Today Reminder - 09 October 2013 (Day 7 - Living in the Kingdom)

A reminder for today
Then Asa cried out to the LORD his God, "O LORD, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty! Help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in you alone. It is in your name that we have come against this vast horde. O LORD, you are our God; do not let mere men prevail against you!" (2 Chronicles 14:11)

Another day in the Kingdom of God, may your day be one of success and victories. This verse just stood out to me and I thought we have to add it to our discussion today. We spoke about the battle that we are in and how God is warning the enemy that they will surely lose if they come up against Him.

Today the Lord is bringing our focus back to the task at hand and that is expanding the kingdom and being a difference maker in your area or home of place of work. You see we can try our best to live a life suitable to the standards that is set in the Word of God, but there are times when we feel powerless. I love how king Asa says that “O LORD, no one but you can help the powerless against the mighty!” and then he goes on to say “Help us, O LORD our God, for we trust in you alone.”

How awesome is that. Only the Lord can help the powerless against the mighty. This is another confirmation we are receiving from the Lord telling us that we must not quit the fight. We must stand up and try again. The Lord will help us to succeed. No one can stand in our way as we carry the gospel with us to bring light to those still bound by darkness. The enemy will try and stop us and some people will not accept the live in Jesus, but then king Asa says “O LORD, you are our God; do not let mere men prevail against you!"

My dear friend, do not fear the people factor. I know it is tough to be a Christian in an environment where people do not care about the gospel and they live their lives without a care in the world for what they do and what they say and who they hurt or who they step on. God is telling us to continue our struggle and not to worry or concern ourselves about what people think or say, for God will not allow mere men to prevail against His kingdom and we will surely not be defeated by their careless way of life or their spiteful ways.

I pray that the Lord will help us for we trust in Him alone and that we will not be discouraged or defeated by people but rather that we will be more determined by the power the Lord will place in us so that we can defeat the mighty and bring freedom to those needing the gospel.

Have and awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
