Today Reminder - 28 January 2013 (Old habits)

A reminder for today
"But I assure you of this: If you ever forget the LORD your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed.” (Deuteronomy 8:19)

Old habits:

They say old habits die hard and that you cannot teach an old dog new tricks. In life we are much the same, we change our lives and give our hearts to the Lord, but ever so often those old habits creep in and we loosen our grip on the Lord and we allow our emotions to get the better of us.

It is when we seem to forget the Lord and try and walk on our own when we become vulnerable and the enemy moves in to push us over the edge. These are the times when we get angry or when we are jealous or annoyed or irritated and we slip and make mistakes.

My dear friend, do not forget the Lord in your daily journey. On our own we will not be strong enough to withstand the evil in this world and on our own we will fall. With God we are an unstoppable force and a difficult target. Do not let the influences of this world get the better of you, but place your trust in the Lord and confirm your dependence on Him each day.

I pray that you will start each day with the Lord and that you will be strong against the evils of this world, in Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
