A reminder for
today
So humble
yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift
you up in honor. (1 Peter 5:6)
How are you, my friend? How do we remain positive in a world
that is filled with hate and destruction? How do we see God’s hand when all we
see is pain and suffering? How do we remain calm when muslim refugees attack woman
in Europe? How can we stand by and watch as the money powers of the world
dictates what we must do and believe? It is not easy. This morning I said to my
gym partner the hardest thing to do is to be a Christian. All we must do is
trust Jesus and follow 10 simple rules and still it is at times impossible. Why
is this?
You see the enemy is the ultimate liar. He is driving this
world into destruction. He does this because you and I are made in God’s image
and he hates God. So, he will use anyone and anything to hurt us and drive us into
the ground. It is terrible, because we live in this world and all we want is
for people to make it to heaven.
Now here is the part that you must take in today. Despite all
the hurt and all the hate and all the pain, you must always remember that God
is in control. He is the only reality we must focus on and He will destroy all
evil. The enemy wants you to lose hope, because Jesus is your hope. He wants
you to give up, because then you have lost. Jesus went through the same hate
and the same pain. In fact, He went through much worse. Do not let the lies of
the enemy confuse you and do not let the media alter your focus. We must
continue to humble ourselves before God and continue to trust Him alone. The end
is not far and the judgement of evil will be severe. Remain humble under His
mighty power and He will lift us up at the right time. This world has no
future, but with Jesus we have more than a future. We have eternity. Do not
give up and continue to stand strong and be courageous. Jesus is the way and
the truth and the life. Do not fear to share this and do not fear the enemy. He
is weak. Our God is an awesome God. Just look up at the heavens and see His
glory and you will be renewed. You are in my prayers – always.
Lord, open our eyes to your way and let us see your work. Take
away our fears and fill us with courage and strength as we unite in you. In
Jesus name.
