Today Reminder – 12 August 2014 (Day 8 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today
Drink water from your own well—share your love only with your wife. (Proverbs 5:15)

In today’s world divorce has become as easy as getting take-away food. I guess we have gotten lazy at trying and trying again. We give up when our picture of life fades and we feel that we have been robbed of our happiness. I always say that love is a two way street. It needs to give and receive. The enemy knows this just as well and he will do anything in his power to block this street and cause a bottleneck. Sometimes we give up and seek comfort elsewhere and this is when our congested street becomes a thorn in the flesh. It is then when we enter dangerous ground. Everything in life requires hard work and dedication. Our faithful life towards our Lord is one of constant struggles and battles, yet we should continue to persevere and follow His ways. In the same sense we should dedicate our marriages to Him and follow His guidance. We can never forgive too much and we can never try too much. When God brought you together He had a plan and His plans are perfect. Why do we question Him when we know this?  Let your wife be a fountain of blessing for you. Rejoice in the wife of your youth. She is a loving deer, a graceful doe. May you always be captivated by her love. An evil man is held captive by his own sins; they are ropes that catch and hold him (verses 18 – 23).

In every man there is a fool and in every woman there is a fool, but in every man there is a king and in every woman there is a queen. When the fool talks, the fool answers, but when the queen talks, the king answers (Pastor Lindie McCauley).

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
