Today Reminder - 15 June 2012 (Humble)

My prayer for you for today is that you will resist all evil and humbly follow the guidance of God, in Jesus name.

James 4:7-10
So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. Let there be tears for what you have done. Let there be sorrow and deep grief. Let there be sadness instead of laughter, and gloom instead of joy. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honour.

Humble - So humble yourselves before God. I believe that you should follow Jesus with a humble, dependent and loyal heart. There are three things that stand out in this scripture and I will highlight them for you:

So humble yourselves before God – It is so important that we are humble. Pride can destroy us and pride on its own will separate you from God. When we truly love we will humbly place ourselves in the background and live to show Jesus in all that we do. Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up in honour.

Resist the devil, and he will flee from you – As long as the devil has a grip on you he will use it with every chance he gets. If we resist him, he will have no power over us and the things of this world will not matter anymore.

Come close to God, and God will come close to you – I love this and believe me it is so true. The closer we move towards God, the closer He comes to us, and the closer God is to us the more of Him will be visible in us.

My dear friend, today we will start to resist the devil and all the temptation this world can possibly bring as we humble ourselves before God to move closer to Him so that He will be visible in all that we are and in all that we do. Live to know Jesus and know to live Jesus.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
