reminder for today
Pride
leads to disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom. (Proverbs 11:2)
Pride is better known as arrogance and self-importance.
We see it so often today where people are always in a rush to get somewhere and
they get angry at the smallest of problems. Road rage has become a daily
problem where people are too arrogant to accept other’s faults where they
scream and shout at almost every other driver. It does not end there. We see it
at work and in our shops where people are so quick to get irritated. Often
people are worse because of a position they have or their wealth makes them
feel more important. Humility brings wisdom and we should be humble. God
despises arrogance and He has no time for self-importance. We should understand
that all is from God and each one is equally loved by Him. We have no right to
judge and deem ourselves superior to other. For
even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve others and to give his
life as a ransom for many. (Mark 10:45) – Why should we be different?
