Today Reminder - 29 January 2013 (Require)

A reminder for today
"And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases Him, and love Him and serve Him with all your heart and soul.” (Deuteronomy 10:12)

What does the LORD your God require of you?

Jesus summarized the entire law in basically two sentences in Matthew 22:  Jesus replied, "'You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind. ‘This is the first and greatest commandment. A second is equally important: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.' The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments."

Moses summarized it also in very much the same way. He also said that you must love the Lord your God and serve Him with all your heart and soul.  Let’s look at the meaning of the word “love” – Love: An intense feeling of deep affection. To love the Lord your God means to have an intense feeling of deep affection for Him and together with that Moses said you must fear the Lord and this is out of respect for who He is. Jesus said that you must love Him with all your heart and all your soul and all your mind, meaning that there must be no space between you and God. God must fill your very being.

My dear friend, God requires that you love Him and that your heart, soul and mind belong to Him. This lifestyle is not an easy one and one that requires hard work from within us. I believe that on our knees we will truly find the meaning of loving God completely, and living a life like that will bear fruit wherever you find yourself. This is the life we must desire.

I pray that you will live a life that reflects the true meaning of love for God and that God will see your heart and bless you for your dedication to Him, in Jesus name.

I leave you with this final thought from Romans 14: "'As surely as I live,' says the LORD, 'every knee will bend to me,  and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.'"

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
