Today Reminder - 15 October 2013 (Day 11 - Living in the Kingdom)

A reminder for today
The LORD was with Jehoshaphat because he followed the example of his father's early years and did not worship the images of Baal. (2 Chronicles 17:3)

How was your day yesterday? I do hope full of wonderful victories for the kingdom of God. Are you familiar with phrase “Lead by example”? I certainly am and sure enough I keep forgetting it. I think currently my greatest challenge is my son. We often forget that people will look at us for guidance or wisdom or help and sometimes people will follow our example. I see this so clearly with my son. He would follow my example and unfortunately the example that he copies so well is my bad ones.

We live in a world where Christianity is scrutinised daily and people will look at us and yes they will always see our mistakes first. It is sad in that sense that people’s mistakes is always seen and always well discussed in gossip. Just look at the news. Nobody buys a newspaper if it is all about the nice things on celebrities; no people are drawn by their pain and mistakes. How sad is that! We would rather read and talk about someone else’s pain than say a good thing about them even when they make mistakes. Yet we are unhappy when other does the same to us.

To be an ambassador for God and to expand His kingdom is a huge responsibility and one we so often take very lightly. We are Christians yet we do not live a life that reflects that. My dear friend, come with me and let us take our responsibility as Christians very seriously as we live each moment to bring glory to God and display the true characteristics of a Christians as we follow the footsteps of our Lord Jesus Christ.

"God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God.
God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way”. (Matthew 5:3-12)

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
