Today Reminder (Dinosaurs) – 4 September 2017

A reminder for today
Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man. But as for me, I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear will I worship toward thy holy temple. (Psalm 5:6-7)

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. I had coffee and buttermilk rusks yesterday and it was awesome. I love a cheat day and I always use it well, especially when I can add a little chocolate to my day. It is amazing how your body responds to a little unhealthy eating after a week of keeping strict to your diet. So, what did dinosaurs eat? Well, firstly let’s put on our Biblical glasses and look at the question again. God created animals on day six, so Dinosaurs were created by God on day six with the rest of the land animals (Genesis 1:24-25). So, Dinosaurs are not millions of years old and they lived beside man. Now you would say that if a T-Rex lived in the garden of Eden, would he not eat Adam and Eve?

The problem is that many people get their ideas about Dinosaurs from Hollywood movies which is fiction. Is Hollywood trying to tell and accurate story or are they trying to tell an entertaining story? Think about this: if Dinosaurs did not go extinct but instead the Elephant did and we go to watch Jurassic park, we will probably see an Elephant running around and killing people with its tusks. This would be a misrepresentation, because we cannot tell the behaviour of an animal by its bones.
Now fossils do not come with labels telling you how old they are. Do we have evidence that Dinosaurs did not live so long ago? Well yes, do you know that they found evidence of Dinosaur red blood cells in Montana and more recently they found soft tissue of a T-Rex also in Montana. This is evidence that is consistent with what the Bible teaches.

So, what did Dinosaurs eat? They ate plants and how do we know that? Genesis 1:29-30 we read that all land animals ate plants. So, originally all the Dinosaurs ate plants like all the other animals God created. One more thing, to eat meat you will have to eat a dead thing and before sin there was no death. After sin entered the world this might have changed as we see in animals today, but definitely not before. Now, many will say what about their teeth, surely that means they were meat eaters. Now remember some plants require sharp teeth. There are also many animals alive today with very sharp teeth that only eats plants like the Black Uakari or the fruit bat.

We can conclude, God made Dinosaurs on day six and not millions of years ago and originally, they all ate plants. Do not let satan’s worldly marketing confuse you or let you believe his lies. God made it all and it is about six thousand years ago.

Lord, once again we thank you for all the evidence we have and the truth we have in you. Guard our minds and especially the minds of our children against the lies of the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day, dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
