Today Reminder – 20 February 2017

A reminder for today
Jesus told him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me. (John 14:6)

It is Monday! Aaaaah! This weekend was so short. My youngest had his athletics on Friday. It was so much fun for the little ones. He was a ball of excitement when we arrived at school and he just wanted to run. Therefore, the event was all fun and games. The rest of the weekend was work and rest. My sister visited us and it was an amazing blessing to have her here. How was your weekend? What did you do? Did you sleep in a bit? I hope you did. The body needs rest too. I woke up this morning and it was pouring outside. When I got the gym, it rained even harder. It is so awesome and I just wanted to stay home. It is still raining outside and we are expecting it to rain all week long. I love the rain and it is unbelievable how God is blessing us with more rain each month.

Looking at the rain reminded me again that there is only one God. There is only one Jesus and there is only one way to heaven. It is amazing how many people miss this and is ignorant to the truth. I must say it actually annoys me from time to time to see how many people are misguided and how simple their beliefs are. Then they are stubborn and set in their ways. Jesus told us to be patient and plant the seeds, but some days I feel that I just want to grab them and shake them a little so that they can wake up. It is hard to spread the gospel when we sow our seeds onto soil that is hardened and dry. Farmers does not stop planting when the weather is against them. They keep the faith and they continue to farm. We should be the same. When the people we talk to are difficult, we should continue to fight on our knees. Do not give up on other, we can’t stand around and see them perish. You would not want someone to ignore you when they know what is coming. So do not do let the enemy mess with you head. God can change any heart, just let Him do it in His time.

So today, take a look at yourself. See how wonderful you are made. Look at you hand and feet, you body and your heart. Look at your eyes and your ears and see the perfection that your body functions with. Look ahead at the way that our journey is taking us on. This journey is a journey where Jesus will never let you be alone. He will never let you fail as long as you keep your eyes on Him. He is the way and He is the truth and He is life. He is in you and you are unstoppable. So let this way be the way that you walk and talk. Let this truth be the truth that you tell. Let this life be the life that you live so that other will come to desire this way, seek this truth, and need this life.

Lord, let us spread your gospel without fear and with determined hearts so that we can stop the destruction of the enemy and save lives. Let us wear your armour fearlessly and with pride as we battle the enemy. In Jesus name.

Have an awesome day dear friend of Jesus.

Cheers

Just to remind you

When I say that 'I am a Christian', I am not shouting that 'I am clean living. I'm whispering 'I was lost, but now I'm found and forgiven.'  When I say 'I am a Christian', I don't speak of this with pride. I'm confessing that I stumble and need Christ to be my guide.   When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not trying to be strong. I'm professing that I'm weak and need His strength to carry on.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not bragging of success. I'm admitting I have failed and need God to clean my mess.  When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not claiming to be perfect. My flaws are far too visible, but God believes I am worth it. When I say 'I am a Christian', I still feel the sting of pain. I have my share of heartaches, so I call upon His name. When I say 'I am a Christian', I'm not holier than you. I’m just a simple sinner who received God...

Today Reminder – 7 August 2014 (Day 5 – Return to Proverbs)

A reminder for today Honour the LORD with your wealth and with the best part of everything you produce. Then he will fill your barns with grain, and your vats will overflow with good wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10) When we realise that all we are and all that we are good at is a blessing from the Lord we soon see how we can honour Him with these wonderful talents. I give all the credit to the Lord for all that I accomplish and all that I do and I am humbled by the way He continues to give me wisdom in my work. The promise here is much greater than we realise. When we honour Him with all that we produce, He will fill our barns and let our vats overflow. This to me means that the more we honour Him in what we produce (do) the more He will bless what we do up to the extend where we will see His blessings and they will leave us completely overwhelmed. In the end all that we have comes from God and He will increase what we have when we seek Him above all and live to bring glory to Him. ...

Today Reminder (Boxes) – 9 November 2017

A reminder for today   I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End [the Eternal One]. (Revelation 22:13 ) When you are reading this, I will be well on my way to my parents. Today is their moving day and we are off to help. Now, when it comes to moving I am almost an expert. We moved a few times and I can tell you it was never fun. Even still today our furniture starts to shake when a truck drives by. Now moving is all about boxes. Your stuff goes into the box and then onto the truck and finally at the new destination the stuff comes out of the box. One thing I can tell you is that with every move our stuff got lesser and lesser, because I gave some away that I thought we do not need anymore. Some would think I just made it less and easier to move. I would argue the opposite, but surely everyone is entitled to their own opinion. When we look at life it is a bit like moving. You see we experience things in life and we box it. This c...
