Today Reminder (Glory) – 29 September 2017

A reminder for today
I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. (Psalm 91:2)

I love Psalm 91 and it is definitely one of my favourites. It is Friday (again) and I am truly grateful for all the Lord has done and is still doing in my life. I am overwhelmed with work, but grateful for it. So, today my reminder is a song of praise for my God and the King of my life.

Lord, you are my all and in you I find my refuge and strength. I have no more fears for all my worries and concerns are safely in your hands. I am especially grateful for my family and my health and I am glad you love me so much. There are no storms in my life as I walk with you over the waters that threatens my peace. I see the enemy flee from me as my heart and soul is anchored in your powerful foundation. You are my revival and on you I wait patiently for I know you will return soon. Even in this time that I am so tired and exhausted I am not worried, because you will renew my strength. I will run and I will not grow weary. I will walk and I will not faint and will soar on wings of eagles. You are my all. You are the air in my lungs and the blood in my veins. You are the morning star and the scarlet rays of the sun as my day comes to an end. You are the stars in the night sky and the moon guiding my feet. You are the beginning and the end of each and you are eternal. I will stand on your word, because this is where my hope is found. You bring peace into my life and you fill me with joy as I hear your voice and follow your ways. Your love has lifted me above all my cries and you take all that which is wrong and you make it right. You took a broken vessel and you made it a new beacon of hope. You are my God and only you will get all the glory and all the praise now and forever. I look forward to being with you, because in you there is no death.

Lord, you are all I ever need and you are my refuge and fortress and in you alone I trust.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
