Today Reminder – 29 October 2014 (Day 21 – Faith)

A reminder for today
It was by faith that the people of Israel went right through the Red Sea as though they were on dry ground. But when the Egyptians tried to follow, they were all drowned. (Hebrews 11:29)

It is funny how we are at day two in this week and it already feels like day five. So far it has been a week filled with challenges that causes stress which leads to irritation and frustration. I must say that the last few weeks have been tough and to top it all, it is only going to get harder. Our work load for the next two months has increased drastically which means that we are standing on the edge of a storm. My days have been tormented by emotional and physical challenges that are pushing me to the very edge of my limitations.

How are you doing my friend? Today I have this beautiful image of us standing at the banks of our problems that lies ahead of us like a sea of storms. As we stand on the edge we can feel the power of the wind as it gushes at our bodies splashing wave after wave on the rocks below our feet. The cold water combined with the chilly wind freezes our bodies and leaves as gasping for our breath as fear drips from our hands and into the water below. Thunder cracks open the clouded sky highlighting the heavy rain that starts to pour over us. As the world shakes below us with the ongoing storm that rages ahead we look up and call out to the Lord in faith.

Suddenly His hand reaches out of the clouds touching us and touching the sea of storms ahead of us. The wind howls and howls and the water suddenly break apart leaving a gap for us to walk on. The water parts and creates a dry road for us to travel on safely through the storm as the waves that threatened our existence now shadow our journey. We walk by faith safely through the sea while our problems drown behind us.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus

Cheers
