continue to fall back on my self reliance system, I will fail.

God allowed sin into this world knowing that in an intimate and trusting relationship with Him we can overcome all things. This means we must stop hindering the Holy Spirit to live freely in us thus guiding us on our way.

It is so important that we let go of the past and who we were. At last we have freedom, for Christ has set us free! We must always cherish this truth and firmly refuse to go back into the bondage of our past.

Today's thought - 23 July 2025

Jeremiah writes: Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness And his chambers by injustice, Who uses his neighbor’s service without wages And gives him nothing for his work. What does this world have to offer? Jesus teached about the man building His house on a rock. Where do you stand today? Who is the centre of your world?

We need to right size God in our lives. He is not the buddy you phone when your wife is angry or when you need a lift. He is God who established the heavens and the earth. He is the very life inside you. Should He not be the very centre of you.

Give God the right place in your life and the storms of this life will be nothing compared to the peace and strength we have in Jesus.  David said: Lift up your heads, O you gates! And be lifted up, you everlasting doors! And the King of glory shall come in.

Knock and He will open. Seek and you shall find. Seek Him above all and than you will find a reward greater than you could ever imagine. Each one will be rewarded according to his works. Who are you working for?

Let the King of glory enter and let His grace break fear. Let Him be the rock you stand on and the foundation of your faith for we walk by faith and not by sight. Hold on to Him for He will save you from all that comes against you.

Today's thought - 22 July 2025

This morning I had a moment of dispair as I looked at my situation and how I miss my little girl. For a moment the enemy grabbed the chance and flooded my head with depression. I stopped and turned to the Holy Spirit. He acted immediatly and reminded me what He has done and why these things happened. Instead of feeling depressed He placed a new song in my heart and reminded me of my purpose. My dear friend come with me as we just renew our minds and place our trust fully in God. Let us ignore the lies and give no respect to the proud but instead fully depend on God as He pulls us out of our pit if dispair and into our purpose. No weapon formed against you will succeed nor will any curse afflict you. His arm protects you and His power is in you. Stand up and fight because you are a mighty warrior. With Jesus we can do anything.

Today's thought - 21 July 2025

Paul wrote: Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect. God should always be the centre of your thoughts. I find that when I relax in my commitment my mind is filled with worthless nonsense. God pulls us out of our distress and He hears our prayers. It is in our transformation from our old self into a new creation that our minds is transformed by our commitment in building a closer relationship with God in our walk with the Holy Spirit. My dad loved to say if you put your mind to it, you can do anything. Allow the Holy Spirit to guide you to change the way you think. Then turn away from the world and build your treasures in heaven. God is always listening. Just pray.

Today's thought - 18 July 2025

Do you want to live a long, good life, enjoying the beauty that fills each day? Then never speak a lie or allow wicked words to come from your mouth. Words are the downfall of so many of us. We forget how much power there is in words. In a single word we can either curse or bless. James writes - And so the tongue is a small part of the body yet it carries great power! Just think of how a small flame can set a huge forest ablaze. And the tongue is a fire! It can be compared to the sum total of wickedness and is the most dangerous part of our human body. It corrupts the entire body and is a hellish flame! It releases a fire that can burn throughout the course of human existence. Guard what you speak, my dear friend and always strive to speak what is good and what produces fruit over other. What is in your heart will be on your lips, so let the love of God be the very thoughts that you share. You are so much more than what the world produces. You are a child of the God most high, saved and paid for by the blood of Jesus. I speak life over you. Be true in all you say and do.

Today’s Journal – 5 April 2025

And I will wait upon the Lord, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will look for him. Behold, I and the children whom the Lord hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the Lord of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion (Isaiah 8:17-18).

People give up way to easily. If things do not go our way or happen fast enough people would think prayer does not work or they are doing it wrong. This is utter nonsense. God moves in His time and sometimes we or what we pray for is not in the position where it will be fully to our advantage and glorification of God. When God answers prayer lives normally change and people are affected by the faith of other. God answers prayer and the continuous prayer of a righteous person has great effect. Therefore, wait upon the Lord, He is not hiding, He is waiting for the right moment that will uplift all. That is why we as His children will see many wonders if we remain steadfast in prayer.
